Unfortunately, I am incredibly dissatisfied. Dr. McMenamin was curt, almost to the point of being outright rude. He refused to even listen or consider my input on the causes of the polyps on my vocal cords. He has continuously insisted and refuses to even entertain the idea that my polyps might have been caused by my extensive overuse of my voice.Hes told me both visits that it can only be acid reflux making my throat red and raw looking when I went for my appointments.Ive been trying to get surgery to have these polyps removed do I can get my voice back. But, McMenamin just wont even listen to anything I had to say. He repeated several times that if you let me talk, then Ill let you talk.My pardon? Are you seriously telling me that I dont get to have any kind of say in how I am treated or how I might prefer to have my issue resolved??I left that office in absolute tears both times because he wouldnt even let me say anything at all.Id rather sound like a freaking chainsaw with barbed wire wrapped around my throat than to go back there one more time and be made to feel so bad that I want to die.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I did not go to a ear, nose and throat specialist to get lectured on democratic policy. When I said I did not want to hear and that was not what I there for I was told okay then I will take you out of the system. What a joke of a place.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. I was thoroughly impressed with my experience at Aiken ENT. Office and waiting room were immaculately clean and updated. All office staff were helpful and friendly. I was then seen by Dr. Esselman, who is the example of what all physicians should strive to be like. He was friendly, first introducing himself and welcoming me to the practice. Then he asked me about my symptoms, taking notes on a notepad in front of me. He took time to thoroughly educate me about my mild condition and abate some of my anxiety. He performed a scope which was painless. He took time to explain anatomy while I watched on the screen. In all my life, it was the most pleasant experience with a physician.

I pretty much wasted my time coming here unless you have major symptoms you will get treated correctly. Salt water is not the cure to everything. Will now have to seek other options to figure out whats really wrong with me and i know its not in my head.

The new office is spacious, has convenient parking area, easy in and out. The front office is nice, check in is easy and the assistants are very friendly. The restoom is always clean and well stocked. The nurses are attenative and professional. It has never been difficult getting an appointment, even if Dr.Mac happens to not be in, his partners will see us. We have been seeing Dr. Mac for many years. He and partners have always been dedicated to giving us the best of care. I really appreciate how he goes over all details and he makes sure we understand. Dr. Macs knowledge and compassion is great. He follows through and treats us, I believe, like he would his own.

Please do not take children to the Aiken ENT office. The doctor both of my children (ages 4-5) saw argued with their pediatrician every step of the way. He refused to say my children had ear infections because the pediatrician said they had them. He kept repeating to me that he has been in this profession for a long time, he has better equipment and is better at judging if a child has an ear infection. It was like he needed to repeat this to me to remind me he was better than their pediatrician. The front office staff generally looks more agitated at having to do their jobs than wanting to help. The term resting b**** face is apparent in most of the front office staff. The nurses however are very sweet in the back and do not get the credit I believe they are due because they are overshadowed by the negative. Two days before my child was supposed to have tubes put in her ears the doctor canceled the surgery because jer ears had cleared up from the recent antibiotic she was on. Her issue was she would clear up one week after the round of any antibiotics and then the very next week get double ear infections again. She had this problem begin in October of last year and it has been an ongoing issue. She has been on 4-5 different antibiotics not to mention the allergy problems she has to deal with while going through it. They did not ask for payment at any time in any visits prior to this date. However on the visit two days before the surgery they had me prepay 800 dollars, and still did not mention any balance to my account. I had not received any bills from their office in Aiken or Augusta either. When he canceled the surgery and we went to check out they advised they could not refund the payment I had made just an hour before. The office staff advised they would call first thing the next morning but I waited over half the business day and heard nothing. I called the billing department in Augusta myself and they finally called me back after 2 or 3 hours. They advised me that I had a 400+ balance on the account and that they could not refund my surgery deposit because of the appointment from the previous day. They advised I had to pay off the balance completely before returning any money to me. They then advised it would take weeks for the insurance company to get back to them before knowing how much money to give back, then another few weeks before the return department (which is the same as the billing department per the employee) can give any money back. I called constantly this past week to move things along and although they magically got the check now ready the doctor has to sign off on it because per the employee I paid at the office of the doctor so the checks all have to be signed by the doctor, and that only happens once a week, and Im (the employee) am not sure what day that is. The excuses are unreal and do not add up. Ive talked to several people who work with insurance companies in health care fields and they have all agreed that this company is bordering on insurance fraud.

I had an appointment around spring this year 2018. Concerning my broken nose, unfortunately I had bad service the wait time was longer then usual and the Dr. Lady was rude and wasnt of much help she seemed money hungry. When I asked if the treatment was neccessary she said no. So why would she recommend treatment! Im a nice type guy who believes in good customer service for everyone. I had to come back to rate and leave comment I dont recommend this Lady Dr. Sorry I forgot her name. The one star was to only rate.
