Review №1

A 1.5 hour long video conference call for their team to tell me ‘you have an eating disorder’, something I already knew - will cost your insurance company over $2,000, and you will be paying $850 out of pocket. Before my call I was told that all services rendered would cost just a $40 copay. Following our initial meeting I was recommended extensive lab work and an intensive outpatient therapy program. That seemed like an aggressive treatment plan to both me and my family after only a single 1.5 hour long call, so I sought a second opinion, received treatment elsewhere and have been recovered from my eating disorder since February. Now months later they come crawling back since I did not take their recommended treatment plan and are seeking almost $1,000 after a 1.5 hour long video conference call. Does almost $3,000 seem like a fair price for an hour and a half of time?I beg whoever is reading this review to take you or your loved ones elsewhere for treatment. Through years of counseling and therapy, this is by far the most financially predatory experience I have ever had.

First convo I had with them I gave them my insurance and asked to make sure I was fully covered. They said I was. Asked to see a therapist. First meeting, I talked to a therapist and surprisingly a dietician, answered an hours worth of obviously difficult/upsetting questions, spent hours filling out paperwork and questionnaires. Then was told the therapist would only see me if I regularity see the dietician and that my insurance only covers 3 dietician visits and everything after will be fully out of pocket. Over two weeks, I called and emailed Next Steps about 20 times trying to find out if I can see the therapist only since I can’t afford to pay out of pocket for the dietician and I was there for a therapist not a dietician anyways. I got a hold of someone ONE time who said they’d call me back with an answer. That was a week ago and no one ever called back. All other voicemails and emails are left unanswered including emails sent directly to the doctors themselves. Pretty amazing to be blown of by a therapist when so much of the depression I’m dealing with is a result of being blown off by people. Thanks so much Next Steps.
