I take everything here, from dresses to hem and alter to patches on jeans and overalls. She does an amazing job and is fast! Would highly recommend.

Definitely inconsistent prices. One price one day, another the next. The owner is beyond rude and rarely thanks you. So disorganized too. Sometimes she writes things down, usually not. You never get a receipt. Clothes all over the place. You ask her to do something and when you pick up your item, its not done. She tells you to pick up one day and when you do, its not ready. She may say to come back in10 minutes so you know youre not going to get a quality job. The owner is always in a bad mood. Never greets you when you come in, has such a sour personality, terrible businessperson. She has lost all of my business as well as my husbands and Ive also informed the people I know that use her not to give her any business as well. There are plenty of alterations places in the area who appreciate the business and are gracious business owners.

These folks do good work, but there is a language barrier. They also let themselves get arguably overbooked. I came at the agreed upon pickup time, and they had yet to start on my clothes. However, the job was done well enough that I tipped anyway.

Inconsistent prices!!! I have been to this place numerous times because it is close to home and have heard they perform quality work. The quality is sometimes there but the customer service is not! I guess we should not expect customer service from an alterations place??? Bottom line I dropped of 2 pairs of dress slacks to be shortened and taken in on the legs for a more narrow fit. I also asked them to add belt loops to one of the pairs and she quoted me $48 total. I was fine with that and picked up the pants a few days later. Then I brought them an identical pair of pants and had them shorted, tailored in, and belt loops and they charged me $46 for one pair?! When I called to speak with the lady that works there she was very rude to me and talked over me. She told me if I could find a place that would do belt loops for less than $20 that she would give me $100. Guess what? I made one phone call to a shop in thousand oaks and they quoted me $10 for belt loops. The lady at Fine alterations originally quoted me $12 for a hem, $14 for tailoring the legs in, and $7 for belt loops. But when I spoke with her today she wanted $12 for hem, $14 for tailoring the legs in, and $20 for belt loops. The thing is if she would have just been up front about the pricing I would have made the decision whether or not the loops were worth it. They would have still had my business. Or since she wasnt upfront about the pricing I would have expected her to absorb the cost this one time as a customer service gesture and then I would have continued to you use them. However, now they will not have my business. Oh, well. Best part of it all is one of the hems just came out of one of those pairs and now I get to go to a new place and pay a second time for a hem. The comments below are true too...communication is tough but mostly because she just spoke over me the whole time.

I have had zippers added and prom dresses hemmed and skirts shortened and everything has been done on time even when I only gave them 2 days notice. The prices always seem reasonable for the work they do.

Worst experience ever. We brought in a prom dress to be altered and she waited until the last minute, charged us $50, and wouldnt take the time to make the dress fit perfectly. She is extremely disorganized and unfriendly. Go anywhere but here.
