If you have issues with a European car, take it to J&J Werkstadt....stat. They are very professional, honest, and affordable. I usually do all of my own repairs to my vehicles, but we all get stumped sometimes. J&J Werkstadt have the experience and skills to help you find the ghost in the machine, so to speak. Also, they dont nickle and dime you like most dealerships, just honest hourly work and parts for your hard-earned money. The only mechanics I will let work on my Volkswagen! Thanks Paul! Cant recommend this business enough! They charge fair rates, do good work, and above everything else, they are HONEST! I took my Prius in to get some work done and at first they said they wouldnt be able to fix my issue.They didnt charge me a diagnostic fee or anything and were gracious enough to let me leave my car there for several days until I was able to pick it up. They do top notch work and I appreciate their business ethics!

I wouldnt take my car any where else. Mike and Tim are excellent mechanics as well as great people in general. It is a real gift to not have to worry about automotive care. I know I can depend on J& J Werkstadt for all my car repair issues. Happy customer for 25 years at least.

What a great place.Took in my Audi Q5 for panorama sunscreen replacement. Had a minor issue with a part from Audi but they dealt with it as well as they could have.Very efficient and charged me for the time they worked on it. Every single time I work with this company I’m treated fairly, respectfully and not only have I never had a problem or felt ripped off but they find me the best deal for cost and safety. Many thanks to J&J for the BMW Inspection II service performed on the 2006 Z4 M Roadster I just purchased. Keeping German cars on time for scheduled service is important in keeping up the enthusiast performance of these cars. Not only do they have factory BMW training, they also have the latest computers to set everything like the dealership does. This is the 3rd mechanic in Albany that Ive done business with and Im done searching. If youre reading this and looking for a mechanic, you should stop here. Ill save the time of writing out all the superlatives I could use to describe them and simply say that they couldnt have done better work or been faster about it, and their customer service should serve as an example to other businesses.

I, too, should have written a review a long, long time ago. Weve been bringing our cars here for years and the service is great. They are experts who are very honest and down to earth. This morning I had a terrible metal on metal sound and had the car towed there. It was just a stone stuck in the wheel. I wonder what other shops would have told me it was. Total trust in these folks!

Normally I wouldnt be happy that my car wouldnt start.....but because of a faulty computer that wouldnt read the chip in my key, I had the pleasure of meeting these guys.Not only are they friendly, they were honest about what needed to be fixed on my Mini Cooper today vs what could wait.I picked up my used mini about 9 months ago, and it needed a few things done as a 10 year old car needs. I happened to have mentioned that my top didnt work, and that Mini of Portland said that my convertible motors were shot, and that it was going to be $4000 to fix. Paul said that he was going to take a look because hed never heard of them going bad.Long story short, I got a call from them that my car was ready, and that they fixed my top. It was a simple fuse for a cost of $3. Thank you for saving me $3997 for something that wouldnt have even fixed the problem.I would highly recommend them for any work, they will be the only business that I will take my mini to. Came to J&J with an engine fault on my MBZ E320 while on a road trip. J&J diagnosed and repaired the car in short order. Big thumbs up.

Paul replaced the dual-mass flywheel on my 07 GTI in September 17. I was expecting a couple days, but got a call later in the afternoon that the car was ready! DSG transmissions are heavy beasts, and even as a competent DIYer, theres nobody Id trust more with my car than J&J for a job like this. Paul even pointed out the left tie rod end that was on its way out. Experience, ahead of time, on budget, and most importantly : Quality repairs that last down the road. Thanks, J&J !
