Absolutely the rudest people I have ever worked with. I called regarding payment status on funds that has been sitting for two months unallocated only to be spoken to like I was a true inconvenience. They could offer absolutely no help nor point me in the direction to try and resolve the issue my self. The woman named Lisa that I spoke to on the phone was disrespectful and made me feel like her time was too important to be wasted. My only question is why does this organization exist if these people cant address questions or have the will power to do what the system is designed for? Biggest waste of time and energy.

It would be nice if child support was spent on my kids and not on her home she can not afford.

This place is horrible. They never answer questions. Then when they do respond its rude and condescending. They act like its a bother to even answer a message. No help at all and treat the parent receiving the child support like theyre no better than the dirt on their shoe. And dont bother to call because no one ever answers.

Since theyve given out stimulus money. They have been on my neck about 2500.00 my daughter is 28yrs old.

Cant log into website. When calling for assistance because it will not allow you to simply change the password, could not to speak to anyone that could help with technical issues. Was informed after several minutes of telephone prompting to create a new account. System would not allow since personal info was the same. It recognized it and requested I log into current account. Still have not been able to utilize online services. Wrote the county officials...2 weeks later, no response. They sent a routine Covid19 email on how their maneuvering around it.

My initial support order was based on an income from a state I had not live in since 2002. I had worked other jobs in Ohio, even in Summit County after that 2002. How does an income 6 years prior where you are no longer employed get used? I was not working at the time of order or months prior to due to full time college. I was not asked about my employment nor had a hearing I was present. They also took from a part job I got.

Door 1 visitation and custody, Door 2 money/child support. Must go through door 1 in order to go through door 2. No child support case should be even accepted until visitation and custody are established. What kind of message is being sent to our children? Money is more important than time to spend with ones child? Its not that hard to figure out. Establish time to spend with child, then figure out the dollars and cents. Each parent should get a schedule way before any parent gets a bill. This place needs sanctions placed on it for false advertisement. The doors need closed, all support payments need to be suspended until every case has a formal visitation and custody hearing. Then the doors can open back up and they follow the guidelines set at the opening of this message. It would make a lot of cents:-) and make their job easier to base how much money a parent gets if a visitation schedule is set now doesnt it? They go off how much money you make that right there shows their true intentions, sorry its your guys procedure not mine, dont be upset at me for pointing out the obvious here.

I had to go into the office the other day not knowing what I was doing, who I needed to talk to and most definitely not what I needed to do.I spoke with Miss Sherri there and she was amazing! Shes very patient. Took a look over my documents, gave me some informative information, some steps to follow and everything was taken care of. Thanx to everyone there. You made things a lot easier for me. I really appreciate the service and especially the education and your patience in helping me out!

Case worker was beyond rude. Told me to sit down twice, while I was in the process of sitting down.Case worker refused to listen to the facts of the case from both the mother and me, when we’re both telling her we have shared custody. So now a child support order is being put in place based on false pretenses.Case worker said I own two vehicles, even though they belong to the business, so technically I own none.I don’t know if this particular case worker hates her life, or just all men, but I haven’t felt so disrespected and small in a long time. If I was this particular case worker, I would hate myself for treating people the way she does. Definitely one of the top ten worst experiences of my life.

I admit to getting behind in payments. Not by a lot but fell on hard times. I paid all that I could when I could. When I call to get a balance of what is owed that balance changes. 2 weeks ago I was told 274$ called today was told 916$. Same rude lady who seems to care less about actually helping and more with reading from her script and making you feel like a complete lowlife. She also told me to contact my state congressman which I did. This place has never been ran with any regards to fathers who actually try to do the right thing. They are no better or care anymore than a debt collector. There is a whole lot more but this isnt the place.

As a father who sees his children on the regular and works as a contractor in Ohio climate this office is at best an irritation. My work being seasonal doesnt register on the low level of intelligence this office is operating at. I firmly believe this system is a racket and organza crime only legal.

They never made him pay when my kids were little. They are now 26 and 30 years old and they still dont enforce anything. He has paid erratically the last couple years then stopped. He only paid that much to get his driving privilege back then stopped paying. Now they tell me because he receives ssi that its not enough to garnish. I will die before he ever pays it off. They did nothing when my kids needed it and now they are grown. I worked my butt off so my kids had the things all the other kids had while he played and pocketed hos money. What a jokeThey enforce nothing so they should change the name to child support joke agency. If you do happen to get a payment they take part of the money for processing fee. Nothing but a joke.

Gretchen was wonderful! The agency as a whole, took more than twenty years to obtain my court-ordered child support. After 14 years they discontinued my case due to my lack of cooperation, which was a joke - I provided every bit of information requested, and more. They found my ex-husband after my appeal and six more years, then lost him, and again, discontinued my case. This time my appeal brought results; they found him and within a year child support began. I will be 110 years old when my ex is caught up, but I thank Gretchen for her due diligence. We are saving the income and will be utilizing it for an Alaskan cruise; my son was an adult before the funds came in, and this is our decision. Thanks, Gretchen!

Lack of compassion and consistency. The time it takes to process information is a joke. We are in 2018 for crying out loud.

They manage to get everything they do backwards and wrong. Took them four months to get my case open and thats after finally bringing my copies of their paperwork to them. When they finally got things rolling they told me I was 4 months in arrear and threatened to report on my credit and yank my license, not to mention automatically take back support... None of which I owe.Everyone has a sob story... And now I do too, wonderful.

I would give them a zero if possible. This office has illegally charged me child support for years without a valid support order. The appellate court issued an order in 2016 that determined the decree of divorce and child support order was not valid. Summit county csea continues to violate the law and charge support on a court order that doesn’t exist.We had a state hearing yesterday and the county employee katelyn feeman testified on behalf of the county csea. The hearing was recorded by the state hearing officer and we were all under oath with penalty of perjury. Ms. Feeman flat out committed perjury multiple times during the hearing and I documented such to the hearing officer. I read into evidence the past court order from the appeals court, as well as provided evidence that the county csea is engaged in criminal actions pursuant to ORC2921.45. When presented with irrefutable evidence she perjured herself, ms feeman then refused to further testify on those matters and tried to claimed that matters related to my children and their health insurance were “confidential”. So she commits perjury under oath to a state officer and then tries to claim confidentiality related to her perjury and my children’s health insurance.Ms feeman then was required by the state officer to provide csea records to prove her claims. She provided them, and shockingly, the records irrefutably prove she committed perjury.What do you think the county will do with their employee who committed perjury and lied under oath to a state hearing officer? Do you think the county csea will now stop trying to illegally collect child support when no order exists? Hahahahaha. This office is corrupt and is a criminal enterprise who operates outside of the law. They should all be charged with crimes against the public.

The woman that handled my case was rude to me and said well he only works part time so I shouldnt expect more than 5$ a month in child support. This system is a joke

This place is a joke. They dont help anyone, they get their money either way. I have 2 kids with my ex and theres been times he only paid a few cents and they said they couldnt do anything because he is making an effort. I have 2 kids with him and hes over $40,000 behind total for my kids and I keep being told they cant do anything. His most recent payment was February 23rd, he paid $60, and theyre telling me they have to give him 90 days to make the next payment, even though there is an active court order for around $250 a month. He never makes the amount that was ordered so he is continuously getting further behind. It has been like this since 2002 and my kids are now 18 and 15. The excuses they come up with are ridiculous.

Cbild support is a joke! They are lazy and dont give two sh*ts rubbed together about helping you. My case worker literally told me to stop calling her. Its sad they let deadbeat parents walk away without having to be responsible for anything.

I got set at 360 a month for one kid while working a 9 dollar and hour job. and i have to pay over 400 dollars just to file papers to figure out visitation. Im also the one that filed.

I would have elected zero stars but that is not an option. I normally do not give reviews but this one is well over due. My daughter is currently 7 years old, yes 7, and Summit County has done absolutely nothing to establish paternity, let alone receive child support payments. I have provided the agency, time and time again, my daughters fathers contact info and all they do is send postals thru the mail which does NOTHING. It has been 7 years and obviously sending letters in the mail does NOT work. It is pathetic with todays technology, the agency does not fully utilize other options to establish paternity and institute support. I am proud to be a resident of Summit County, Ohio but am disgusted with the agencys lack of service.

I just won a workers compensation case! Thank God because the injury prevented me from working and now I can pay off my child support debt of $1500. Unfortunately my daughter lives in a SEC 8 house with a needle junkie live in step-dad and that money will be wasted on tattoos and Suboxone. I thought full-time welfare moms werent allowed to have junkies living in the home full-time. Hes (Michael Grand) about to be living like a king!

I have never talked to anybody rude. I always get the answers that I am looking for. If you are not getting the support you deserve, file contempt of court against the father. Well my kids father is getting ssd and I literally, no joke get child support, and a social security benefit for the child as well. If the father gets social security you can call them and see if your child is eligible. I believe it has to be the one where he has worked and earned ss benefits not just he has been getting ssi for 20 years. Child support told me to try this. I get child support and social security. I get way better answers my emailing them versus calling. You have to literally do all the work fir them but, if you do, you get results and money. These deadbeat dudes think they are slick. Show them you will not rest until you get your money. Trust me. I get ALOT but, it took investigative skills on my part. The CSEA is not going to do anything unless you push them, js.

My husband pays child support in wayne county.. And my ex pays for our kids in summit... Summit is never on top of stuff like wayne county is. Its like they dont care...

Ive been trying to close my case against my boyfriend for 5 months and they still havent closed it. We cant pay any of our bills on time because they literally take his entire paycheck.
