I’ve been coming here almost a year now, and Dave’s team is great. Service is excellent. Communication is clear and honest. Much more trustworthy than your typical dealership. Quality work & comfortable lobby.If you don’t drive a hybrid, you should test drive and start saving money. I save $400 per month on gas compared to my previous car. That means my car will be free after 2-3 years, just in gas savings. I highly recommend the Prius. Other hybrids aren’t as compelling to me. A used Hyundai Ionic is about $7,000-$10,000 more, and not significantly more fuel efficient to justify the higher price. If you drive carefully, you can get the same fuel economy as newer hybrids.In general, hybrids are awesome cars and don’t really depreciate. My Prius is actually worth more than when I bought it, due to increasing gas prices. I will never sell this car. I took my 2006 insight to my normal mechanic when the check engine light came on and it wouldn’t start. They looked at it and told me that the charging system was faulty and I would need a new transmission for around $6000. This was much more then I was willing to spend on the vehicle and I was at a huge loss as I had just bought the car and only put 4000 miles on it since purchase. After talking with some friends one of them recommend Dave’s to have a look. He not only diagnosed the problem as something else but took care of the work in a timely manner and did a great professional job. I will be taking my car to him from now on. Truly a magician. Dave is great! Brought my daughters 2007 Prius in with with a check engine light which the dealership said would cost $2,200 to fix. Dave and his crew worked to find the real reason.

Prius threw a ton of codes and was undrivable. Daves got me and my wife Sarah in quickly, detailed exactly what they were going to do and the cost throughout the process, and even provided pictures of issues and what they fixed in the end. Additionally they provided us with general maintenance items and schedule they noticed needed done without pressuring us into buying more service.Generally a do-it-yourselfer, but very happy with my experience here.

My car sounded like a tractor when I bought it. I took it to Daves and got a safety inspection and checked the hybrid battery. I went back in and had a new catalytic converter installed he qouted me a lower price for the installation and part then my family mechanic. My car is very quiet now I really enjoy driving it and I have the peace of mind of knowing that my hybrid battery still has life left in it. I will definitely be going back when I need a new battery. My 2007 Prius is running like new after a week at Dave’s. He quoted me for quite a few repairs needed, and explained why each item was needed. He also broke down all the repairs by price and by the importance of fixing now vs later so I could piece it out and make some informed decisions. He also let me know which items he’d get done on his own Prius. He was in touch all week and only did what I asked him to do. In the end the repairs were $50 less than what he quoted me. I live in California, but I was visiting Oregon for a road trip. I started having trouble with my dashboard. I got a quote from the dealership but they were going to take some time and I needed it fixed right away. I called Daves Performance Hybrids and they were familiar with the issue and they said they can fix it in an hour.I have a 2008 Prius and have had trouble with the dashboard for quite some time now. I brought it in and my technician was Mike Quihuis and he performed a combination meter repair on my car. He quoted me about an hour for the job, but he got it done in under one hour. He was very professional and timely especially for the quality of work he performed on my Prius. They saved me from having to be stranded on my road trip without a vehicle. My hybrid battery in my 2007 Toyota Camry went out a few weeks ago. When I took it in to the dealership, they quoted me $5,470 to repair it. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I saved thousands of dollars by bringing my car to Dave and his team. When I picked my car up, it ran amazingly and drove like it was brand new- I’ve never been happier with a decision. They took care of my car, and outlined every detail that they did, giving me a service report at the end for any future things to keep an eye on. Throughout this whole process, I felt as though I was in good hands. I’m glad I went to someone local rather than a Stealership.

Dave’s Performance Hybrids was recommended to me by another extremely satisfied customer to take care of my Prius when my car, as I was to find out later, had a failed inverter for the second time. My 2012 Prius was upwards of 175k miles, and I’ve done little to service short of get in and go, synthetic oil changes, tires and breaks. Dave answered me via text when his shop was closed, and allowed me to have my car towed to his shop on Memorial Day weekend, saving me from leaving it in my friend’s driveway for days. Promptly upon opening next day of business, Dave called me with the rundown. He told me of things that were critical to complete, could stand to be completed, and not necessary. He also, most importantly to me, determined that my inverter repair, which I had already had done at another shop in March of 2017 with a refurbished part from eBay, should have been covered on an extended warranty by the dealer both at the point the dealer diagnosed in 2017, and this go round. Over the next couple of days, Dave quickly took care of the service requirements for my vehicle. He printed out all of the paperwork I would then need, and coached me on what to say to secure the warranty repair that should have been completed the first time when I was instead quoted close to 4k for repair. In the end, Dave stayed available and involved until my warranty service was complete at dealership, and I was reimbursed the out of pocket I had paid originally for same repair. The dealer made right by the original point of dropping the ball, but I’m confident this would not have been recognized the second time either had I not been armed with information. I would absolutely recommend Dave for any hybrid need. Thank you Dave!!! My car has increased 10 miles per gallon from the maintenance and repairs.

I highly recommend Dave’s Performance Hybrids. I asked Dave to help me find a used Prius that he would feel comfortable putting his Mother in and I think he did a fine job. Even though there were a couple of small things that I needed to take care of after the fact, I realized the car was 12 years old and I should not be surprised there might be some unexpected maintenance, but most importantly Dave treated me more than fairly in the process. I’m comfortable now with turning the maintenance of both my Prius and my Camry over to him and his associates. And Ill encourage my daughter, who lives in Portland, to bring her Prius to Dave here in Albany if she needs help in the future. In a nutshell….Dave has earned my admiration and trust. Dave saved the day! On our way to the Portland Airport we stopped to get gas in Albany. We noticed the car was overheating. I called the nearest auto shop and luckily it was Daves Performance Hybrids. While my wife took a Lyft to Corvallis to get a rental car, Dave personally came to look at our car (2000 Acura RL). Dave diagnosed the problem, added missing coolant and I drove a half mile to his shop where we left the car while we were out of town. By the time we got back the car was repaired! Excellent service!

I took my car into Daves as the check engine light came on. He quickly found out what the issue was. He took such good care of my car and I. He even put the waiting room heater on my feet! Im so grateful for him. I will recommend him to any prius owner. 🤗

Dave called me to say he put a piece in my hybrid vehicle, and it would be free. The next morning he called, and said he changed his mind. He said I owed him $650. He said that if I didnt have the money, I could borrow it from family, friends, or the bank. I paid $325, and later found out the part was used.

Daves Performance Hybrids is a lifesaver, I wont trust any other shop with my Prius.I live in Eugene, my local hybrid specialist told me my HV battery had water damage, and my vehicle would require an entirely new HV battery. That was not the case whatsoever. It was the HV battery fan. Ended up only costing a couple hundred $ in parts and labor to fix my vehicle.I feel very lucky to have found a hybrid vehicle specialist that I can trust. If you have an older hybrid vehicle that is past its warranty, I suggest taking it into Daves to make sure everything is running good!These guys really know what they are doing!
