Service was awesome and even called to extend the large dumpster rental. But when I call for pickup I talked 2 one guy and got transferred to pay the remaing balance she got mad because I didnt talk to her first but I can only talk to whoever the call goes to and at the end I ask so what I need to pay and she just says bye

Changed pick up dates without notice. Ordered dumpster. Dropped of too early. Picked it up late. Said they were coming to get missed pickup and never did. Raise prices every year.

I have been waiting for cans for weeks. No joy. They cancelled my neighbors trash service thinking it was me (I have no idea how they confused starting with cancelling service and how they got her address). I have called repeatedly and spoken to some truly nice and helpful customer service representatives, but still no cans and no service. Today I got the first bill in the mail. How in the wide world of sports do they believe that it is appropriate or acceptable to bill me for a service they have NEVER provided and for cans that they KNOW they have never delivered??!! Complete and utter failure at providing the basic service that they are in business to provide. All of the information I provide with each phone call is lost immediately after I hang up the phone. I am shocked at how they conduct business. Truly a telling example of the dangers of service monopolies!Kudos to the lovely customer service reps, they have been exceedingly nice and pleasant. Unfortunately, the business they work for is beginning to force me to become unpleasant.I normally would encourage people to utilize a different service, but as there is NO other service we are forced to be subjugated and abused by a company with the inability to do anything accurately and timely except send bills.+1 for their accounts receivable department. At least they actually know my address.....🤔

In the two years weve lived in Albany, Ive had to nothing but problems with Republic Services. My house is on a corner lot and for some reason RS cannot figure out what route Im on. When we first moved in, they told us Tuesday was our pick up day. Two weeks go by, our cans are on the curb each Monday night but by Wednesday morning theyre still there and full. I called and they said, oh no, your day is Thursday. So we leave the containers out. No one picks them up Thursday. More phone calls and they decide our day is Tuesday again. Everything is fine for about a year, then it starts up again. A manager tells me no, my route is most definitely Thursdays except they somehow forget to tell their drivers. The past couple of months our service has been on the whim of the drivers. If they didnt have a monopoly, Id drop them like a hot rock. I NEVER had issues with RS in Corvallis.

Huge disappointment! I have this company on camera trespassing on my property and going through my fence to retain cans that were not theirs. I could not get in contact with anyone at this company to return my property. I want this to reflect on how poor this company will treat any person.

I have had republic service for several years. Other than an occasional temperamental driver, Ive never had a bad experience. I love their friendly attitudes and that they are always eager to help. Great job folks!

UPDATE: I contacted this company on their Facebook page and was surprised to get a response by someone who could do something for us. She eventually called me and made sure to let me know she would do what she could to get us a new garbage can this weekend. I still think they need to reevaluate their policies regarding replacement cans but I am glad to have a chance to update this review for the better.Original: We had a garbage can stolen and when I called on a Monday the lady I spoke to said we would have one delivered by the end of the week to replace it. Friday came and no can. So I called. They cant get one to us til the next Monday and after it is delivered THEN we can call and have a pick up scheduled for the next day. So until then, we have no place to put our garbage and it wont get picked up on time. They wont deliver one and you cant go pick one up because they use a 3rd party company who they have no information to contact. Very frustrating to be lied to and inconvenienced by a company for something that is not our fault. They need to reevaluate their policies.

This company is now not managed locally. When you call the calls are answered on the East Coast. They could not be more inefficient if they tried. It hit or miss whether you get the services you ask for (and pay for). I have waited weeks with numerous dates being promised for trash can drop off which came and went. Their billing department too makes big mistakes chronically. It is the most mismanaged company I have ever done business with.

I wanted to recycle a 4 ft. fluorescent tube but the Corvallis and Albany locations both said I had to wait for their household hazardous waste event which is once a quarter. The universal hazardous waste regulations were established to make it easy for small businesses and homeowners to easily recycle these types of wastes. If a homeowner has to wait three months to recycle a tube they will instead throw it in the garbage can. Who wants to risk having the tube break and then having to clean up the mercury and broken glass? I will instead take the tube to the Metro site in Oregon City.

I have had nothing but problems with this company for over 9 years. Mostly problems with them skipping our house by mistake or billing problems. Lately it is much worse. I called Friday to pay my bill. I spent almost 10 minutes on hold before talking to someone and Lisa (receptionist?) answers. I tell her briefly that I need to make a payment but I noticed an account fee of $30 for what looked like a termination and was hoping they could remove that because my service was not and should not be interrupted. She said in a very rude tone of voice hold on while I look up your account then put me on hold....okay...I am thinking no prob EXCEPT I DIDNT GIVE HER ANY INFORMATION TO KNOW WHAT ACCOUNT TO LOOK UP!!!!!! So I sat on hold for not kidding 13 more minutes and decided to hang up. I called over and over until someone finally answered the phone. Got another gal that was super nice and helpful although couldnt figure out a simply billing amount of $81 minus 70$ and kept saying I still owed 135 after the 70$ payment....ummmm I think it should be more like $11 still owed! Well we got that all figured out, made my payment and was on my way...until Monday when I come home and no cans. So....back on the phone...on hold for 15 minutes this time. Got a nice gal to answer my questions and she said I will not be charged for the accidental removal of my cans today....we will see because this has happened before. On top of it all, they cant get my cans back for over a week so I miss a day of service that I am paying for. The company is lacking some major things.... Professional communication, kindness, organization and likely some management because I have asked for managers and they are never there or too busy. They want me to leave bags of garbage on the street on my next pick up day for my convenience....so will they come down and clean the mess up when critters get into it as that is exactly what happened before!...I would love to see the city get involved since this is the only garbage company in the area. A very frustrating company to work with...and especially with no other choice or service provider. I am willing to update this review if they make an effort to make things right but as it stands, I am a very unhappy customer.

Unreliable. Billing department is a joke. They wont actually call you back when they say they will. Been fighting over a billing dispute for weeks. If there were any other options I would use those!

Unfortunately this company has suffered as a result of poor promotional choices within the managements ranks. Initially we contacted this company to rent a dumpster for our remodel the girl we spoke to on the phone was named Christina, she is this companies ONLY saving grace. Professional in her attitude and very clear and with terms a delight in the day of someone dealing with contractors and the long list of vague responses they tend to give. A couple days after the dumpster was delivered we decided to get another earlier than anticipated working just down the street from Republic Services I thought I would just stop by and put in the order. I walked in the door to witness the management a child-like man names Kyle belittling the all female staff as if trying to explain 1 + 1 = 2 to a third grader. I was offended for them and so I asked him man to man Is that really how you talk to people or are you just incredibly rude to the people you work with? all though looking right at me, he then turned back to the girls and said Do you see this person talking to me, why are they talking to me at all, this is what you people are for, if I wanted to field customer conversations I would be sitting out here with all of you, so can someone besides me do there job around here, A delightful young lady popped up to help me seemingly the only one not in tears or close to it from the little napoleons tirade( turned out to be the same person that I had dealt with on the phone initially and as I was placing the additional order and gathering some information as I am currently handling a few sites besides my own for family and friends I had intended to place the order for eight additional dumpsters) I asked him directly( now being irritated with the prick )So if your not one of these you people then whats your issue cant find your keys to the truck or cant reach the gas pedal? I was then informed that not only is Republic Services NOT the only trash company in town but as the MANAGER having to deal with customers or people in general is beneath his position. That said I would rather spend the almost 600.00 dollars I could have saved on each month for the past almost three months and will continue to for the next hopefully five but more likely six months. To deal with a small trash hauling company and consider it money well spent to NOT use this company and the frankly incompetent manager but should you HAVE TO I would ask for Christina, I dont know what her last name was and if there is more than one working here then shes the younger one

Abysmal service. Almost a month to get cans delivered when we moved, all payments credited to incorrect account, cans were taken for nonpayment, its taken a week to get funds credited correctly. After numerous calls it will be ANOTHER three weeks to get the cans back that Ive been paying formal along! Ive gotten nothing but empty apologies. Horrible company, horrible customer service.
