I had my wife take our car to have the windshield replaced on 07/01/2021. Upon coming home and talking with her about the experience and inspecting our car, I was not impressed. Here is a list of what I noticed/ was told.1. My wife was told that there would be neon tape on after the installation and to keep the tape on for 2 hours- there was no tape.2. My wife couldnt find our state farm beacon when the installation was finished. She had to go back inside and ask the technician for it. They searched the car and found that it was under the seat- this should have been done prior to returning the car.3. The weather stripping around the windshield seems to be poorly installed. Im no expert in this, but the seams dont seem to be quality work- will it leak? Time will tell.4. This was the most frustrating for me. When I inspected the car that afternoon I noticed that the trim panel by the windshield wiper wasnt properly installed (it was sticking out), therefore I had to pop it back into place myself. Upon further investigation I found 2 crucial parts missing from the cowl (push fasteners). Without these in, the entire plastic trim that meets the windshield flexes- one would think this would be reinstalled correctly.5. Wiper blade installation prices are astronomical at $29 a side. Totaling $64.Overall, my expectations were higher of Safelite and it is obvious that the work done here is rushed and not one of quality. I would not come here again.

I was referred to Safelite Auto Glass in Wood Dale by my AllState agent for a small chip in my windshield.I dropped my keys in the box at 9:30 a.m. I was home by 10:30 a.m.!I received excellent customer service including frequent but not annoying emails and text messages which really put me at ease.I would definitely use Safelite Auto Glass in Wood Dale again and I highly recommend you do to should the need arise

My experience with Safelite was good. I had to wait 3 weeks due to shortage of Honda windshields, but otherwise all good. The work was done as promised, and on time. Cant ask for more than that.

Zack my technician was awesome! He was so nice and answered questions. Only complaint Is had to book a week out then the new window broke going in and had to wait another full week... Otherwise easy appointment set up and Zack was awesome.

Staff was very friendly and changed my windshield out with no issues.Update: It started raining about a week and a half after I got the windshield replaced and the rain sensing wipers dont function the same. They only move slowly and when the whole windshield is absolutely covered in raindrops already. Sent an email to their customer service team trying to get this resolved. After a week, still no response.Update 2: Took about a month to get a response from customer service, but they ultimately fixed my issue. The part itself wouldnt stick on properly and they replaced it. Will still reiterate that the shop staff was very friendly.

Albert was assigned to replace my windshield at my home. He called the morning of the appointment to tell me his arrival window, arrived within that timeframe, and replaced my windshield within an hour. He was very professional, explained how a rock had caused a 12 crack down the center of my windshield, and even reinstalled my iPass transponder. I highly recommend Safelite and especially Albert!

Story time:On Saturday, January 16th I went to this location to get my whole windshield replaced by Todd after having it damaged for over a year and a half. I was quoted originally when I made the appointment that it would take about an hour to an hour and a half to complete the repair. I received a call after only 30 minutes saying that my repair was done and to come pick up my car because they were going to be closing soon. Everything was good, paid my $300 and was sent on my way. There was no tape on my windshield like I was told there should be which I thought was odd. Fast forward to February 20th, as I was about to clean the snow off my car, I noticed that it looked like I had a water stream that froze over coming out of my drivers side door as I was opening my door I hear a crunch sounds and immediately got upset. The bottom corner of my drivers side door was bent outward because I had ice that completely froze up along the hinges of my door. As Im following the ice up I notice that the ice is coming out of by where my windshield is. I start to look at it and realize that what looks like the seal from the frame of my car to my windshield is bent and folded and there is a physical gap where I could almost fit my pinky finger in between where my windshield meets the rubber seal. So I called this location spoke to a very nice woman that told me that they could do a warranty repair and they could fix any damages that this could of caused. GREAT I was very happy to hear this so i made an appointment for today at 3. I got there 10 minutes earlier spoke to the woman at the front desk - not sure if it was the same woman I spoke to or not - but she asked where the problem was so I told her that the seal was messed up. She took my keys and I chose to wait for my car. After about 10 minutes, Todd came into the waiting lobby and asks if I could go to the back. As Im back there I explained to Todd what was wrong with my car. Now going back to what I said previously I told him that that is what I thought the problem was and noticed that this was pealed off my car and now sitting off my roof. He told me that it was a decoration and not the actual seal for the windshield. He then told me that my door which is what I was most upset over is caused by a multitude of different reasons but each one of them were not the cause and was told multiple times that my windshield and the seal were not the cause. Ive had my car for over 6 years, we have had worst winters here in Illinois then this one, water has never EVER leaked into my car like it has until I had this replaced. He made me feel like I didnt know what I was talking about and like he was very annoyed with the situation. I was told by the woman on the phone when I called that I explained earlier that any physical damages would be covered, never once was that brought up. Instead I was told multiple times that the cause was because the top right corner of my drivers side door does not lay flat against my door frame. I know this, my car was broken into 5 years ago and it hasnt laid flesh against it since then. Again this has never happened since having my windshield replaced. I was also there for almost an hour and a half, I would love to know why it took 30 minutes to take out and put in a new windshield but it took over an hour and a half to do the same thing? That does not make sense to me. All in all I was very disappointed by this experience, the woman on the phone gave me hope that my door and the seal problem would be resolved and taken care of but instead was met with false hope and what seemed like someone trying to fix their mistakes from a rushed job the first time.

On the 3rd try they finally had the right glass, the kind with a internal radio antenna. They didnt hook the antenna back up and now I have to wait a week for them to get back to it. They are using the virus as a reason to not answer their phone. You just get a recorded message and a hang up. Meanwhile Im listening to static.

Very courteous and professional. They had designated waiting areas that respected social distancing with coffee and refrigerated water. I read my book while waiting but they had TV and free wifi. My windshield had a big crack on the drivers side and a smaller crack on the right from a pebble. Now, its like a brand new car! Great customer service!

From my perspective the Safelight Lifetime Warranty is an absolute scam. Heres what drew me to this conclusion.January 2019 I commissioned Safelight to fill a crack in my windshield which was caused from normal driving. They completed the services and their technician made me aware of their Lifetime Warrant, meaning that any services they rendered they would repair in the event it failed. The main premise of my doing business with them was for this specific reason, it provided me a false sense of security which has since been upended.The adhesive they used for the original windshield repair began to fail, resulting in the windshield having a pit in it which in-turn destroyed the windshield wipers I had installed on the car. Rather than throwing money out of the window on a new set of wipers, I attempted (and exhausted) all their available contact methods. To begin, I went to the Safelight website to look up my account -- which they conveniently couldnt display to me as they make their transactions viewable for 6 months after servicing. In an attempt to locate my transaction history I sourced their customer service line, which again, conveniently, isnt being manned due to COVID-19. In lieu of them not having someone available to answer the phone, they provide both an email address and text line to send inquiries to. At this point I should have known this wasnt going to pan out in favor of the consumer, but nevertheless I had to get this fixed. I sent a text message to the listed number and an email to the provided email address on 09/14/20 -- 16 DAYS AGO. I have yet to hear from anyone regarding my warranty claim.Being that I was relocating from IL to FL, I had to get the windshield replaced because I no longer trust in the materials that Safelight uses to repair windshields. Being that I have waited this long to hear back from their customer service team, I didnt have time to find a different service provider to replace the windshield, meaning I had to fork over more money to this shoddy company. I have no invested $600 into my windshield (approx $200 for original repairs, $350 for replacement glass) and have yet to have any of my concerns even acknowledged. They send out a satisfaction survey upon completing services in which I indicated I couldnt be less satisfied with their services. The ultimate slap in the face is that upon completion of the survey, they ask if youd like to have someone contact you to discuss your dissatisfaction, which I indicated I wanted. Naturally, I clicked yes to this question -- to no ones surprise they have yet to respond back to that inquiry either.Ultimately I wish I would have supported a local business or gotten a second quote for original services because this whole process has been infuriating. AS A CONSUMER I would recommend taking your business quite literally anywhere else. Dont make the same mistake I did! I hope this review gets into the appropriate hands so we can come to a resolve but seeing as another person who left a review 2 MONTHS AGO never got a response, I am doubting theyll reach out to me. Horrible way to go about doing business!

Allstar came recommended by my insurance agency. Unfortunately, it rained all day and so the tech wasnt able to perform the work at my house, but I was able to meet him at a nearby shop instead. My tech, Bill, was super nice and had a new windshield and all calibrations done in no time. My ONLY complaint is that you sit on hold for a while whenever you call, but I guess that just shows how much business they actually get...and for good reason. Highly recommended.

Set the appointment in line, from 12pm to 5 pm, they got here about 12:30pm, but could not fix the windshield, said the crack was too big, I disagreed but they wont fix it, so a waste of time, no charge tho.

Called to make an appointment to get my cracked windshield replaced. The quote process was easy, fast, to the point and the woman I spoke with was very friendly and knowledgeable! Bill came out quickly, was also friendly, knowledgeable and fast! He did a great job at not only the removal and installation but also took the time to explain things and put everything back on the windshield where it was on the old windshield. The work looks GREAT and I would HIGHLY recommend Bill and Allstar Auto Glass in Addison! P.S. They do not charge for mobile service but you do have the option to bring your vehicle to one of their locations. Their warranty is great too!!

Ive used this company twice now - the first time they scheduled conveniently with me in short notice since I had a crack across my whole window and did not want a ticket I was in a panic but they helped resolve this efficiently and cost was not bad at all.
