I love this store. You can find pretty much anything here and they upgraded their shelves with yummy snacks. The staff is awesome too. They are helpful and very nice.

This place is hands-down the number store to shop in Alameda. They have been there for years and always have whatever your looking for. I have been coming here since I was a kid. I am now a father and now bring my kid here. The people who work here are welcoming and warming

Ive looked in many, many stores for the laundry hangers with clothespins for socks, etc & they had them in the last aisle! The search is over!

These guys are OG. I often roll by to pick up cleaning supplies or balloons on someones birthday. They have garden planters at good prices and a fun instant ramen selection.

Theyre deceiving in their prices. They charge you for every little thing check your receipt. Is very overwhelming and messy in things are not organized in the store they also have food in there for sale check the dates

I cannot believe I waited so long to really check this place out. Great for gift bags, party supplies and balloons! So many Asian food products - its now my #1 spot for these items. Plus they carry pan de ube from Valeros!! Great random items too (some even brand name) scored on Dove products.

Among other many nice finds, they have a selection of filipino groceries, from pandesal to mang tomas condiments! I now have a place nearby instead of going all the way to Union city for quick filipino necessities! I really like this place!

Discount City is my favorite store. They have a wide variety of items, and food, for low income people on a budget. The owner, Sharif, and his staff, are extremely helpful and friendly. I am very grateful for Discount City. I dont own a car, and this store makes my life liveable.

Everyone is very helpful and friendly. It is better than the$1 store because they have better deals. Some of the things that they sell are priced 0-100 dollars. They may cost a little more but you get a deal . Like they have bathroom mat sets toilet seat floor and tub all for $11. They also have blankets food , personal,hygene, electronics and more.

These guys are great, this place has a little bit of everything tons of party supplies a little bit of interesting foodstuffs cleaning supplies lotto and balloons. And thats not all, its kind of like your one-stop-shop.

Well I tell you when I walk into discounts any I usually have about x amount of dollars in my pocket and I sometimes spend a quarter of that this place is fantastic just about everything you could think of you they have it and theyre very nice there

I work in Oakland and I was looking for a place to buy some balloons and disposable party items. I found this place in Alameda and I was really surprised with their prices. It was much cheaper than the other party stores.They have all kind of merchandise. It is like treasure store

The shop owner is very friendly. Everytime I go there the service is fast at checkout. They now have a wide variety of products like grocery, party supplies etc. The prices are cheap mostly ranging from 99 cents to $5 depending on what you buy. Recently I have seen some expensive brands that are usually expensive but they are extremely cheap.

Unbelievable prices for the fresh fruit,vegetable and grocery. They also have nice section on party supply for the birthday and graduation. Their balloons prices and selection are graet

First of all Google street view is currently wrong. Its showing the Taylor St. side of Nations Burgers at the corner of Webster. Discount City #3 is in the former Grand Auto Store about 2 doors up on Webster. This is a good place to stock up on paper goods and off brand liquid soaps, hand sanitizers, household cleaners, gift wrap/party supplies and odd knick-knacks. They have some groceries. Be sure to check expiration dates. If any fresh produce, be sure to look it over closely for freshness, as it can be dicey. I think this is also a Metro PCS location. It was about 2 years ago when I was last in here.

I would give this 0 stars if I could! This is the worst discount city ever! They may have items but most of them are expired! Like the drinks, food, veggies and fruits! Whats is really annoying is the cashier! Some of the cashiers are nice but some are really rude! This one guy tries to make jokes about customers that are really annoying and rude AND THEN saids Just Kidding If you want your store to have more customers than be nicer to them and dont lie! Dont even joke around with them! Im never ever coming back to this store ever! Its not just one time I go to this store and the cashiers are rude and joking around! They always do this when me or a friend or relative is there! Very disappointed and unsatisfied with this store! Plus they dont even sell 99 cents items ! Usually it comes with tax but most of the store is more than 1.50! I recommend going to another store like Daiso or Dollar Tree! At least they are cheaper and come with very nice attitude !
