Terrible service would never recommend this moving company to anyone.To book the move the owner came over and was super sweet.The day of booking we had only one experienced mover with 2 trainees.They were supposed to finish in 8 hrs but took 12 hrs and we were ok. There were a lot of furniture and stuff left out but no truck was provided as backup which was promised.We had no choice but to request friends to store the furniture.We had to uhaul at our expenses.After the delivery was provided we saw that the bookshelves were damaged and the recliner was damaged .The movers were aware of the damage and asked to file a claim for insurance.No one from the company came to see the damage and evaluate.They kept pushing the days to come and inspect.And the end they never came to inspect.After 2months of constant follow up we received a check which was a biggest joke ever.We got $36 which was not even the tip for each mover.Ridiculous never go with j&p moversjoke ever.

This was the absolute worst moving company I have ever experienced!!!!! The person who referred us was a semi professional and to my surprised did not include the details of breakage and damage!!! They damage my wooden jewelry box! Our wooden TV stand,,, and a ancient marble end Table,,,

I drive a speed limited vehicle that does not allow me to surpass 65 mph. Rather than passing me on the left like any normal person...an associate of this company tailgated me for a solid 5 minutes getting right on my bumper. When they finally got sick of going the speed limit the sped past me honked their horn and flicked me the bird. Might want to think twice about the way you treat people on the road when your representing your company.

DO NOT I repeat DO NOT request services from this company. My family moved a few weeks ago, and the workers were more than 3 hours late to move us. Not only were they late but several damages occurred during the moving process. Workers all received tips after their work even after they damaged furniture and damaged the door on my new apartment (the building property will be moving forward with their own lawsuit). The workers did not move all boxes into my apartment. I am missing SEVERAL items that were packed on the truck. I called Bonnie T. and informed her of these issues and she stated that “the workers would never do this”. I am a customer and it is a damn shame that I could not make a complaint when I have several witnesses of this occurrence. I have had services before from this company BUT there were good workers that were older with more experience. This was not a good moving process and if I could help anyone in the future I would. Please watch your items and please make sure this is taken seriously if it does happen.Please go to a different moving company that is more reliable even if you are paying a bit more. Better safe than sorry. Especially if you are going to have items stolen, it is not worth it at all.

I highly recommend J & P movers. When you call ask for Bonnie she is awesome. I changed my move date because of closing issues at least 4 times and each time Bonnie went out of her way to make this work for me. I got Anthony and his crew and they were very courteous and professional. The move was estimated at 7 hrs, they got done in 5 1/2. Nothing broken nothing scratched and nothing missing. they wrapped and handled all my furniture as if it was theirs. They were on time and on point.. Thumbs up....

10/10! The support staff were friendly and prompt when responding to emails. The movers were excellent over the course of the whole move. It started with a call prior to departing the storage facility with an estimated arrival time great for planning out my day. Once they arrived no time was wasted and my furniture was promptly placed in the varies rooms of my new apartment. Upon placing the furniture, they remove any protective wrapping and assembled the furniture that had been dismantled for easy shipment. Overall outstanding fast work will use again.

Anthony and crew were on time and very professional. Got our move done with no damage and faster than I expected. Would have gotten 5 stars but they left a small part on the truck and took 2 days to get it. I guess no one is perfect.

These guys are detailed, efficient and quick, I only wish I found them sooner.Everything that was not boxed was wrapped quickly and all of my furniture and fragile items were handled without a scratch. They worked hard to make my move as quick and seamless as possible. They also accommodated my last minute request to bring an additional appliance down 3 flights of stairs with no complaints.Thanks to J&P my move was stress free and I highly recommend them for your future moving needs.

Great company to work with - the office staff as well as the musclemen were all extremely professional, respectful, and efficient. Prices were better than 4 other movers we obtained estimates from. Our furniture was well wrapped, packed onto the truck, and unloaded at the destination. We will definitely hire J & P again and recommend them to anyone.

Received Matts name from Chattel Changers as an affordable and reliable mover. Affordable is correct, reliable? Not at all. Booked Matt for two moves, one to Chattel Changers and one to storage. Matt was supposed to show up at 12pm for the Chattel Changers move, texted to say he was running late due to an issue with his previous move. Fine. After two hours we say that we cant reschedule due to child care and then never hear from Matt again. He did not show up at all for the Chattel Changers move or even reply to texts or calls from us asking if he would show up for the personal move (which he didnt.)So I cant recommend enough to go with a full, reliable moving company even if it costs more. Because you dont save anything here.

J&P did a great job with my move and were helpful from start to finish. The move went very smoothly and the guys did a great job. Rates were very affordable too. Will use them again and recommend J&P Moving to others.

J&P Moving will definitely be the company I will call next time I move and also to recommend them to anyone that is moving. They were very professional, friendly and helpful. They set up my furniture in the new home an moved it again when I wanted it somewhere else. Great guys and great company.

Really impress with J&P. I purchased a high-end washer and dryer set on Craigslist and hired these guys to deliver it. Super professional and competent. They took great care to protect the machines and my home. It was a difficult job: large heavy objects down a small, winding staircase. But they did it perfectly and without complaint. Then they even hooked it all up! I dont think Im ever moving again, but if I do Ill definitely hire this company.

2nd time weve used J & P to move in 15 months. We love their work and have and will continue to recommend them to friends, co-workers and family on their short or long haul moves. Both different crews/staff were personable, friendly, hard working and made sure to protect our items and old and new place from damage. These guys are good!

Absolutely recommend these guys for moving. Robbie is the iron man of moving. They were quick and professional. They made my moving experience simple and easy. Excellent staff and efficient service.

I called them today for them to take my huge old tv to a store. They came today while other companies said I would need an appointment and would have to wait three weeks. They called me back within 15 min and said they can come right away. They came, took my old heavy 53 inch tv from downstairs, loaded it onto their truck, drove to the store, and dropped it off. It was quick and easy, I didnt have to worry about anything. The three movers were really nice and professional. I highly recommend!

Great, Quick, ontime...finished early and charged me for only the time they were there. I was very impressed by the care and quickness of the move. I was in such a fluster about having to find someone in two days to move but J &P Moving definately exceeded my expectations. I would recommend them.

They guys were very quick and the price for a 2 hour job was unbeatable in the area.

A few weeks back we moved from Cary out to Marengo. We had a 2 man crew (Anthony & John). They were extremely fast and delicate. We had an afternoon appt with them and even though their first job ran long the guys still came out with out complaining about the late/long hours. The day we moved it was extremely hot out and even had some rain in the early evening. They made sure not to wake my sleeping infant and made sure not to track mud everywhere which I really appreciated. They were courteous and worked well as a team. I cant say how thankful I am. It made the move so much easier! Ill defaintly use J & P for all my future moves.

Deducting one star for late arrival but otherwise they did a great job and I wouldnt hesitate to use again or recommend to friends.

J&P Moving Services Inc. make the horrible task of moving bearable. Moving makes me want to gouge my eyes out and yet, it is something that must be done from time to time. It started out great from the beginning. I was referred to this company by a friend who has used them before and highly endorsed them. I called and spoke with Bonnie. She is knowledgeable, helpful and energetic. She explained the process, the timeline and after a LOT of questions got back to me by email (which I LOVED) with their estimate. About a week before the move I was sent an inventory list to help get a better idea of the size of the move. This list was more helpful for me than for them as I got a grip on what was ultimately moving, being sold, donated or discarded. When I took the inventory I found out I had approximately 200 boxes, I submitted it to J&P Moving Services Inc. and a few hours later I received a call from Bonnie. We talked about the items and our need for additional movers and a second truck than previously planned for. I am so glad that we talked because I think that is what made the move go well.MOVE DAY - The movers were scheduled to arrive between 9:30 and 10:00 AM. Brian the head mover, called to say they were on their way and arrived at 9:45 AM. Cool. Brian and his staff were professional and took a walk through the house, basement, yard and garage. I signed on the dotted line and the move began. Brian and his crew were insane! Brian was in the truck packing everything in with the ease of a Tetris gamer. The crew padded, wrapped and moved expensive dressers, tables, cabinets and armoires. They also padded and wrapped inexpensive furniture (Ikea and Target) in the same fashion. Nice. They lifted couches, tables, beds, frames, desks and dressers seamlessly and effortlessly. They worked hard from beginning to end. They maneuvered big pieces of furniture through questionable spaces without doubting their expertise. There was no cussing or profanity because they were professionals who knew what they were doing. I saw one of the guys stack a dresser on his back and down 2 flights of stairs like nothing. These guys are moving Sherpa’s! They took our beds apart and yep, you guessed it, put them back together in our new apartment. We were thankful for it that evening.Our move was BIG, moving from a house (basement, 2 floors, yard and garage) to a 2nd floor bi-level apartment. We had approximately 200 boxes, 4 very large and heavy mirrors, paintings, prints and flat screen TV’s. Everything arrived unscathed. Did I mention that the crew was professional, polite and efficient? They forecasted 5-8 hours for the move and completed it in 7 hours. The amount that was quoted is what we paid. We tipped the guys, thanked each of them individually and again in the evening when we crashed our weary bones down to sleep.I am impressed with the efficiency and attention to detail that they all demonstrated. I was worried that they were going to be tired, that the furniture would not fit out or in, that things would be broken, lost or scratched. I did not need to worry. Nothing was broken, nothing was damaged and it has been 4 days and we are still singing their praises with every box we open unharmed. J&P Moving Services Inc. is definitely a company I recommend and will use again.
