Installers did a great job. However one of the 4 widows glass is cracked. Not installers fault. Have not heard anything from Comfort on when they plan to fix it. Great products. Just slow on communication and updating customer on whats going on.

Fraudulent WarrantyIn 2004 I chose Comfort to replace all of my windows and doors over a period of several years. They were a young company, and I was impressed with the “Advantage Gold Lifetime Window Warranty”. The salesman explained that among other things it would cover the glass for as long as I am in my home.Recently the glass in my patio door has started to break down. The service tech who came last year stated he had “never seen anything like it.” The glass is developing patchy cloudy spots as well as white opaque dots, unlike the appearance of glass when the seal fails. I have had an ongoing conversation with the service department for a year now to get this problem addressed. Today I received the defining response. The company no longer deals with the vendor from whom they purchased the door, so I am essentially out of luck. My purchase contract states the door is in fact a custom order of a Comfort Patio Door with no mention of a third party vendor, or warranty exclusions. Their sales brochure (at the time) does not make any representation that anything they sell is not manufactured by anyone other than themselves. So to anyone who purchased Comfort products in their early days, beware: Your warranty may not be worth the paper it is written on. And of course I will pursue this through all avenues available.Note to Comfort: if and when you delete this review, it will only appear on multiple other sites.

If you are looking for service after you buy this is not the company. Will their service manager does not respond to calls promptly or at all!!

WE had a very good experience with Comfort from the salesman (Robert) to the installation team lead by (Dakota) and the screen repairer (Amanda). Robert did a GREAT job matching the interior and exterior of the windows with our current decor and we couldnt be more happy with that. Dakota and his team did a nice neat job with the installation and Amanda did a a great job with screen repair and with the kitchen window which had a little glitch. We are very pleased and would highly recommend Comfort Windows!

We purchased a custom sliding door which was installed in may of 2020. From the first day, we had four separate issues with over 10 service calls through December… door stuck, lock didn’t function, internal blinds don’t raise and lower properly, molding popped off…. They finally agreed to replace the door in December. Door arrived in may. Needless to say, they ordered the wrong door. We are still waiting for the replacement door to be installed. When we call, we are told they will get back to us with a status and then dont call us back. So, it’s been a over a full year since we fully paid for this door and are still waiting for a replacement.

Comfort Windows crew ( Frank and his crew) did excellent work. We had windows installed throughout the house so it took 3 days to complete. They were quick, efficient, on time, and cleaned all mess afterwards. Windows look great and they did a very good job, happy customers! Highly recommend.

Well, We are just over halfway there on our major exterior renovation with Comfort. Roof install...excellent! Window install...excellent! The team just left and I couldnt be happier with the job they did replacing all of the windows in my house! the efficiency and professionalism of the team was a joy to watch. Our recent home improvement done by Comfort Window and Doors was a positive experience.Since we had previously contracted with Comfort, in the past,we decided to select them to do our new bathroom addition.The job was completed on time and to our satisfaction. The 2 fellows assigned to our project, Rodney and Eddie were courteous at all times and answered any and all of our questions.During the week that they were at our home,their arrival on time, and clean up routine at the end of the day became a daily routine. Im only giving three stars based on salesman, and time it took to get windows.We had basement windows installed. The windows look good, seem to be keeping out the cold. Havent tried opening them, taking the installers word they all work. We were told 8 to 10 weeks after the measurements, turned out to be 14 weeks. The installers were courteous and cleaned up well after themselves. The salesman was a total mess. What should have taken less then an hour, took almost two to order the windows. He had no clue how to use his laptop. For him he should be able to just use old fashioned paper work and have someone at the office enter the information into the computer later. Or, train him how to use it.

Workers showed up on-time (even a little earlier). Used drop clothes and respected cleanliness of the house. Cleaned up everything. Installation went very quickly. One discrepancy about replacing a rotted sill that I pointed out. Paperwork that I had was different from worker instructions (i.e. replace 2 rotten sills not 3) but worker remedied, I think they completed what my paper worked indicated but I could not totally verify because it was covered up.

Comfort windows remodeled our bathroom from start to finish in 6 days! Rodney and his team did everything we asked plus more. I would highly recommend them and will rehire them for additional work in my own home. Well worth the money we paid and I am so in love with our bathroom!

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. They took forever to complete the project. They installed the wrong color windows. Their team of “professionals “ perform shoddy work, lie and are unwilling to offer any sort of customer service. They installed a broken door and window in my house that I was unable to lock. Then I had to fight and beg them to fix it. In the process of all of this they damaged my property and they refuse to accept any responsibility for any of their actions. Beware when using this company.

Dealing with this company has been beyond a nightmare. The windows and door installation was complete however almost every door has an issue, half the windows have scratches or dings in them, they destroyed walls in our house and they left nails and broken glass in our yard. They have shown minimal concern in addressing any of these issues in the two weeks since the installation has been completed. I have now contacted corporate and still feel like I’m getting nowhere. To say I am disappointed in this organization would be an understatement.***Update - our installation started in August 2020 and it’s now February 2021 and still not down. Every time they show up they break something else or don’t have all the parts. This entire nightmare is a joke. Not to mention the quality of work is laughable. So even when we do finish everything we have to go around and repair. Would not recommend them to my worst enemy***

Right from the beginning, when Todd came to give me an estimate I knew I had made the right decision. Then Jason and his team came to install 12 windows plus my picture window. They arrived both days on time and went to work right away. Before I knew it they had all the windows in and sealed on the first day with the outside trim done on the following day. His team was courteous, friendly, and cleanly. They even went the extra mile to remove and re-install the large sun shade on my picture window. When they were completed, Jason took me on a tour inside and out to review the work that was done as well as explaining all the features of the windows. The window quality is excellent. The temperature from room to room is consistent without cold spots. I rate them a 5+ on all aspects of their work. Im sure I will get similar service when I have my doors replaced later this year. The service people were excellent. They showed up on time and worked until the job was done. We love the door and they cleaned up after themselves.The company would have gotten 5 stars however they did not respond to 2 calls I made to them a week before installation. I thought that was very poor customer service and I would have canceled the installation if I could have. Will probably not use them again because of that.

The product is high quality and I couldnt be more pleased with the latest installation and wrapping of windows. Our third project with Comfort Windows and Doors is having the porch and deck stairs rebuilt and vinyl railings installed. I am confident that this next job will also be done right. My old house looks amazing!!February 2021: Our 5th Comfort Windows project has been completed and I couldnt be more pleased. The new window is perfectly matched to an existing, adjacent older window both on the inside and on the outside. As always, the team was efficient and neat, with careful attention to detail. Excellent work!!

The staff at comfort windows from the office to the installers were excellent. I had window blinds and shades done inside my house, and had shutters replaced all to my satisfaction. I would like to add I recently had a blind break under warranty. Comfort waived the labor fee which is not covered by the manufacturer. I highly recommend comfort windows for inside and outside of your home.

Update: Weve had the windows for 5 months now and they are fantastic. We just had temperatures near zero and you would never know standing next to these windows. Not a hint of cold air coming through.While Comfort Windows and Doors was not the cheapest of the three estimates we received, we thought the quality was the best and we liked the idea that they dont use sub contractors. As expected, it took a full 8 weeks after final measurement for the windows to be delivered, but they were able to schedule the install right away. The installation crew was excellent, quality work and they did a good job cleaning up after themselves. The new windows look great, were very happy with our purchase and the whole experience.

WARNING- do not use this company. These people will charge 3-4 times the amount that others charge. They are outrageous with their prices. Do not use them. Go with a real company who will not overcharge 3-4 times the actual cost. Get other quotes and don’t be fooled by their percent off game. !!!

The people who came to work on my windows were fast, did a great job, and respective of my space. They finished all 19 windows I was having done in three days! I loved that they created the windows specifically to fit my house. I would definitely recommend them!

Rodney and his crew were so friendly and did an excellent job replacing our shower. It’s only been a few weeks, but so far we are enjoying the spacious new shower enclosure very much.

The finished product with our deck from this company came out great and the craftsmanship is top notch.However, once we signed the contract we never heard from the salesman again - not to check on the project or see if we were happy with the outcome.If we wanted status updates on the project we had to call the project manager as no one would reach out to us. We were quoted a ten day project which turned into almost four weeks.Once completed there was no one reaching out to us for a final walk through / review of the project which I found highly unusual especially for a $18,000 job.

This is the second time we used comfort Windows. The first purchase was 2 sets of sliding glass doors to our deck. They did a fabulous job. They removed rotting wood which was causing leakage to the bottom condo unit.This time they replaced 2 bedroom windows. Again a professional job. I live in a condo so it all has to be up to specifications set by the board and this company knows that and does everything required to meet those specs such as specific color wrap. The lifetime warranty is great and they honor that. They secured one of the wraps on the deck door (a minor fix) after they finished the windows. Because of this I will hire them again.

Our salesman Austin made sure we understood all the options and aspects of the project. Comfort Window staff regularly kept us informed of the schedule. Ryan and his install crew were absolute professionals. They answered our construction questions, kept the site clean and when they completed the job, the results were top notch. The windows look and perform as good as it gets. It was the third time weve used Comfort Window. In all it has been a very positive experience.

Bathtub/shower replaced and bathroom updated. Even with one misunderstanding about our original order, it was solved quickly and easily.

We recently had our windows and siding done by Comfort Windows. The crews they sent to our home were both respectful and friendly. They did a great job keeping the inside of the house clean while swapping in new windows. Overall, were very pleased with the workers, the products, and the final outcome. Highly recommended. Our project involved replacing an old tub and fixtures with a walk-in shower with a sliding glass door. Install team was professional, skilled and polite. Great care was taken to protect our house during the work and the clean-up was thorough. Our finished shower looks terrific. The only glitch was a mix-up in the permit process. Comfort went well beyond what was necessary to take care of the problem. Very impressed with this company’s integrity and customer service. We’d use Comfort again without hesitation.

Our installation guys, David Taylor, Julio Martinez and Richard Leach were very good. They installed windows and cleaned up their mess as they went along. They were respectful of us and our home. Everyone at Comfort Windows has been professional and courteous and there was no big push to buy from salesman and that is why you got our business. So far we are very happy with our windows.

This company lied from the start. They tell you on commercials and when there sales guy came to my house that there window is made here in NY by them, which is 10% true. They fail to mention its only the $1000 dollar triple pane thats made here in NY and all the rest of there windows are manufactured by other window manufacturers, they conveniently leave this huge detail out! On top of that Im not very happy with the install or there window thats not made by them! SMH if I could give them minus 5 stars I would!

Comfort Windows and Doors installed storm windows on my back porch - 9 windows in total. It has been an interesting, roller coaster ride of an experience. The crew who installed them finished in a couple of hours. They were loud and disrespected my home by leaving the front door wide open after I already told them I had pets and didnt want them getting into the road. When I went out back to look at the completed project - I was appalled by the fact that they had used 2 different colors of caulk, 2 windows done in one color and the rest in another color. I asked that they fix it, and the crew foreman was rather perturbed that I made them get their equipment back off the trucks to make sure the caulk around all of the windows matched. He also told me that I was a difficult customer. I noticed after they left - and I was able to get myself to the height of the windows to get a good look - that they took no time or care in applying the caulk and that it was all lumpy and bumpy - no consistency whatsoever. I sent an email with photos and had to wait almost 3 days for a manager to call me regarding my unhappiness with the job.The ONLY saving grace was Josh - a supervisor who normally works with the siding crew. He was sent out to look at what could be done to rectify the situation. He was very creative in his problem solving and came up with a solution to cover the mess the previous team made - that looks beautiful, and is functional.At no point was I offered any sort of refund - in fact - they hounded me daily via phone and email for payment.I would recommend Josh to complete any job with the best quality workmanship - however I will never recommend Comfort for any job in the future. Its a shame too because I have 10 windows on the front porch that I need done next spring. Their loss. They can also say anything they want about appreciating feedback, etc - in response to the unhappy reviews - but they had plenty of time to make this right and based on previous reviews - the issues with communication and attention to detail are not being addressed or rectified.

Ive used Comfort to side my house, side my barn, replace all my windows and doors, and build a composite deck. On my old house Comfort replaced all of my windows. Ive recommended 4 friends to use comfort and all have at least had Comfort replace their windows, and in some cases they had siding done too. All have thanked me for directing them to Comfort. I could not be more pleased with the excellent work that Comfort Windows did for us! We had a sliding glass door installed, which had a competitive price and the guarantee totally sold me! All of the employees were professional and courteous. They installed the door on the coldest day of the year and 3.5 hours later it was done! We are thrilled with how smoothly the door glides, it looks beautiful, and lets in so much light! The best part was my husband came home, and it was all done, down to the trim around the door! I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Over the past 20 some years Ive had every window in my home replaced by Comfort Windows, except for my sliding glass door. I hope to have that door replaced next year. They have also replaced both of my entry doors.Their work has been excellent. The windows and doors are quality, very well insulated upon installation.My best experience and primary willingness to complete this review was when my large picture window developed a leak in the seal. The window was installed over 20 years previous and Comfort Windows was right there to replace the window with no hassle whatsoever, and at no cost. I have also had minor problems with window latches ( a type no longer used by Comfort Windows) and again the problem was remedied with a short service call.I have an older home and have used a variety of Businesses/contractors over the years. Most I would give a B+, (though have a couple D- & one F). Comfort Windows and Talham concrete are the only 2 I would give unreservedly A+ to.There probably are companies that are less expensive and then there are those that cost more. For my money, Comfort Windows is the best value for quality work at a fair price.

The window installation went well. Two issues I had was one of the installers was standing on my A/C compressor. (Not a professional move on there part also pretty disrespectful to me). The other was the screens that I paid extra for don’t fit that well. I actually pulled them out and recut them. (Again something I didn’t think I’d have to do when paying over $4,000 for 5 windows).Over all the windows look good and are way better than I expected. The head installer was an extremely nice man and answered all the questions I had. I am happy with the finished product just some simple improvements on small details that I mentioned would have put comfort windows over the top for me.

A wonderful experience!!! From the salesman to the installers, everyone was great!!! My windows are beautiful and so impressed at the wonderful job they did. NO mess left, they worked diligently and professionally. We need more work done on our house and will DEFINITELY be returning to Comfort Windows. Couldnt ask for a more wonderful team of employees (which also includes finance and the business office).

I recently had new windows, new hoppers (basement windows) and a new sliding glass door all installed and purchased from Comfort Windows. In every respect the entire project was done professionally and expertly. I have absolutely no complaints. The men who installed the windows came on time and worked quickly. I was amazed at how fast they had everything up and moving. The entire company has been a pleasure to work with. No surprises. A very good place to get new windows.

Although our salesman John said some culturally insensitive things and lied about the work that would be completed we were very happy with our installers and the finished work. The communication from Josh, the install manager was excellent and we worked out the issues with the false information by John in sales. Steve, our lead installer, and his crew were excellent.

Dealing with comfort windows was a pleasure from beginning to end. I had six sliding doors installed. The doors were of excellent quality. The installers were courteous and professional. The job was completed in a timely fashion.

We do love our new windows and they make a big difference in the temperature of our home. The thing I don’t like is that in less than two weeks there was a rip in the screen of my new slider window and they are not easy to close and lock. Also the price I was quoted for my monthly payment was actually $100.00 more a month than I was told. Maybe that was in the fine print that I didn’t read.

My husband and I wish to thank Steve and Ron for a beautiful job on installation of Boral/Versetta stone on the front of our house. Both men were courteous, friendly and showed us step by step on what they were doing. They answered all our questions and cleaned up the job site each day before leaving for the day. Very happy with the finished instillation of our new windows. Everyone was great to deal with. The sub zero temps outside now are brutal, I do notice a significant difference in the inside temp of the house. No more drafts and the furnace does not have to work as hard to keep the house comfortable. We had a 23 window project done last fall and I am defiantly calling them for siding in the near future. The quality of the product, warrantee and price were my deciding factors.

I had 10 windows installed was told that it would take a day an a half. Well needless to say all the windows were installed in about a day if that. They did a great job windows look great!! The workers were great to very polite an respectable even made great conversation with them. They cleaned up everything to the point of even sweeping my roof of debris with a broom. Would definitely have them back to do more work when needed.

3 years ago, I contracted Comfort to replace windows, doors and siding in my home. This company is great. I had some issues and they always came back to take care of whatever needed to be done and very quickly. I highly recommend this company if you need home improvements

I had my estimate done in November for 3 windows. Mike, who did the estimate was very thorough and professional. However, I had to reach out to office staff over 3 times to get a date scheduled for installation. My windows were supposed to be installed end of December and they ended up not being installed until the end of January. The office kept ensuring that they would call me when the windows were in, except I had been told it would only take a few weeks from when the estimate was done in September. David and his crew who did the install were friendly and efficient. So, the estimate was great, the install was great, dealing with the office was extremely frustrating and almost made me have to go elsewhere.

I was the one who wanted the walk in shower with mobility issues yet my husband was the go to person for where things should be located and also introduced themselves to but I was the one offering a cup of coffee to break the ice. Quality of work and clean up was good though.Uncomfortable and should advertise MAY be done in one day!

Salesman was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our custom made windows arrived much sooner than expected, and the courteous installers did a very nice job. Our new windows look great and we are very happy with them.

I had a bay window installed on Monday November 12th. The crew was right on time.They were very carefull while removing the old window and installing the new one. It was a very good and professional job, both inside and outside.Everything was cleaned up even as the work was being done.I am very happy with the quality of the window and the professional installation. I would recommend Comfort Windows, and plan on having them back for future projects.

Good company

Everything went better than expected. Thought it was going to take 2 days, but all done in 1 day.I only have one issue ant not sure finite was even discussed or possibly mentioned. Regarding the inside door frame, I think it would have been better with crown molding rather than the plain square frame. As I said, do not know if this was an option, nor did I think of it until a short while afterwards.

They did a great job on the replacement of downstairs windows and a sliding glass door. The only thing that didnt work out was that the wrong size screen door was shipped with the sliding glass door. Its been almost a month and a half now and still havent been called about the screen replacement, so I will have to call about that.The sales team was prompt, thorough, and patient with questions. The installation team was quick, courteous, and did an excellent job cleaning up.

Comfort Windows was awesome to work with. They kept me updated at every step of my order. The installers were fantastic, even vacuumed my rooms when they were finished. I was a little concerned about my new carpet since it was a rainy, muddy day. One guy worked inside while the other stayed outside and at no time did they track mud inside. The Windows are fantastic. I love them! Next will be my French doors.

Window is beautiful. But not happy with the mess I had to cleanup after install: dust all over from drywall sawing, numerous loose nails on decking and in flowerbed. Was told by salesman I would not get new molding but had to prime, putty and paint---something I specifically discussed with the salesman. Also, my screen was not available at installation, it was damaged and needed to be installed late the next day. Had to follow-up on screen issue myself, the installers did not notify the office. I like the product and guarantee but would question carefully again if I were to get more work done by Comfort Windows.

I am SO happy with our windows! I was blown away with our sales rep Bill. He was not only knowledgeable, but he was kind and incredibly helpful. Our install crew was great! Going with Comfort Windows was definitely the best decision we have made in a long time. My husband and I spent a lot of time researching different companies. Comfort Windows had great reviews and A+ on the BBB. We had a total of 13 windows replaced, all 1955 awning windows. We upgraded with the HeatGuard windows and got sliders rather than double hungs, and it was such a great choice! They worked with us on the price, so much that we were able to cut our windows to be 80 by 45 instead of 80 by 20 without breaking the bank. We still have about 6 windows left and we will be going with Comfort when we get our remaining windows redone. I went with Comfort because I use to manage a business where their installers would visit on a daily basis and they were very professional and it was the same guys day after day. With that said, they were the best part of the experience and the only reason this company received 3 stars. I cannot say enough about the installing crews, cordial, punctual, professional and helpful in every step of the installation process. The quality of the product so far has met my expectations as well.The whole process of getting to the installation was far less enjoyable and sometimes so frustrating that I almost walked away a few times. From the moment the sales person misquoted installation costs and time frames ( he wrote down on the contract a different time frame then he voiced to me) to the 2 month delay on the windows arriving (ordered in August and partially installed the week after Thanksgiving to the job actually being finished in January) to them having to measure the windows three times (once with the salesman, then final measurement when the two guys argued on how to measure the windows to the third time when a different person came out to measure.)In the end and after all of the frustrations I will say that I am so far satisfied with the product, and again, the installers are top notch. So I would recommend if you have the time and patience. Hopefully they have fixed the other issues so the crews are getting steady work.

I am giving 1 star because 0 is not an option. I spoke to Mike Rizzo and signed a contract with a guarantee that my sliding door would get installed on May 28. Since i didn’t hear from anyone i called on Monday the week before to check on status and Amanda the schedule person told me she will find out and let me know but no call back. I called agin on Wednesday and left a voice mail that ended with “Please call me back”, but again no call back. On Thursday and Friday same thing even texted the sales person Mike and called but no response. Tuesday May 28 day of my installation i called to find out when were they coming and unfortunately Ernie the sales manager told me that my door was broke on delivery day ( Thursday)1 week ago. Communication in this company sucks and I would not recommend it to anyone. Call Pella doors or Andersen. In stead of comfort windows should be unreliable windows and doors. Thank you

Awful....never hire this company again. I started meeting with in May 2016. Its Feb 2017 and things are still not done. They messed up my order. Never ordered exterior door (still waiting for it). I had to send text they sent with pricing that included 2 entry doors. They have to redo framing for entrance door b/c they messed it up and cant install exterior door on existing framing. Bay window has chips & scuffs on it, exposed nail heads still. Installed my exterior light upside down. Siding was unfinished on all corners and bottoms. You could see insulation board underneath in spots. Bottom edge was crooked. The left a mess of nails & trimming everywhere. Had to pay for a nail in my tire that caused a flat. Window trim was uneven and mitered corners were crooked. I had to call Syracuse crew to come and fix it. People never call back. I was promised a painted purple door, which is why I choose to go with them. The day I was giving my 7K deposit salesman told me I couldnt get it done, it was too expensive, and Id have to pay myself or paint it myself. I still 18K check for rest of the payment, it expires March 26 and its feb 13. Never go with this company.....or if you do record EVERYTHING they tell you to suck you into going with them b/c they will mess up and then try to tell you you never discussed that. Salesman showed me picture and promised me a ridge vent install....he said we dont do that....and there is no picture of that in catalog well there is and I found it in catalog. How many female customers even know what a ridge vent IS unless it was discussed in meetings, right? Terrible terrible experience....I emailed guy asking when rest of the work would be done and no response back in email yet!!!!!!! So I wouldnt recommend this company to ANYBODY. So sorry I chose them

Our bathroom was done in 8 working days. Were very pleased w the workmanship and quality. A small antique picture was broken in the process, but I sent a photo of it and requested reimbursement. I recvd the amt requested in appx 2 wks.

My Comfort Windows are great! The installer were very professional and cleaned up after the install. I would recommend them to anyone.

My initial reason for doing business with Comfort was because they are local and the windows are manufactured in NY and I will say the windows seem to be of good quality and I very much appreciate both installation crews helping me move my very large window air conditioner 2 different times, during the installation process, but what I had to go through to actually getting the windows installed and the windows being wrapped properly leaves a lot to be desired.For starters I ordered 7 double hung windows to be installed as well as a large Top Round window which was measured not once but twice by Comfort.But on installation day #1 after all the double hung windows were installed, and wrapped it was discovered that the Top Round window was measured too big and would not fit without having to chisel out the wood en arch around the window so it was decided and agreed upon that a second slightly smaller Top Round window had to be ordered and would delay the completion of the project 4-6 weeks to which I agreed to.Then when the replacement for the replacement window came in it turns out Comfort forgot to order the window trim for the replacement Top Round window as well as to notify me of the glitch, this after I had taken the day off from work for the installation and which also would further delay completion of the project another few weeks.The Production Manager then stopped at my home to appologize as well as offer me a reduction in the amount of my final balance so while he was there, I showed him the shoddy workmanship of the initial window wrapping of the installed double hung windows and he agreed it was unacceptable and would be addressed. A few weeks later,Ryan and his team came in for the final installation of the Top Round window and to redo the initial window wrapping of the double hung windows performed by first crew. After removing the vinyl siding around the windows, it was discovered that while there was insulation installed, there were no wooden stoppers installed around the windows! Ryan & co then installed stoppers around the double hung windows as well as insulated and wrapped the windows properly and the Top Round was finally installed .However,I was not given a final invoice/balance owed because Ryan was not given one, so sure enough, less than 24 hours after the project was finally completed, dont I receive a phone call form Sharon at Comfort asking me why I only gave them $$ amount when by their figures show I owed $$$ amount. So I had to explain the entire mess to her as well as the reduction in price as a result because apparently not only do they NOT communicate with their customers, apparently they dont communicate with each other!! I finally got the discrepancy straightened out and when all was said and done what should have taken 2 days took over 4 months!Ill let you decide whether or not to do business with this company. If you do decide to, I would recommend you ask for Ryan and his crew to do the work.

We were ultimately happy with the end result, but the delays and poor communication from the firm in the process were very frustrating.

I would not recommend them to any one. Thier salesman Bill failed to do the paper work correctly which created them doing it over 3 times. Once for wrong siding ordered even though it was in there catalog. 2nd time was for Windows because of a miss count. 3nd was the sales manager had to come and correct the paperwork.When the work was to start the window crw showed up and the siding crew also. The siding crew sat around for 3 hrs doing nothing until the window crew could put them in. The siding crew could have finished striping the house but the just sat around. Until the product came. I rate the window crew a 10. The siding production manager and his crew a 3 because the manage did not order enough siding. The crew leader spent more time on the phone than working. The clean up after the job was terrible. I have found at least 100 nails that they used for trim work around my pool pump area and even more along the front of the house. They installed the hose bids siding in so I could not put a hose on them. They did come back and fixed it but not until complaining.If you want windows they are good but not at any thing else.

The Good, the Bad and the UglyWe ordered 18 new windows, 5 new entry doors and a new sliding door from the Albany office in 4th Q 2016. We had a mixed experience that I have put down under the headings the good, the bad and the ugly.The GoodThe installation team is first rate. We had some challenges with our installation, and the installation team really came through. Almost one year later their installation job has held up with no issues. This team does many installations and knows their stuff. The head of their operations has decades of experience and is committed to a great customer deliverable. He goes above and beyond.The quality of the sliding door is outstanding. We got the Quad glass heavy duty sliding door. It was expensive--$3,300--but it is very well insulated, and will spider web if struck, rather than shatter. The five exterior doors are all Provia 18 guage steel fire doors with solid steel frames. I had them use extra long screws to make the frame and hinges even more secure. I am very happy with the doors. The windows are the baseline vinyl dual glass windows. They are good quality so far. A big difference is the noise insulation, it is much quieter now after the installation of these windows.The financing cannot be beat, 0% interest over five years. This is one of the main deciders for me. Cant beat it.The BadOur order was made in early August, and installation did not occur until November. So it took too long. And then it turned out the wrong door frames arrived! But they pulled out the doors already! To their credit the team jury rigged my old doors plus one of the new doors so at least I had doors. The sliding door and windows were also late, but their installation went in fine.The order process had a great many problems. There was no real checklist, just a lot of handwritten notes by the sales guy. They came over three times to keep re-measuring--I think they had some issues communicating with the factory. Their order documentation and intake really needs a computer system that is easy to read and understand. We had to re-do the handwritten order a couple times over a couple weeks. And the orders were very late, as I mentioned already. The door problems were linked to the poor order intake process. The installation manager took the lead after the door screw up, to personally take measurements and ensure that the proper steel frames were ordered.The UglyObviously I was not happy with the extremely late orders and the mixed up doors. So I ended up meeting with a top leader from their corporate office. This was after the jury rigged doors had been installed at my house while the proper order was being done. I was looking for a significant dicount for all this trouble. The corporate guy just blew me up, and said if I didnt like it they would just cancel the remainder of the order and walk away. Eventually I did get a small amount of money out of him, but not much. The fact that he was ready to throw me overboard so quick was a problem for me.To conclude, pluses are quality of product, installation team and financing. The installation manager gets a double plus from me. Minus is the order entry process and follow up / communication between the local office and the factory. Double minus is the coporate office.Almost one year later, I am very happy with the end product. The steel doors are great, very well insulated in winter and summer. And they are the most secure you can buy (but you have to ask for them special however, this is not their standard door). The sliding door is great, but expensive. Warrenty follow up has been good. One of the windows developed a crack, they reordered and installed with no issues.

Called over a month ago and they still havent had the time to come and out the pieces back up that fell or popped out of place.

Horrible experience! avoid this company at all cost! We were promised our windows in 4 weeks and they took almost 3 months! Once we received or windows we found out the sales person ordered the wrong door which needed to be reordered. We also had the company forget to order our inside trim for our windows. Almost EVERY window was installed incorrectly (nail and hammer holes in wrapping, we have photos of everything) trim was not flush with walls, had splits in it from the nail gun and was visibly dirty (had a shoe print on trim around kitchen window)! One window on our garage was actual broken while installing. NONE of the installers brought any of these issues to our attention, this was their completed work! Disgusting. Only came back to fix these mistakes after we threatened legal action. Project manager actually said it looks like they didnt know what they were doing at first but figured out but the last few windows. They didnt know what they were doing?? Who?? You mean the staff you hired for Comfort WINDOWS doesnt know how to install windows?? This was a huge job- 28 windows an entire house- think maybe it wasnt the best day to send in the B team?? The new door that they eventually installed months after the windows they cracked putting in and tried to hide the crack from us by covering it up with putty. Again, we had to bring this to the managements attention as the install team had every intention of leaving it that way. Waiting another 2 months for a new door that was then broken by them in shipping....now this is almost getting comical right?? Finally door is installed and it seems they never insulated properly while installing because our foyer is FREEZING after we purchased a $7000 front door! The thing that is really the worst about this ENTIRE situation is the lack of professionalism and overall lack of apologizing from the Comfort Window staff from installer through management. They have been annoyed with us, the clients, from the beginning. They were annoyed we wanted out products in the time frame promised by the sales person, they were annoyed we wanted them to fix their HORRIBLE craftsmanship, if you can even call it that. They have done NOTHING to right this wrong. The manager at one point offered us gift cards to dinner. Is it normal after someone spends thousands and thousands of dollars on a HUGE job to off then dinner to compensate for this level of mistakes?? The Comfort Window price supposedly comes with a guarantee of good work, well that good work doesnt exist. All these problems, not to mention the mess their employees left in every room and my lawn and how they all reeked of cigarette smoke in my house all day. No one should use this company. There is no way that all of these mistakes happened at just my house. They obviously have no idea what they are doing. If they have completed work for you look closely and then get an attorney because Im sure it was crap too. Horrible company. Horrible product. Horrible people.
