THE MOST wonderful People!My second flight to westchester had been canceled the day before and I had been trapped in NC overnight. Albany was the only airport available that was within 2 hours of my end destination but I needed a rental car and there were none available. Finally I reserved one through Hertz but my flight was a little late getting in. The Hertz office was going to close in 10 minutes and I was 10 minutes away. I called the Hertz office and finally got someone on the line and begged him not to leave until I got there. The guy said he was leaving at 5 on the dot and would not wait. He had a life. I explained that was flying in to help my mother post surgery and begged him not to leave me stranded. Finally he said he would wait. When I pulled up at Hertz it was closed. He had completely lied to me. But then a Hertz employee came to the door. Wonderful, I said, thank you so much. No I can’t help you, he said, I’m not in uniform. But I spoke to someone on the phone, I said. Oh that was the other guy… he’s coming back, he’ll help you. You promise? I asked. He looked me straight in the eye and promised. No one ever came back. That guy deliberately lied to my face so he could leave and not help. I sat there for another 20 minutes without any clue as to what to do.Then a fellow traveler found out that Enterprise was open just around the corner. When I pulled up to enterprise they were leaving but without hesitation they opened the door for me with a smile and asked how they could help. The entire crew stayed open an extra hour on a Friday so that they could help us. There had been three travelers that Hertz had stranded. Enterprise helped all of us with a smile and the greatest kindness. They even found me a one-way car even though it was against policy. If ever there was a model for customer service of the highest caliber it would be these guys. The manager was Trevor and the assistant manager was Melissa. I have no way to repay them except with my utmost thanks.Trevor, Melissa and everyone there at Enterprise: thank you again! You guys are wonderful!

This place is absolutely fantastic, I cannot say enough about their amazing service!! The are the epitome of CUSTOMER SERVICE!I recently had a reservation rental with Hertz (next door) GOD AWFUL TERRIBLE EXPERINCE! Never picked up the phones, left multiple people sitting outside without vehicles and stranded on 9/24.Meanwhile, Enterprise Rent-A-Car helped all parties involved, as well as those sitting outside of the Hertz office! Working with this particular location was outstanding from start to end. Everyone we spoke with took great pride in making sure we were satisfied each step of the rental process from the time we picked up our car to the time we dropped it off. They were very attentive and sincerely cared about their customer service.

After pretty much being stranded by the Enterprise rep at the Albany-Rensselaer train station (train was late, rep left early even though wed called ahead to tell them our train was late, calls to the after-hours number -- before 5pm! -- were useless, etc.), the team at the Central Avenue location stepped up to bail my family and me out of our jam. They stayed past their closing time until we got there and made sure we had a car. I cant thank them enough for going above and beyond to take care of us. They represented Enterprise in the most professional manner and best possible way to salvage our customer service experience. Thank you!

Great customer service, unfortunately the vesicle they offered me initially smelled like marijuana. I figure they assess the cars before the next renter but they dropped the ball here. The cost of the rental was expensive, but expected given the pandemic.

For the past 2 years cant comprehend why enterprise doesnt accept social security award letter as SSDI recipient and UI with the rental agreement as lease and SPRINT as utility bill because utilities including in rent according rental lease agreement for the customers who never had credit cards or not able to have credit cards in the last 20 years in USA. I will take it as discriminatory actions. At least i am glad that they didnt point my race and religion as first cause of non-rental policy according branch manager who at least this time didnt requested to change unexpired driver license to current address. Its very unprofessional handling business and out of control in capital district of NYS i do believe.Have a great day too, darlings.😀😀😀😀😀

She was Professional in every way I came in she was polite she took care of me I was in an out those are the things I look for when I go to a business how fast they are how much do you intend to my needs and how good their customer services and for me she was excellent I do appreciate her and I think she’s doing a great job and she should continue to stay there and keep up the good work so this is why I give them five stars and a prize for the most part doesn’t disappoint me and that’s why I will continue to keep going back!

Much better at customer service at this location. Car was ready and waiting for me upon arrival. I know this may sound odd, but my last experience with Enterprise was at the Troy location where I had a reservation 3 weeks in advance and on upon arrival they did not have a car nor were they expecting any cars. It was a Friday thru Sunday rental and was told to come back on Monday Then they told me to calm down what was I upset with.?? Well maybe I was dropped off to get my reservation now you dont have a car I dont have a car what was the reason for a reservation call me a cab so I can rent a car somewhere else.. It was like a bad Seinfeld episode Oh no cabs in Troy they went out of business... Go to Central ave location they know how to treat customers and youll get a car.. Friendly helpful staff...

What a joke attempting to get a rental car.. needed 2 pieces of mail that had my name and address on it. Not just any mail but a utilities bill, car insurance, or cell phone

The gentleman who helped me at the 900 central Ave location in Albany were absolutely wonderful to work with. They came and picked me up at my job since my vehicle had been totaled by a deer that morning. Very professional and friendly service!

I have been a loyal Enterprise customer now for almost 20 years and they typically treat me pretty good. However, this particular location on Central Ave in Albany, NY doesnt communicate the best with customers. Im sure they do fine with every day transactions but failed when it came to a rental covered by a warranty company. At the end of the rental I was billed all of the taxes and fees above the rental rate. This was never explained to me when I picked up the car. They have dealt with the warranty company often and knew the max rate which would be covered. Knowing this they maxed out my daily limit leaving me with the excess taxes and fees. If I had known this, I would have asked them to find me a lower rate to ensure I wasnt coming out of pocket anymore than I already had for the extended warranty I purchased. Instead of correcting the manager was rood an insulting telling me to deal with it on my own with the business servicing my vehicle. In the future I recommend you fully explain coverage to customers.

The associates are AMAZINGLY accommodating. If/ when there is an issues, they are quick to rectify it. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

My experience with Enterprise car rental was horrendous. I needed to get to my ill 91 year old mother in Brooklyn. I reserved a full size car from the Troy branch. I called ahead and to verify the car was ready. They told me it was. When I got there, I was told the car wasn’t ready, and they tried to rent me a mid size cheap car that I couldn’t use because of my back. I went to the other office in Latham, and was given another vehicle that I had to return because it was inappropriate for me to drive to NYC. When I realized I had to return the car, the office was locked and I had to wait about 1/2 hour. They lied to me, and almost caused me to miss seeing my mother before she took a turn for the worst. I have NEVER experienced such incompetency, and it was at the worst time for such a thing to happen. DON’T RENT FROM ENTERPRISE!!! They will fail you!

The Albany location is by far the best! I travel 3 to 5 days a week for work and then at least one weekend a month for leisure and this Enterprise team is the best I have encountered to date. These guys are LIFE SAVERS! I went into Enterprise after getting screwed by Hertz and oh my god. Everything was SO much better at Enterprise! The customer service, price, and even the car! My truck broke down Friday night on I90 outside if Albany. Not far from Enterprise ...I was able to get there...but my transmission was toast. They were closing ..but Santino the representative....took me in an ..and said dont worry ..Im going to take care of you. I was distressed knowing the cost of the rental plus towing my truck back to Queens. He put me in a truck better then mine at very reasonable rate. Waived the one way fee. He even helped me unload and load my truck. I tried to tip him..he wouldnt have it. An outstanding young man ...I gave him a hug. I will be forever grateful. Enterprise is my go to from know on. Made me feel like family.

I recently rented from the Central Ave. office and was assured that I could return the vehicle after hours and drop key in box. What they dont tell you is you are liable for damage that may occur between drop off and their inspection. I took photos of the car when I left it without damage and their inspection found a dent. Im being billed. Do your drop off inspection!! Do not drop keys in box!!

I worked with Kristopher and I have to say he is amazing. I went to rent a car with the expectation of getting a VW Jetta, but instead I got a 2020 Nissan Altima. I loved it so much I extended my rental from a week to a month.

Enterprise on Central Ave in Albany, NY was very courteous. I had requested a pick up and my driver was there about 10 minutes early. She offered me Munchkins and took me through a quick processing back at Enterprise on the very car she picked me up in. When I brought the car back, I was offered a ride, which I declined, and everyone was very cordial and efficient!

The manager and staff at 900 Central Avenue, Albany were awesome! They were very professional and quick as I rented two vehicles in an expedited manner. I will use this branch often as they are even open on Sunday which saves non-profit organizations quite a bit of cash!

I came here to rent a car for some July 4 week adventures! The location is quite convenient as its on the main street, but its hidden away in the plaza. When I arrived on a Friday late afternoon, I had to wait a bit as there was only one person doing check-ins and there were many people there. I waited to get checked in, and then I waited to get my car. The cars gas was half-full, but otherwise the car was great! It served all my needs during the driving, and we covered many miles on it. I like that this spot has after-hours drop-off, making it convenient to rent from here because otherwise weekends would be really difficult to rent. I would recommend it, just pad some extra time for pickup! Customer service is polite and friendly too, as usual.

Santino Sierra found the minivan I desperately needed. I had a reservation at another company, but they ran out of cars due to the COVID-19 situation. None of the other rental companies in the Albany area had any cars, either. But when I talked with Santino on the phone, he promised me that he would find a car for me so that my family would not be stranded. He was very personable, and he put a lot of energy into helping me and several others who were also in a similar situation due to overbooking by other car companies. I really appreciated Santino’s extra effort and customer service!

I rented a vehicle 6 hours away in Erie, PA. I used that enterprise vehicle to drive one way to Albany to purchase a new vehicle. After a very stressful day dealing with a used car dealership and getting my new vehicle, I dropped my rental off at this location.The staff was friendly and helpful, very personable. There was a small mistake on my bill which was quickly and politely resolved.Then, in the bustle of changing vehicles, I forgot an important item, my annoyingly expensive parking pass for the employee lot back home. I was able to call and speak to a representative at this Albany Location.They quickly found the item and have returned it to me via Fedex with tracking.This type of customer service went above and beyond and will leave a lasting positive impression of both this location and the Enterprise brand as a whole.Great job to this location and their team!-dan

Great Experience with renting a car. The rep was awesome and made sure everything was all set and even remembered me when I returned the car and asked how my trip was. Now that to me is EXCELLENT customer service.

The customer service is amazing . But the hidden fees will leave you spending almost twice as much than what you initially estimated for . It seems like they never have any compact or economy cars even if you’ve chosen it online, but then they’ll give you a “free” upgrade but you see your receipt you actually paid for that upgrade. They have a great price on the car insurance but it comes with consequences. Better than Hertz by far but not worth the money for a in state rental .

Ive used Enterprise before and have been happy in the past. They have become my go to car rental place. Very sorry to see the Colonie NY store close as it is a very convenient location for me. I also imagine some people were put out of work. Tough times.The next closest Enterprise for me is in Albany. This was my experience.It really wasnt THAT bad hence the 3 stars... right down the middle... not too bad, not too great.Picking up the car was a little hectic. We couldnt find the store as it was hidden around the side of the building with no signage indicating where to go. We were starting to panic as it wasnt a great start to a long weekend with a tight agenda. When we did arrive, I went inside where 5 other people were waiting on the socially distance markers sparing one left for me to stand on. There was another guy that wanted to come in behind me and felt like he had to wait outside, as there were no markers left. So he stood uncomfortably in the doorway for a minute, then went outside.There was one employee up at the desk on the phone. My thought was... I am not getting out of here for at least a half hour. The guy got off the phone, then the phone rang again and he answered it. OMG.Then I looked out the door and there was another employee helping the guy that was waiting outside. So I decided to go out there and wait instead. Sure enough that employee came over to me, asked if I had a reservation and since I did. we were able to go right to the car and I was out of there in no time. Phew.Whats my point?I guess I wish that things were more organized at the store front so everyone is not wondering where to go and what to do. Im just glad I decided to go back outside to see if I could get help out there. Otherwise, I think I may have been there much longer.The car was in good working order as usual. It was mostly clean but you could tell it was rushed. Maybe we picked it up at a busy time of day and they were trying to get a lot of cars out at once. The two main things that bothered us was The rather large chicken bone under the passenger seat and the inside of the windshield had stuff on it. I was trying to clean the window with the wipers while driving and ended up wiping the covid smudge off with my thumb when I checked to see if the smudge was on the inside. So now Im driving with this unknown substance on my thumb until I can stop somewhere and wash it. I probably wouldnt have minded if we werent in the middle of a viral pandemic. I just have to wonder what that smudge was however. Did the previous driver sneeze or something? And the whole window was dirty. Not just the one large smudge so I have to believe washing the inside of the glass was skipped all together.Everything else was fine. I really like the new tank filling policy. (if it is a new policy that will stick). Ive been burned a few times picking up a car with a full tank of gas. I went to a gas station once immediately after picking up a rental just to see how full it was. As we all know. You can squeeze in several gallons of gas after the full mark. Sure enough, I was able to get several gallons of gas in that car right after I picked it up. Around here where I live, thats about 10 bucks. I know I can do the same thing but all that does is burn the next person to rent the car. The half tank rule will help keep us all honest.After returning the car, I periodically checked my credit card transactions online to make sure my deposit was returned and that the final charge was correct. It turns out that I was charged one hundred dollars less as they had me down for returning the car at 10am instead of 10pm. I will be calling Enterprise tomorrow to straiten that out.Bottom line. I will rent from Enterprise again.

Matthew Snyder was by far the best ever. In fact the entire staff was awesome. My trip started with a phone call from this location. Asking if I still was reserving the car I wanted. I quickly responded yes. Renting from this location was $200 cheaper and only 2 miles away from the airport ish when I got there, after a pretty bad cab ride to the wrong location, the one at 900 central ave in Albany actually picked me up. I was in and out in a very quick fashion. The car was the cleanest rental car ever and upon return Matthew Snyder was over the top. He was quick to help me get a ride back to the airport. He was super friendly and just an all around good person. I cant wait to swing in again. Thank you guys for everything!

This location specifically (not any other enterprise) has such an amazing staff of people who are REALLY CONCERNED ABOUT YOU AND YOUR NEEDS! Very accommodating and understanding. I went into this enterprise branch this passed weekend with a reservation from online and it was quick,simple, easy and to the point. They knew i didnt want to spend a arm and a leg for a simple car to use over the weekend. So they made sure i had the best deal. No wait! No hassle! I was literally in and out. The reason why i couldnt give 5 stars is because returning the car around the same time as others made the parking lot packed and difficult to figure out where to park for drop off being that they do share the parking lot with another business. Return time should consist of 3 or 4 people returning in one time slot or something of that nature. Not have everybody returning at 12 and one man outside and no direction as to where to go. It put a damper on me returning it because i thought the return will be even more swift as the pick up was but i guess nothing is perfect 😕

Staff was helpful. Cargo van was low mileage and clean. Equipment worked well and rental return was available even when closed. They met all my needs.

This specific enterprise location is always my go to when renting a car, I have had nothing but good experiences here thus far. However, today the level of customer service I was given was beyond exceptional. I had expressed to Sergio Leon that I needed to be to work by a specific time and when there where no drivers he got into a car and picked me up then when I realized I had forgotten my license took me to get it, he also worked with my insurance to get me the best comparable car to what I usually drive without me having to come out of picked at all! He was so patient and really payed attention to my needs as a customer and exceeded my expectations for customer service! Because of this experience I will continue to exclusively use this enterprise location and recommend it to anyone I know. Thank you!

My opinion of this location has not changed. It doesnt matter whos working the results are always the same, they always exceeds my expectations! The staff are always attentive to my needs and always make sure that I am out the door quickly in a car that fits a person over 64. I dont go to any other locations because I have never been disappointed by Trevor and his staff! Their professionalism is unmatched!

I needed a rental car for two weeks following an accident I was in. Enterprise had fast and efficient service. Every employee I worked with there was friendly, professional and accommodating. When I mentioned that I was considering buying one of the types of cars they rented out, they switched me out into the model I was looking at so I could test drive it. All of my questions were answered and they took the time to help me through the process. The cars themselves were clean and appeared well-maintained for a reasonable price. I would rent from them again.

Well as someone who just moved back to the capital region from Europe, it is so inconvenient without a car to get around and making errands down. So within in the one month of September, I have already rented from at least three different companies. As a Emerald Club member, I am grateful that the mother company Enterprise acknowledged my membership and gives me the rental credits.This is not the reason that I like my enterprise experience so much. What impressed me the most is the services at Enterprise and the unbeatable price that I could rent for a weekend. I was picked up by Sean and dropped off by Deres (if I remember his name correct) with such courteous manner. Both of them gave me very good information of the local areas and suggestions for things to do. The checking out and returning processes were so smooth.I would not hesitate to rent from Enterprise at 900 Central Ave again whenever I am in need of a rental and hope to see Sean and Deres again.

Trevor is awesome, gave me a great deal. The entire staff works very efficiently. The car was clean. I definitely will be back for future rentals.

Everyone was so pleasant, polite, and super accommodating. Their office is so tiny though! It could barely accommodate all the traffic and the sales people seemed a bit cramped. Please get them a nice big office, they work so hard and it really shows so they deserve it!

Theyre nice people, but Enterprise never has the car I reserve available. I rent regularly for my job, and when I reserve a full size sedan Im usually offered a mini SUV (which my long legs wont fit in) or a land yacht (which is tough to park in most cities). I dont understand the point of reserving a certain vehicle class if youre going to provide whatever random thing is on the lot.

Ive rented mainly from the Enterprise Car Rental located at 900 Central Avenue in Albany, NY. The staff are very professional and theyve gone beyond the call of duty to ensure that I have a safe and cost-efficient car to ride. Ive had a couple of times where the vehicles had a safety issue -- a nail in a tire or a car with problems in the snow, and staff have been more than wonderful to accommodate and meet all of my needs. I would recommend this location and service to other and future customers. A more than wonderful experience.

I was in an accident on a Saturday night. I called Enterprise on Sunday morning. Shelby walked me through the steps of a rental. Once I got to Enterprise, Shelby and John were very helpful getting me into a clean, cute Ford Focus. I had my vehicle repaired at Colby Body and Fender. Shelby made arrangements so I could drop my rental off at the shop instead of going back to the Enterprise location. This was a tremendous time saver! ! Thank you Shelby and John for making this rental stress-free!

Problems since day one. They take your deposit and promise you’re going to get it back...days after you don’t get anything back. They keep it and use it on your bill. 9/10 they don’t have any cars available but yet the lot is FULL of vehicles. I will NEVER rent from Enterprise again. I will stay loyal to Hertz and National.

Middle of the ground review because of both positive and negative feedback.My positive is that I had a great experience with the staff member who helped me. He was super cheerful, accommodated a last minute need for a larger car (more money for them but still, super nice), and seemed to thoroughly enjoy his job.My negative is the return of the car and associated billing. I rented on a Wednesday, returned the car the next day (Thursday) after hours. I didnt get a call to close out my rental until the following Wednesday, and then was billed. Since I rented for my company this delays my ability to do an expense report, and just seems like a longer period of time than it should be in 2016. Additionally, my credit card didnt clear the charges ($425.00 fee for incidentals) until two days later than the billing. Speeding this up would surely make the experience closer to 5 stars for me.

It was great. What i have to say maybe directed to corporate. Ive been renting from Enterprise for just under 10yrs, never had an incident with any vehicles Ive rented and i feel if my account covers it i should there should be no limitations on what type of vehicle i want to rent because due to my history my credibility should not be in question. The Staff were pleasant, the particular employee I dealt with charged me the wrong deposit then what we agreed on, I was told if I wanted the rate that they advertised online I would need a $250 deposit, being this was not something I expected to have to do (car was hit and totaled while parked this morning in front of my home), I did not have enough to cover that, so she stated by going through with the Insurance rate it would be a $50 deposit, and I said ok yes that I can do, place closed at 1pm, got a overdraft alert on my phone and seen I was charged the $250 deposit anyway, Completely NOT what I authorized! called and its being expedited, will keep this review updated on the outcome once Im able to contact tomorrow morning, or when they contact me, For now very disappointed
