The employees were super friendly when we had to bring the dog in for a bath; he got sprayed by a skunk and doesnt like other dogs which makes it hard. Not only did they provide a private bathing room, they gave us four diff washes which worked amazing. Thanks for great customer service !

We went in yesterday in a frazzle because my shepherd was skunked. The gentleman who helped us was awesome! He directed us to the best products to buy for the situation. My dog is a difficult one around others so he set us up in the private bath. Between the soaps they provided and the chemicals he suggested you cant even tell my dog took a direct hit from the skunk. We made a mess in that room with my dog making it all wet trying to escape. We offered to clean it but they said no problem we will take care of it. I am very impressed by everyone we interacted with. Thanks Daves!

Went for the first time today just to look around, and I got some sweet potato fries treats for my hamster. He loves them, and this is the first time Ive seen these treats anywhere. Great selection and very fair prices for small rodent toys, chews, and treats and I thought the atmosphere was nice as well.

Came to try out the dog wash and I gotta say it was so disappointing, first you walk in and there is chemicals from.cleaning just left in the tubs , then when they say they supply shampoo its Lie they supple small Dixie cups of water literally water its pathetic and if u ask for fearless you get another water cup then the hose was broken and barley any water pressure .. for 15 dollars find another dog wash..

I love Daves! The people working here are a soulful bunch who love animals. The young woman who cares for the guinea pigs is esp. charming, knowledgeable, and friendly.Whenever I visit, Im heartened and impressed. Ive seen clean cages, full water bottles/food bowls, and thoughtful toys to occupy critters curiosity. The TLC lavished upon the animals leaves my heart happy.

Been in here a coupleOf times, changing $100 for a budgie is very pricey but okay. I went in to look at some betas the lady is nice and it seems like she’s the only one that really cleans around and cares for the animals. I was upset to see that someone had stolen dog food, but me being compassionate I would assume that someone’s making a sacrifice or needing to feed their animals during hard times. I don’t condemn them stealing, but to purse it as far as having it on the news is like :/ I wish I could offer to pay it off. But other then that I understand he’s in the wrong. Their animals are just very over priced and not in the best loving conditions.

Been going to Daves for my cat and bird food for years now and have been happy. Bought my usual bag of Economy Bird Feed today as I usually do only to get it home to find it FULL of bugs/mites. Disgusting. $13 in the trash. So disappointed. Will now go to your competition on Memorial Dr.

The Agawam store is absolutely horrendous! Not clean at all, not allowed to use cash, Ive had employees throw stuff at me at this store because they were in a bad mood. Their employees are not wearing masks, but claim they insist they keep their employees safe when they dont care AT ALL about the customers health.GO AT YOUR OWN RIST! Not worth your health, believe me

Love this local business. They have the best of both worlds. Small business customer service, with conveniences and prices of a large business.They have very knowledgeable staff, who I actually feel like I can trust, and there is always someone in the aisles available to help you if you should need it. They price match online websites, and offer a loyalty program with coupons, rewards, and promotions. They carry the better quality, harder to find brands of dog and cat food and are never out of stock.Just all around a wonderful store. Clean, friendly, and convenient.

I was in store today looking for bird cage. In which someone asked if I needed help. Once Ive told what I wanted in which we have purchased it prior. Employee stated did you even buy it here. Um if Im going back and want a specific cage of course Ive purchased it there. She had a bad attitude. My whole family and myself have been going to Daves for many many years. Ive never experienced this. I will no longer be going to this place. So disappointed.

The quality of the fish is very poor. One step up from Walmart in my opinion. I used to love this place as a kid. They’ve gone downhill over the years.

I was happy with Daves cat food but recently opened one, fed it to my cat and then found a two inch fish bone. Thank God he didnt try to eat it. I know its made in Thailand but that is dangerous and unacceptable

This is my go-to pet store. I feel as though most of the items are priced better than some of the national chains. Lots of quality pet products. And they have soft drinks on sale too in bulk

They are the only pet food distributor that has bland diet. My Bella its all she can eat.I buy case or 2 of canned. And 20lbs bag of dry. I have to buy in bulk cause Im unable drive I upset Daves in Springfield closed..

Not only is this a great place to buy pet supplies, but this place is not one of those big chains, is locally owned, and the OWNER IS A GREAT GUY. Sincere, and VERY helpful - rare these days. (No, Im not related!) He takes pride in hiring really nice and good people.

My first time in the store was tonight. Had some problems with our fish tank. It was 10 minutes before the store closed. The people working tonight could not have been nicer. A young man explained to me what I needed to do to remedy my tank problem. Thank you young man. Dave good staff you have in your Agawam store.

Excellent selection of pet foods and products. They also provide DIY dog baths with dryers. The staff is pleasant and helpful and several are quite knowledgeable about the different foods they carry.

As a pet mom to various species, the local pet stores are one of my regular shopping trips. This Daves has BY FAR the best setup/care for their aquarium fish, and even the bettas, which many places seem to struggle with, were all in pristine water and looked healthy. The male employee working there is fantastic. Hes always friendly and willing to help and answer questions, and he showed/explained their whole filtration/sump setup since we were discussing how to run multiple tanks with minimum work during maintenance. I love how they have signs saying goldfish cannot live in small bowls, and the employees can actually explain how a nitrogen cycle works. The sale prices are awesome are cant be beat by any other local or chain pet shop, and when my senior cats food or the Seachem aquarium series water conditioners go on sale I make sure to stock up. Their smaller animals and birds also look incredibly well cared for, and the employees are always helpful and friendly.

I have been shopping at Daves for a decade or so now. I have always experienced a family friendly environment where the employees go above and beyond to help you feel right at home while shopping with your pets (YES THATS RIGHT YOU CAN BRING YOUR PET SHOPPING WITH YOU AT DAVES AND ITS AWESOME) for anything and everything you may need for your pet... and soda. Daves also has drinks... many different kinds of sodas and other drinks for sale as well. So at Daves you can find anything from hissing cockroaches and furry tarantulas to many different species of beautiful regular and saltwater fish and a nice variety of reptiles like corn snakes or bearded dragons as well as chameleons and many other lizards to choose from . They also have different species of beautiful birds and cute small mammals like gerbils,mice,rats,hamsters and guenie pigs you can purchase.Overall Daves is a 5 out of 5 for me and Im sure youll find a similar experience when you bring your pet shopping with you.(My sugar glider is the talk of the store when we go shopping at daves lol)Customer service. 5 out of 5Friendly environment. 5 out of 5Quality products(pets/pet food and goods). 5 out of 5

Went there to buy Agways step 3 and 4 fertilizer for my lawn, previously I had bought two bags each of steps 1 and 2 and received the discounted price that was a special for buying a single bag of each step. I was rung up this time and did not receive the discounted price, obviously I protested and told them i had received the discount before. The cashier called a front end manager who also refused and so I left. What baffles me is that the bags are all the same price so whats the difference? Either way Daves youve lost a loyal 8 year Daves Club member over $40. Ive literally spent thousands at Daves and will never return. Youve now lost thousands of more dollars in future sales from myself over $40. Bad job Daves.

Horrified that some are so childish to not go to your store due to a photo op- makes me want to visit your store all the more! DO NOT Apologize and lower yourself to the standards of your non loyal customers that are so ignorant that they let politics get in the way of your business. Sad. My husband and I purchased pond plants and a lawn ornament. We also asked to purchase butterfly koi. Even though you didnt have any she was helpful in letting us know to call and put in an order.

I bought a Collar(Surgery kind) and it didnt work with my dog at all...! I was glad I could return it for a full refund..Just waiting for it to go back on my debit card..the only reason why I am not giving it 5 stars is because I find the prices higher there than other pet place!

The store itself is clean and the people are very friendly. As well they are helpful. But the dog trainer sessions needs to improve on communication.

Attendant was very nice. She sold us a Guinea pig, and she had plenty acknowledge about the guinea pigs and help us with instructions about how to take care of them.

Tired of getting scammed here!! EVERY time I go there for Dog food or Cat food, the price is different than the price marked on the shelf. And I always get some story. I believe it is company policy to deceive the public. Had been a customer for 30 years and finally just really got tired of it. It was happening almost every time I was there. , probably was purchasing twice a month.

Horrible. Went in and shopped and they refused to accept cash for my payment. This is illegal in Massachusetts as dictated by the attorney general. I will never be back.

Great place for pet supplys awful with the soda selection.. we bought two snapples from them and both were expired. We dont even want to drink the averys sodas we bought because theres no expiration date on them. Disappointed.

Ive been to Daves they have good prices for certain fish like the long fin bettafish for 5$ as for the plakat fighter type I asked if matt can get in I thaught the price would be at least 13$ or 10$ but he made them 70$,80$ even 100$ so I stopped buying those types from him I buy them now from pet supplies or Petco and recently I got a secret male fighter plakat bettafish his name is (King Jeti) and soon I will be getting his queen I cant wait till the babies come they will be born 20* MUHAMMAD ALI STYLE FIGHTERS. The guy who makes high prices at Daves Is fish manager Matt thats why I dont ask him to order any fighter bettafish for me anymore.
