My husband and I have been bringing our cars to Automotive Workbench for about 3 years now, and we cant think of enough great things to say about these guys! Their professionalism and genuine care for the well being of their customers is unparalleled. My most recent example of this was the multiple ball-joint failures I had on my car. They had replaced the entire suspension system on my car, including the front ball joints (it was a very large job). Shortly after the repair one of the ball joints popped out and left me stranded. Fortunately I was close to the shop. I called them up, and they promptly towed the car to their shop (right around their closing time if Im not mistaken), and they had it fixed and ready for pickup early the next morning, free of charge. About a week later, I had the same ball joint fail again, leaving me stranded again. Same thing, they towed it back and profusely apologized for what was happening with the car. At this point, the owner started investigating why this same part failed twice. After ruling out faulty installation, they figured it must have been manufacturer defects in the replacement parts. They diligently ensured that the next replacement was free of the defects and rigorously checked and tested everything before we got the car back (free of charge once again). After the repair, the owner continued to research the issue to try and trace the source of the problem. They even had us come back in after a few weeks to closely check the car and see that all the ball joints and suspension parts were still holding up (once again, free of charge). At every step of this process, we were invited into the shop to see our car and for them to point out and explain everything that was happening and what they were doing to resolve it. The owner kept in contact with us about researching the issue after the repair to ensure we were satisfied. Our car has now been working just fine for months with no issues.Automotive Workbench has repeatedly demonstrated integrity, transparency, professionalism, and unwavering commitment to our satisfaction and well being. Theyve performed many services on our cars and demonstrated proficiency in all of it; small stuff like oil changes and A/C repair, and big stuff like head gasket replacement and suspension/steering repairs. We highly recommend that you bring your vehicles to them, they will take great care of you.

Worst experience in 40+ years of dealing with a car repair business. The manager was rude and condescending. 4 trips and close to $1000.00 later the the check engine light is back on 4 days after the repair. Stay far away from this business and yes they came highly recommended but my experience was not worth one star.

I have a v6 the code that came up has been there ever since I drove across the country. It was mainly an ignition problem. Which noone clearly checked! 110 to put it on a diagnostic. Brought it to another shop they did it for free told me it was the 02 sensor... Not replace my motor. I did so and its fine...

Automotive Workbench has always done a good job for all of my familys cars. They are conscientious, call us when repairs are out of the ordinary, itemize any quotes we ask for, do good work, and treat us fairly. My wife and I have been trading with them for quite a few years now and we have not had a bad experience.

They didnt repair my AC and they charge me to install parts and it never worked ...

I had the company to come and get my late husbands truck and see what was wrong with it. I called and said call me before you fix it...that never happened. They left a voicemail to call later and I did they, said the charge is $810. The next day they called and notified that the charge was up $300 more but the price came down after a double charge was adjusted. Im not a rich woman, I work for a living. this has set me back 6 months work. I pray that these garages quit taking advantage of women and quit taking them lightly. I pray the garage will realize what they have done to a widow. I know the world is in a bad shape, but i didnt need to know what jerks there are in this world.

My car broke down in Augusta. Fortunately, I was able to get it to Brians fine folks. Holly determined I needed the gear shifter bushing replaced. This is my only car, and I expected to be out of a vehicle for a day or two. I was elated that Holly got me back on the road in about 1 1/2 hours! I cant say enough about their excellent customer service.

Took my car in for transmission knocking and electrical problems exhaust and alternator ford claimed they fixed for over 2k and did nothing. They fixed in 24 hours for an amazing price! Will be returning for all work.

Man. What to say here. I recently had my car transported over from the West Coast. Immediate upon arrival, I had to replace the alternator (with another shop). Then, upon getting car back, noticed a very strange noise coming from under car. Upon researching a little, seemed like I had a wheel bearing issue (which, clearly wasnt amused given I had literally just gotten it out of the shop 48 hrs prior). Called around to a few places before reaching these guys (most shops had 2-5 day lead times).Automotive Workshop were not only polite and helpful over the phone, but they informed me that they had just received a cancellation and if I could get car to them by end of the day (this was at 3:30 mind you), they may be able to get it back to me that afternoon. I took the car in, they immediately inspected it as I waited, and confirmed the bearing would need to be replaced, but they probably wouldnt be able to turn it around until first thing the next morning (mind you, I was 1000% ok with that given the quotes from other shops).After telling giving me that information, and without prompting, the manager volunteered to give me a ride back to my house. Given this is COVID time and no cabs / Ubers are on the road, you can imagine the relief that provided (it was going to be a 4+ mile walk home). Once he dropped me off, he also offered to pick me up again in the am once the car was ready. And, like that, after only 3 or so of working hours in the shop, I had my car placed for repair, been given a generous ride home, had car promptly fixed, and was picked up at my home to go retrieve automobile and settle up (for a extremely reasonable price).When I say this was the most painless / pleasant car repair experience Ive ever had, I mean it was actually a joy to have met people who still care about what they do (and the customer service piece of that puzzle that goes along with it). I CANNOT RECOMMEND THESE GUYS ENOUGH. I absolutely will not take my car anywhere else in the Aiken area from here on.Bravo guys. Someone should make you the case study of how to get things done in this industry. Appreciate it!

I called about an Oil leak and the problem was diagnosed quickly. They fixed the car equally as fast and were overall a pleasure to work with. I feel I paid a fair price and will surely be back. Thanks again.

Brian and his team have taken care of my cars for 30 years. Occasionally, I have gone to the dealer. They just want to sell you a new car. Brian and his team want to keep you in yours. Courteous, fast, and at a reasonable price. I cant ask for more.

I feel so blessed having found Automotive Work Bench. I learned through the years not to trust many businesses and was really tired of feeling like no matter what I would be ripped off. Then my son found Automotive Work Bench and suggested I go there. These guys thoroughly explained everything and really spent a long time with me. They showed me how to find out what would need to be done and at what time for my warranty. My church friends told me that the owner was a good Christian man and someone I could trust. That very much mattered to me. They gave me an estimate and even came in under what they quoted. The feelings of trust for me with this place felt like how it used to be many years ago when good work was done for you and you knew you could trust the guys doing it. Now I will not take my car anywhere else but Automotive Work Bench. Plus, I dont have to drive to Augusta! They are right here close by in Aiken.

We are so happy we found Automotive Workbench! First, they fixed an electrical problem with our 2007 Jeep Compass that was effecting the turn-signals. Then, they fixed a slow leak in one of the tires that had been plaguing us for years! These are both problems that had been looked at by a number of other mechanics, including a Jeep dealer, who could not fix the leak and who said the turn-signal problem alone would cost over $800 to fix. Automotive Workbench fixed both problems for under $300! Its one of lifes great satisfactions and comforts to find a great mechanic you trust and we feel weve found one in Automotive Workbench!

After experiencing unsatisfactory service from another local shop, I was referred by a friend to Automotive Workbench. Each time I have been in for routine service or to diagnose an issue, the work has been completed correctly and promptly. My visit 2 days ago was typical of my usual experience. The work was performed well before it was promised and the price was fair. I will continue to bring my vehicle to AW.

Automotive Workbench did a great job of installing a new clutch on my Hyundai. They worked extremely quickly on a long and arduous job. My car now runs like new. Highly recommended!

This was my first encounter with Automotive Workbench, and it was to fix the AC in my 93 Civic. My AC had been broken for quite some time and had been serviced by several other people in the past, with no long term success. I made an appointment with Automotive Workbench and it took a total of two hours to fix my AC from start to finish. If Im not mistaken, I believe it was the owner that scheduled my appointment and serviced my car. He was very friendly and informative, giving me frequent updates throughout the process of fixing the AC and telling me what he was finding wrong with it. He took great care and attention to detail, running the car long enough to ensure that the AC was working and would stay working before sending me on my way. He even manged to fix some erroneous repairs made by the previous people that serviced my AC. Everyone in the shop had an overall sense of urgency in their work. I can confidently recommend this shop to anyone, and I will happily be returning here again in the future.

Unfortunately, after trying for several days, they couldnt replicate the issue. The charge to diagnose was very reasonable. If trouble happens again, will likely go back.

Friend recommended this place after getting tired of REALLY lousy service at Jordans. Bought a used truck and let AWB know that I was told AC wasnt working well due to a clogged filter. They let me know they would give it a go but that it was possible it might not be a permanent fix if the debris was due to the compressor. Had it a couple of months and it is icy cold now. Even if it doesnt last pretty darn happy with the service. I normally do most of my vehicle maintenance but this will be my go to place otherwise.

They do a good job on fixing your car a little bit pricey on labor but they do good work.

I was visiting family from out of town. My Jeep Wrangler broke down and I brought it to Automotive Workbench because of all the rave reviews. When it came to fixing my Jeep, there were problems from the start. The head mechanic acted like the Jeep Wrangler was a new model that he had never seen. He constantly talked down about the vehicle and boasted about the quality of his 15 year old Ford Ranger.I was 10 hours from home and needed to get back to work desperately. This was expressed to them at the beginning. I would sometimes not hear back from them for over a week. I was constantly having to call and get an update due to the lack of interest shown about my vehicle.Finally, one months later....the oil was changed in my Jeep and they rotated my tires.Do not trust!!!!!!!!
