So I will have to say that this place was huge and finding the pick up area was a little different. Having said that I will say we had a tragedy in our family and they were kind enough to make special arrangements for my pick-up order. I was grateful for their kindness and understanding.At the pick-up station everything was pretty quick, everyone was friendly and helpful, checked my ID to verify, loaded everything up and made sure the package was secure for me to transport. If you are looking for a freight company with integrity and that will take care of your shipment here in Akron. Look no further!!

Excellent job and place

If i could i would select a quarter of a star. These people are terrible. Ordered a part for my lawn mower to ship to my home. Was told by YRC that I would need to be home to help driver unload. I took the day off and told YRC to have driver contact me for specific directions to my driveway. There Dispatch calls me and says driver is 1 stop out and will be arriving shortly. I tell them that the road is under construction and he needs to come in a certain way. He tells me ok hell relay to the driver. 25 minutes later I get a call back. The driver is refusing to turn down my street which is a truck route and has truck traffic all day, and before you say how does he know what a truck route is I have 16 years experience driving semis.They tell me for additional fee I can have it sent out on a smaller lift gate trailer tomorrow. Or I can come meet the driver down the road and take the freight off his trailer. 1 I used my last personal day for this I cant loose another day of work and 2 I dont have a truck to get a 180lbs skid back to my house. Thats what they were contracted to do. When I talked with there customer service people I was treated like my freight didnt matter and that they were doing me a favor. All they kept trying to do was get more $ out of my pocket. This is a terrible company with horrible customer service. I will now be waiting an extra week for my parts while a freight rescue is done and my order is transferred to another smaller trucking company with 2 people in the truck and a lift gate to deliver it properly.

Need better management

Ordered a desk from Amazon, and the seller used this carrier. Before the estimated delivery date had even arrived, they left me a notice to call them and shipped it back, before I was even able to call them. If the seller had used UPS or FedEx, I would have my computer desk right now. The customer is not the priority of YRC Freight.

Not good for on-time delivery

Not a public place, extremely slow to get freight loaded and moving. On time delivery doesnt seem to be a concern for this company

These places do not like outside carriers. Gotta love those union folks. NOT.

I ordered a product from Homedepot to ship from YRC. This product was noted that a rep would contact me to arrange a person to sign for the package, the product should have arrived on a Monday and did not. I called on Tuesday and was told that it would arrive on Wednesday and it did not, after i waited ALL day for it! i called again and was told that one of my packages was misplaced and someone would contact me, again they DID NOT! Finally i called on friday for YRC to tell me that they do not know where my package is and some one would call me (third time they said that with no call). I work in manufacturing and the tradeshow industry and will make sure i NEVER USE YRC!!! horrible service and incompetence.
