So I’ve never had a bad experience with Uhaul and this time the truck made the trip but it cost me 2 days drive and a 1 days work. The truck was hesitating during 120 mile ride, one way would not reach highway 70 legal speed. Only 55-58 the most. Spoke with Ethan and he said they checked and didn’t see anything technical with it. Pretty much calling me a lier. The check engine light remained on from the time of pickup.

My go-to source of propane for my grill and outdoor fireplace and heaters. Seriously, I don’t know why people do the blue rhino exchanges when they can get a quick, easy and friendly 100% propane fill (the exchanges aren’t full tanks) for a fraction of the cost. You pull up, ring the bell, fill takes a minute and you can even pay outside. I’ve always had great experiences here.

Worst supervisor I have ever dealt with. Did nothing but look for ways to charge me penalties. I have renting probably over 100 times with Uhaul, and this guy is the worst for customer relations. Go to the Tallmadge Ave. location if you dont want to be stiffed.

TERRIBLE... showed up to pick up my truck and trailer I reserved, nobody at the front desk. Waited 15 minutes and called the place.. no answer. I found a maintenance lady painting and she called the manager on speaker phone thats in some other building telling her that its my fault I didnt drive around and find him. Them said hes busy and I just have to wait a while. Been 30 minutes and still nothing.

I had a great experience here. I upgraded from a trailer to a 26’ truck last minute with no issues. The truck itself was really clean and well maintained for having 170,000 miles. The guy at the front desk was helpful in answering all my questions and was polite. I will definitely go back to this location if I ever need another rental truck.

Upon entering the facility, two gentlemen watched as we walked to the counter. We asked them about renting a van, and the one gentleman’s response was, “what kind of van we have multiple” in a very agitated tone. After explaining what we needed, they both had no clue, dimensions of the van. Very unhelpful, very rude. Upon pulling up after our drop off, another gentleman came outside and loaded on charges that they did not even mention upon renting the vehicle. Very unsatisfied, better customer service should be given.

Profoundly terrible customer service. Went in on a Sunday to ask a question about my storage unit. Employees did not greet me and looked at me like I was an alien. Went to check on my things in my storage unit. I’ve had this unit for about a year and there was MOLD growing all over a couch, a mattress, and a box spring. Was told my unit was climate controlled when I got it (it’s inside a building with heat and a/c), so I figured they’d be alarmed there’s mold. Instead they tell me my unit isn’t climate controlled and if I leave the moldy items they will charge me to remove them! Shocked and angry I ask how much they will charge me and they reply “I don’t know.” Honestly was only looking for them to help me dispose of the items that their negligence ruined. I called back again later to see if I could speak to the manager. Woman on the phone says he’s not in until tomorrow morning but that he said to call “RepWest”. I ask her what RepWest is and she responds “I don’t know.” Unbelievable! I google it and it’s to file an INSURANCE CLAIM! What???I called back the next morning and spoke to the manager. He tells me the unit isn’t climate controlled because “we don’t monitor the temperature.” What?? Why not? Laziness? Incompetence? Being shady? I clarify that I’m just looking for help throwing away the ruined items and he very smugly says “are you looking for a quote on a truck to remove the items?” As if I’m an annoyance for their lousy business practices ruining my things! After he again refused to help me in any fashion whatsoever, I told him that I would rent a moving truck from a different location to remove my items from their storage unit.TLDR: terrible customer service, terrible management. Will charge you $85 a month for a year for a storage unit AND THEN want to charge you when your stuff gets mold all over it.

Reserved a storage unitOn Friday. Had movers set to come pickup my things and something told me to go ahead of time to lock down the storage unit. Got there and they said they don’t know how I was able to reserve the unit bcuz there were none available. I’m currently in my car looking for A storage unit and trying to make it home before the movers get there smh

If I could give them a negative number I would. Austin and Alexis are extremely rude and need to learn respect for the customers. I called in asked for the manager and Austin asked me what the problem was. I told him my credit card was charged twice and he proceeded to tell me I was wrong and tried to read the contract to me. I told him I didn’t need it read but need to know when my money would be returned. He proceeded to yell at me. Finally Alyssa came over to him and said I was right and to listen to me. She told me I could see the manager in the morning and to stop in. So I go the next morning to see the manager Ethan and was met by Alexis. She was immediately on defense and was extremely rude and started yelling and told us to leave. I asked for the manager and she said she doesn’t know when he will ever be in. Even though she was on the phone with him. I also told her about the icy sidewalks and that I almost fell and she said she will get to them when she feels like it. She again was very rude. We told her we were the customer and she should listen and she said no and so what we just need to leave. I finally called uhaul and had to file a complaint. I would not use this store ever. They are rude and trashy. I would find another uhaul with some respect fir its customers. Alexis and Austin need serious training on customer service!!!

Long story short I returned a truck for a friend who had moved because he lost his job because of the pandemic and got evicted and then wasnt feeling well so it was returned late I took it on my lunch break which was only 30 mins so I was in a rush so the guy who said he was the manager started telling me about the fees the he acquired from keeping it longer than he was supposed to so Im like ok Ill help him out and pay $50 of it and asked him if the would put my card on file and keep charging me which he assured me that they would and a month later I was going through my bank statement and noticed they have been taking money from my account so it took me over an hour on hold to talk to someone at the store just to get hung up on so I called the 1800 number just for them to tell 3 that its nothing that they can do because I signed a promise to pay which I was tricked into signing because he told me I was signing for returning the truck and gave me nothing to read over or a copy of anything just a receipt for the $50 payment

Total zombies working at this location. I was the only customer onsite for 20 minutes and couldnt get my propane tank filled. I guess they didnt take there opiods yet and couldnt function. This location is where Uhaul puts the short yellow bus employees to try and hide them from civilization. I went to the tallmadge ave location and got my tank filled right away and they were busy as well. Thanks tallmadge ave. Keep up the good work.

Dropped off my Uhaul here, and it couldnt have been an easier process. Just drove up to the drop off point, the employee said that everything looked good, just that I went a few miles over the estimate and that it would be a few extra dollars. The whole process what a lot easier than I was expecting.

Chris was very helpful. Explained everything thoroughly. Most of the time I go to the one in kent because its right around the corner from my house but every so often I come to university. Chris and I will have long conversations about anything. Sometimes I forget why I even came in. I swear its almost like we work together.

I reserved a van to be picked up at 9:30am. i arrived and no one was in the building or anywhere outside and there was another man waiting inside who said he had been there for about 20 minutes and seen no one. i called the office several times and no one answered. i wandered the entire property inside and out and found no one. i even checked the employee only areas as they were left unlocked and open. i finally saw someone wandering the parking lot a good 45 minutes after we arrived who looked to be an employee. i informed them that i and now 3 other people had been waiting for quite some time and they began yelling at me. long story short the people who work here are extremely rude and unprofessional. if you need a u haul from here i recommend using the app so you don’t have to bother with these people.

Horrible attitude from GM and clerk working when I picked up my truck. Had to pay $98 to rent a truck bigger than what I needed when I only expected to pay about $40-$50 all because I needed the truck 1 hour longer than requested and it couldnt be done. I understand being sold out of trucks but, The attitude of these employees is ridiculous and the fact that the GM was unable to do anything and didnt seem to care is unacceptable. Service is terrible and something should be done about it. On top of that, the passenger side mirror on the truck would not stay in place while driving so it was horribly unsafe and you needed someone to ride with you to hold the mirror. I always use U-Haul and usually this location but my advice here is GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!

Attitude problem. I didnt make you work there, so dont take that on me. Sorry your life is not what you want it to be. I was returning a piece of equipment today and for the get go, I knew I was dealing with someone who has no business working in customer service. I was tire and drove 26 hours overnight and was not interested in wasting the little strength I had on a vermin.

They are unorganized, I dont think its their fault alone, but a lot off issues with the call center. When I got there they only had half of the required parts for my hitch and they were the wrong parts. I went in the next weekend to get the hitch installed. It looked great even though it took them much longer to install than they said it would. I have been getting a weird noise since then, I just checked and they never tightened my bumper and it is missing nuts, so my bumper on my brand new truck has been bouncing around back there for a week.Update: months later I went to use my 7 pin hook up for my big trailer (I had only used the stock 4 pin until now) and the lights were all screwed up. I had to take the harness apart to see what was going on, and discovered that they had 6 out of the 7 wires in the wrong location. I had to rewire the whole thing in the dark the day before our trip. I definitely question the quality of work coming out of here

These guys dont even want to try. I made an appointment for a hitch and had to pre pay for the service two weeks in advance. The tech makes sure to tell me 10 times, that its at his discretion if he installs the hitch. Ive worked with enough people to know when a guy is telling me he cant do something when really he just doesnt want to do it. So I should have expected, when I brought my 01 pickup in for the installation, the guy looked under it and sure enough said he was afraid he would snap a bolt so he couldnt do it. Snapping a bolt can happen any time. They should have boxes of bolts. if Snapping a bolt is keeping you from installing hitches then maybe you shouldnt be doing hitches. Bottom line is they didnt want to get their hands dirty. Dont waste your time with U haul if you want a hitch installed. Apparently at U-haul you have to do everything yourself. Pathetic.

The guy that checked us out was completely rude to me and the customer next to me. He was condescending and was not helpful at all. It’s uhaul, you should be able to walk in, pay the money, and leave with a truck with little to no hassle. However, if you get this guy you have to call your great ancestors to validate your bloodline all while the guy talks to you like he’s the best thing that’s happened to uhaul. Calm down Trent, uhaul customers aren’t trying to pull slick ones on you.

Greatest experience ever in my life! Steve the manager was such a big help. When i went to two other locations. That said they couldnt find my reservation in their system. He found my reservation and walked me through the process to inform other works for my next visit. I will alway go here for my truck rentals.

Where do I even BEGIN!! THIS FACILITY AND COMPANY IS AS CROOKED AS A PERSON W/ A SEVERE CASE OF SCOLIOSIS!!!! RENTED A TRUCK and was given paperwork it was inspected and no problems....I have an entire HOUSEFUL of ITEMS THAT SHIW OTHERWISE....THE ITEMS WERE WATER DAMAGED BECAUSE OF THEIR NEGLECT and THE TRUCK LEAKED ALL OVER MY HOUSE CONTENTS! EVERYTHING FROM MEDICAL EQUIPMENT THAT WAS VITAL FOR MY UNCLE TO STAY OUT OF THE HOSPITAL TO FURNITURE TO PICTURES THAT CAN NOT BE REPLACED NOT to mention ANTIQUES!! FILED PROPER PAPERWORK TO CLAIM THE LOSSES AND WOULDNT YOU KNOW....DENIED BECAUSE OF....OH, HOW CONVENIENT THEIR INSURANCE COMPANY, REPWEST, IS OWNED BY U HAUL!!! WRLL WHO IS GOIN TO ACCEPT A CLAIM FOR THOUSANDS AND PAY IT OUT FOR THE COMPANY THEY OWN!?!? I rented a car hauler to use to transport a car from this Uhaul dealership in Ohio to North Carolina. I commented that this was a one-way transport and requested 2 days in order to complete the trip and have enough time to turn in the equipment at my destination. The guy helping me even knew this because he commented on it too. Upon turning in the equipment (on time), Uhaul charged an extra $300 on my credit credit because they say my reservation was not a one-way. They didnt call me to tell me anything, just put an extra charge on my credit card. Shady!! Calling the corporate office and the two local offices didnt help a bit either. Same ole you are screwed, because we screwed you story. They all said it was my misunderstanding, not theirs. Reading the fine print on your contract doesnt mean squat when they can change it at any time they want to. Hey Uhaul! Usuck!

There was only one employee working - which I didnt mind waiting the 45 min it took to check out. The problem was that the equipment that I rented was unsafe and I received no call from company staff when I warned them about it on multiple occasions.

I went to this U-haul, I rented a truck the reservation was till 12pm, I returned the truck at 1:45pm and they charged me for a extra day, and I didnt even move everything. Then I purchased a Flat Panel TV Box on Fri, took it back Sat as of Today I still dont have my money back, and wait until next week. SMFH!!!
