Some years ago I call a number of transmission places in Eugene and Springfield, Oregon for quotes on rebuilding my 1992 Dodge pick-up ,transmission ,which I had already diagnosed it having cuttings in the oil. Cordrays quote was one of the higher quotes, but I liked the way they talked to me with straight honest answers. Anyway they totally rebuilt my transmission, showing me all the parts they replaced and why, beings I am a mechanic of fifty years, and could understand what they were talking about. The surprise came when I received the bill and it was one thousand dollars below the quote. The reason was two years prior to this rebuilt, it was rebuilt by a company in Cottage Grove, which I took it back too twice for problems. When they rebuilt it they installed most of the new updates, which pass reuse guild lines for this overhaul. Cordrays did not know about the updates that were in the original quote. There it is honesty and integrity. They do all my transmission serves and more.MC

My transmission went out last Thursday 4/22/21, we called around talk to Cordray‘s they rebuild the transmissions in their shop so that they can warranty them they do not send them out to someplace else to be rebuilt. I think the statement was “how can we warrant something that we don’t know what’s been done to it” my husband spoke with Mike we went there 20+ years ago. Jed met us took all our information was very informative, and if he did not have an answer he did not hesitate to get the answer.I was told that my pick up would be ready this coming Friday 4/30/21and I got a phone call yesterday afternoon after they closed saying I could pick it up this morning you can’t ask for better service than that!!!Will HIGHLY recommend 😊😎

Called to inquire about regearing my truck for more torque on the ground, the guy who answered was polite and courteous. Word is the first interaction you have with a business decides if youd use them or not and I was prepared to make an appointment.Unfortunately if you are a bit of a nut about the parts that go in your vehicle and like to supply your own, they wont install supplied parts. Bummer, but have to respect that it would sometimes result in folks bringing in the wrong items etc. costing time and time is money.Id definitely have given them my business based on the short phone interaction, so definitely worth a call if in need of a repair. Good reviews, polite folks and hopefully awesome work.

Was impressed with Jed and his honesty. I went in for various services expecting the worst for a bill and was pleasantly surprised that several things did not require any work. These guys built my transmission in my truck. First of all I spoke with the owner and he is very knowledgeable about his products and knew what I was looking for just by me telling him what my plans were with my truck and the price range I had. Great guys to work with and will most definitely bring my truck back here these guys go above and beyond for their customers 40k on the build with tunes and shes holding strong!

Service cost was about $150 over what was originally quoted but that wasnt really an issue given the range and number of things to be done. Overall, good experience.

To truck to get fixed. Found out my starter went out. They replaced but failed to identify why it had hard starts to cause starter to go out quickly. They failed to test the fuel intake problem which I pointed out to them. They could have checked FICM or even fuel pump but instead they did neither.

What else can I say they are professional and at a great price and very fast.

Great service! I had a leak in the transfer case of my 4WD truck, and heard about the high potential cost of repairing this part. Cordrays was honest and told me it was a known manufacturers issue that was easily repaired. In and out in a day and a hundred bucks - very happy!

I am forever thankful for Wes Kramer and staff here at Cordrays Continental. After breaking down on the side of I-5 and waiting 3+ hours for a tow truck, Wes stuck around the shop on a Friday afternoon to fix my car once I got there. Thank goodness it was such a quick fix I was back not the road in 15 minutes. Next time I need anything done to my car Im going to drive back to Albany and have him work on it.

While traveling from Salem to Eugene, I had a spark plug come loose while on the freeway. Triple A sent a tow truck and they towed me to Cordrays Continental. The mechanic got me in right away, reattached the spark plug, and tightened the remaining plugs in about 10 minutes. After advising me to get a tune-up from my regular repair shop as soon as possible, they sent me on my way with no charge. If I lived in Albany, they would my auto shop of choice. Highly recommend.

Excellent service at a reasonable price and the staff was easy to work with.

I had emissions issues with my Duramax Sierra which had me in limp mode. After some self diagnosing and replacing a part, then taking it to one of the local dealerships and their diagnosis costing me thousands and still not fixing the issue, I dropped it off at Cordrays and was on the road again after only a few days and minor fixes that cost a fraction of what I had previously spent!

Cordrays rebuilt the transmission and transfer case in my pickup for almost $24 hundred dollars. I was offered a 3 yr/36 K warranty prior to the job and received a 1 yr/12 K when the job was complete. I found a loose lock nut on the clutch adjustment rod and a bent retainer clip on the clutch fork afterwards. I asked them to live up to the original agreed terms, they did not. I can not recommend them.

I was lucky and found Brian at Continental Auto last year. I have had to take my car back for repair twice since then and he is ALWAYS fair and really fast getting my car back to me. The repair costs at Continental are reasonable and you (and your car) are always treated with respect. I will never take my car anywhere else! Best repair shop in the valley. Love this place!!

My experience with these guys was that they were respectful, considerate and professional. I feel that they went above and beyond.My fuel pump died in my 2003 Audi A4 outside of this town while I was on the drive from AZ to WA.Towed it to Continental auto. Spoke to Brian - he was respectful, considerate and professional.The part arrived from WA in less than 1 day - they had me back on the road in no time. They installed the part as soon as it arrived.The mechanic was friendly and did good work, even went out of his way to make sure my personal belongings in the car didnt break (he had to unload tons of stuff out of my car to fix it).They also gave me rides back and forth from my hotel to the shop. The woman that did the driving was very friendly and helpful as well.Great experience with these guys. The fuel pump is still going strong and Id recommend these guys.

Tried to charge me $7,500.00 for a issue that ended up being a $500.00 repair at their competitor. They used to be credible. Dont know what happened.

These guys have always taken great car of my cars! Excellent service, honest prices, and if they dont fix the problem the first time then they dont charge for additional labor! At least that has been my experience.Just took my new-to-me car in because I wasnt sure if they timing belt had been replaced and it was due. They spent a couple hours on it and determined that the belt and water pump were recently replaced and they didnt charge me for the labor! They were shorthanded and their service was still fast and excellent!Previous times Ive been in there the experience has been just as wonderful. These guys rock! Would recommend to everyone!

We had a problem with our Jeep Liberty starting. My wife took the lead on the service because its her vehicle and she was home dealing with it while I was at work. We had it towed via AAA. Unfortunatly I wasnt around to direct or suggest ideas; the battery wasnt tested initially by the tow company or the Garage. And it took them hours to diagnose the issue: the problem being a relatively simple battery replacement. They charged over $300 for the battery replacement. When I spoke with them about the high bill they blamed us for not deactivating the security system which made their diagnosis more difficult. I attempted to communicate with them many times throughout the service work and got no response. I found out about the security system issues once they presented the bill. When I attempted to negotiate the cost they became rude and even hostile. They freaked out my wife to the point that she was afraid to talk to them herself.So Continental Auto and Transmission Repair is a company I will avoid and tell others to avoid in the future for the following reasons:-They are Expensive-The employees have Poor Communication-The employees have difficulty in diagnosing issues-The person I spoke with was Hostile

Wouldnt quote out a r & r transmission for our car on the phone. Its a simple request... I have this vehicke with said engine and transmission... Poor customer service and they even have to give themswlves a 5 star review to help improve their rating..

Had my 2000 Tacoma there today (April 14, 2016) for what I thought could have been a critical issue with the transmission. Mike later called saying Tacomas are plagued with what he called axle wrap. For good measure he lubricated the spline, which solved the problem I was having. No major work, and all for under $100.00. My experience with this business has been 100% positive. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable and didnt inflate the issue or its resolution. Cant ask for more from an auto repair shop. I would trust these guys for whatever future transmission repair was necessary.

Great service, very nice guys, took the time to explain the whole process to me before I scheduled an appointment.

They misdiagnosed the problem with my truck and charged me for their mistake.I had a rumble / vibration when I turned. On the test drive, the technician thought it was a front wheel bearing. Without inspecting the front bearings, he came to the conclusion it was something in the rear end. He took the differential apart and told me I needed new axles, appx $850. I opted for less expensive axle-saver bearings, appx $300.This did not fix the problem. He finally inspected the front bearings, the front left bearing was obviously bad. He replaced it, problem solved. Took about 20 min and under $20 in parts.I got charged for all of the labor for the unnecessary rear end work. . When I asked for consideration, manager Brian told me he could take the rear end apart again and put the old bearings back in. I considered taking him up him up it, but it was late, and at that point I didnt want them touching my car again.I sent an email to them with no response.About a week later, I called, talked to Pat, told her about the email, and she suggested I talk to the owner. She took my number and said he would call. He never called.I understand that mistakes get made, and I was willing to pay for all of the parts, and maybe some labor at a reduced rate (but not $85/hr). No response from them.

Apparently if you do not show up in a Dodge diesel, you get treated like pond scum. Went in for a very basic transmission service, was quoted a wild random number, then turns his back and says I dont work for free as he walked away from me. To top it off, he wouldnt sell me the parts to make the repair myself. I get you have to pay for quality work, and I am more then happy to do so. But why would I give you money when you are obviously being very disrespectful to me?I guess installing diesel tuners and adjusting valves is the modern day transmission shop. Ill be taking my business elsewhere, and will give the same advice to anyone who asks.Thanks for giving a shift guys!

Broke down in our motorhome on HWY 5 late at night. They fixed our motorhome and let us stay in it at night, and even plugged us into the shop so we could have electricity. Super nice and did not overcharge us because were out-of-towners. Would highly recommend. And they had great coffee too!

Just because this location is AAA certified, doesnt mean they do unnecessary work. When our jeep wouldnt start the tow truck guy through AAA took it here. They were arrogant and unprofessional, and spent hours trying to figure out our problem only to find out it was the battery.( Wouldnt you check that first if it was an electrical issue?) They were using the spare key and instead of waiting for us to drop off the factory key, they continued to waste our money trying to diagnose the problem. We were overcharged and treated poorly and would NOT go here again.
