A very clean and nice place to do all your laundry need they even a vending machine for soap powder if you need it.

The person that was working there went I went by didn’t seem to know much about the operations of the business. Told me to just call the “emergency contact” number posted on the wall. DOES NOT ACCEPT DEXTER PAY! This should be specified ANYWHERE but it’s not. They only have Dexter machines (which means nothing to most people) I wanted the convenience of paying through my phone but wasn’t possible.

This is a popular laundry in Alameda. It has all the utilities that you need, ATM machine, you can pay with credit card almost all the wash machine, charger for your phone and good parking.

Very clean and easy. 4$ for usual 25 min laudry, 75c is one time detergent. 25c for 6 minutes drying. Dry in half hour.

Nice employee. Clean quiet. Amazon locker was a plus! So I picked up my items and got my laundry done. Lots of stores near by while waiting and lots of washers and dryers.

When attempting to do laundry this evening, the owner and/or employee (whoever was working there cleaning up Im told by other patrons it was the owner) was continually moving through the inside shared laundry space without a mask.They have signs posted everywhere but dont feel the need to follow them.

Due to COVID19🛑NO RESTROOM; please⛽ laundrymats post notice visually in the window ahead of time before cloths wash. Reasonable priced with various load size machines and fees.I was ask by a male client what dose soaking mean? From a female view; items, produce, or plants/grass etc. is in a solutiom for 15 plus minutes or more. This guy didnt agree with a note that was posted on a large washer about soaking; not a happy camper.🦺I appreciate the owner for getting back with me about with knowledge of other laundrymats for client restrooms previledges.🎖We are responsible people or is this being question now from all parties related?🙌

I had the experience absolute happiness when I came to Rags coin laundry in Alameda. They have everything, u can use your credit cards, they have cell phone power charging coin-operated, and .75 cents laundry detergent and fabric softener sheets! Obviously the owner and their employees really strive to provide a super helpful and cost effective laundry experience over all!!!

Nice laundromat. Sometimes, it could be a bit cleaner...but for the most part, I have no complaints. The owner is such a sweet guy, its easy to overlook any small grievances one may have, because of how sweet the owner treats his customers. Hes like a laundry fairy grandpa, who sometimes gives you quarters and a smile for your laundry 😁 I love the two giant washers he has there (great for bedding!). Theres a parking lot in the back, too 👍 Most of the machines accept debit cards..Dont be alarmed when you see.a temporary $15 charge is placed on your card...it will drop off once youve completed your laundry (usually within the same day🙂).

Sadly, the presence of people without face masks has put others at risk unnecessarily. If you are going, please wear a mask as there are elders, parents w/ young children there most times. Just watch the news - the virus is NOT gone and infections have gone up in Alameda.

I try and go when they open...no crowd and machines work well, if one breaks, leave a note taped to the unit (provided supplies) and it is fixed shortly.

This location is usually clean and well maintained, but they are trying to make all of the washers and dryers use debit cards. Do NOT use your debit card! I used the washer by the front door for one load of laundry and now have a $15.00 charge on my bank account. I would NEVER pay $15 to wash one load of laundry!Now I have to dispute the charge with my bank and try to get a refund for the difference between the $15 charge and the $2.75 that should have been charged.DO NOT USE YOUR DEBIT CARD!!!

Its the only place open late near by (12 midnight) the people working there are fantastic, always helping and the machines are kept clean and running.

Rags is my favorite spot to wash my laundry. Its well location makes it easy. Just pop your clothes in, grab a bite to eat around the corner then come back and finish up drying. Lots of parking out back and the prices are very reasonable. Thanks #80 👍🏼

I love this laundrymat. Its quick and easy(just uses quarters) and they always have change in the machines which is awesome. Also its not too crowded and they have lovely machines if all sizes. I like how there is plenty of parking in the back as well.

Update: August 4, 2015The owner, Art, responded. When using a debit card on the machines, the bank puts a $15 hold on the account, which is later adjusted to the actual amount. When I went back through my bank records, I was able to confirm this to be true.Art explained that he used to have a sign posted explaining the hold, but that it confused more people than it helped.~~I saw this same complaint posted to Yelp, but only too late...My washing machine was broken over the July 4th long weekend, and this laundromat is the closet to my home.I used my credit card to pay for a big 60 lb washer, and the posted charge was $8When I checked my bank account, they had charged $15 under OPS*DRAKES Alameda.This was after they posted a nastygram on my car windshield, saying that if you park in their lot, but arent doing laundry, your car is subject to ticket/towing.
