Wonderful little hidden gem in the East Bay. The shop has been here over 100 years, and the quality of the cuts and the barbers is top notch. Every time Ive gone for a cut I get to hear a new story about the area or the shop - the conversation is great. If you like a good ol fashioned quality haircut this is the shop for you. They just dont make em like this anymore, genuinely great.

These guys are amazing. Great haircuts, good conversation. This is the sister shop of Temescal Alley Barbershop, but you can make appointments. I now prefer Als, its smaller and more friendly.

After six months in East Bay, I finally found my go-to barber shop. I’ve had two too many negative experiences at People’s in Uptown. As someone who has thick Asian hair and requires something of a chia-pet attention to detail, these guys are it. They listen well to what I want, and execute. My go-to guy is Paul. Give them a go.

Been going here for over a year now as my go to barber, I had one bad experience with a temporary staff and after emailing, I was called within 30 minutes and offered a new appointment FOC. This is why I go to Als Barbers, experience and customer service are stellar, mistakes happen and knowing they will be resolved without question only solidifies my reassurance in them as professionals of their trade.
