The little black boxes are very unreliable. Have had to unplug power multiple times to re-upload data. First box completely crapped out. I am told this is a chronic problem with them. Live in a retirement community. Spark light should get a reliable Interface unit. That doesn’t require constant service or replacement.

8 hours out of internet service. No explanation, waited an hour for tech support (with no answer).Losing money due to working from home during a global pandemic. Or, not working from home at the moment as it turns out.This company has absolutely atrocious customer service. They do not have representatives available accept for extremely limited hours during the week.Don’t forget, you can file complaints with the FCC, BBB, Public Utilities Commission & State Regulatory Commission. Also if need be, you can go the Pre-Arbitration route.If I could give this company a negative star rating, I would.

Im a new customer (about a month). Ive had extremely slow speeds and outages since I signed up. One line technician knew exactly what was wrong and how to fix it, and he drove here from Ada Oklahoma to make things right. And he did. This weekend, the cable internet was right for the first time thanks to Brandon in the Ada Oklahoma Sparklight office! This guy knows his stuff. Thanks Brandon.

We had to call for assistance with our wireless service equipment set up. We were scheduled for the next day. Our tech, Shane, came out on a Friday after 6 pm due to extra scheduling for him, and were very grateful he worked us in. Shane was great, professional and efficient and got us up and working quickly. And he had one more service call after ours! Wireless is working well now. Thank you, Shane!

Absolute worst service ever currently been on hold for 15 minutes after being hung up on from another hold that was 1.5 hours this is ridiculous! Oh and haven’t been able to you know use my service I pay for since most august without getting repeatedly kicked off had multiple different techs out multiple different times. This time they said they called and messaged and I didn’t respond so they cancelled my appointment yet my call logs and message history show no such thing if I could give negative stars I would.

Dont trust them when they say they will come at a certain time to setup your internet. They told me theyd come within a certain range of time and after 2.5 hours after that range passed without a call or anything, well, Im here considering other options. I dont have all day to sit around waiting for these people to come whenever they feel like it, and not notify me of changes. Im the paying customer, or at least I was.

This is one of the worst internet services I’ve ever had. Besides their horrid customer service, over multiple different occasions, and the fact that I pay $120 a month for internet that works half of the time and gives me at most 40 megabytes of download speed when it should be near the 250 range. The employees are very rude and act as if it is the end of the world to help you. You would think they would be more receptive seeing as they are only open for NOT EVEN FIVE HOURS a day for only 4 days a week. That’s assuming they aren’t closed for lunch for 2 hours. I would NOT recommend. At least AT&T have better hours to contact them.

When I call the local Cable One office I would like to be able to talk someone in that office. Cable One should make it a priority to get new customers internet installed with a week. I had to wait a month because they didn’t have an appointment available when I could be home. I am happy that I had the opportunity to use my own router. The internet is somewhat expensive, but it’s my only option where I live.

I havent had any serious issues with Cable One. Data Caps are horrible and havent been needed in years. And it was getting to the point where I way paying way too much, and not getting anything extra for it. Well, I complained. More preaching than nagging or yelling. Just pointing out that it was to the point where it felt immoral to price gouge as much as they were doing. And the next month, my data becomes unlimited, and I get a 50 percent increase in speed. And 10 dollars off of my bill. Now, I still think that the cost is too much compared to other countries. $150 is still an insane amount of money for 300mbps and unlimited data. Europe does not allow their ISPs to charge that much for that kind of service. But an improvement is an improvement. And Ive been able to get rid of unwanted cable because of it. The people that work in Ada are polite and helpful as well. If you live in the Ada area, theyre likely your best choice.

Had it for a little over 2 months now. There was already a hookup so I just called to set up everything and then stopped by the store. The lady working was pretty uptight but it was brief and I already knew how to set it up. The Internet works great and I just do everything through my Xbox. I just now had to power cycle it for the first time.

My internet kept dropping from the modem that I had received that I pay $8 a month for. Called up Cable ONE and they had great customer service skills on the phone and at the Ada office as well. So far Ive had a decent experience and only have went over once on the new 300GB plan.

Terrible customer service. Had an issue that a regular rep couldnt resolve, supervisors were never there to take calls, but was repeatedly assured I would get a call back. I was promised this on at least seven occasions, and no one ever called me back. The issue only got resolved because I filed a complaint with the FCC.

Cable One is one of the poorest internet services providers I have ever come across. I first got Cable One to get the Unlimited Internet Data service pack for 50 a month. After the first 5 months they changed my plan to 300G Data plan without mentioning to me that my plan had changed. I have had to call their customer support multiple times which is by far one of the rudest, and most unhelpful support I have ever received. They treat their customers like dirt, and are completely and utterly disorganized. I would give them no stars if I could.

95% of the time, the service is GREAT. that other 5% of the time. meh. Though that is probably because at one point someone knocked the cablebox that feeds the apartment off the lag bolts and it was on the ground for a bit. The installer put it back up, but not very well secured (its heavily tilted to one side) so I think rain gets in it and messes with our signal

We just got a notice that we need to upgrade our package again. Which is hard to believe since my husband, daughter, and I cant even get the internet to work on our phones. On the odd occasion it does work on our phones we cant get calls or text while connected. So the only thing we use it for is for watching Hulu, Netflix and Amazon prime. And video games. It doesnt even work all the time for watching movies. I think its time to try something else. Im glad there are finally some more options.

It’s good for the most part. But sometimes during the day the internet connection to my PS4 becomes really bad and it becomes nearly impossible to play online. I’m really hoping that it is just something wrong with my PS4 and not the internet, but if it keeps happening and I deduce that it is the internet rather than my PlayStation then I’ll probably call in to figure out what is going on. All around good, but possibly bad (we’ll see).

Our company is based in Ada, we run competitive esports events. This is very demanding on our internet bandwidth and speed. We have had Cable One for around 6 years, in those 6 years we have had a total of 4-6 hours of down time. This is amazing compared to some other ISPs. We stream close to 20 hours a week and have never had an online event interrupted by down time. We were a little disappointed when we could not get over 12/mbs of upload speed, but that has recently changed and we couldnt be happier. Not to mention all this is on a residential account! We hope to switch to a business account soon as we are growing rapidly.

We asked them why they cancelled our appointment .The customer service said she do not know the reason, she put our schedule off on 8/29. No reason! We are students, we need to do homework every day, we can only take our laptop and sit outside to do our homework. We dont know why they are so terrible, racism?

Have Cable One highspeed very high over-priced internet service.I moved to a new apartment. Ive had Dish Network for the last several years because of Cable Ones overpriced and simpleton channel packages.The new apartment doesnt allow Satelite. I kept Cable One internet but ordered a cable one channel package by walking in to their physical building in town here that will set you up with service but wont take payments, since, they are so customer centered (NOT).I ordered the channels on the 5th of Oct. Lady told me the earliest I could get the channels hooked up would be 1 week later on the 12th. Told me to pick a time as they do so I picked 2 - 4 pm. Installer called me at 1:50pm to ask if I was home. I said yes and verified the address twice. He said he was on his way. Over 2.5 hours later he had not arrived. I could not call him back because his call showed up as UNKNOWN. So I called the main office number in Ada, Ok., at, 4:54 pm, almost an hour past the deadline. The operator answered in Arizona. She said the installer rang my doorbell and waited 20 minutes and I didnt come to the door. I told her thats impossible, 1. because my dog would have gone crazy, 2. I was here the whole time along with my sister, 3. I can see someone approaching my door, and told her it didnt happen. She asked if I wanted to reschedule. I said I want to cancel the order Ive had it with the gotcha, nothing you can do because were a monopoly, attitude. Not the first bad experience with this company. Their phone answers with, Thank you for choosing Cable One. Dont thank me, because theres not another cable company in town or I never would have chosen Cable One. I waisted an entire day I could have used to do many other things more important. Im so angry Im have a hard time typing. Fed up with CABLE ONE! Cost me a day in my life!Ha Ha. this program wont even let me post unless I at least give 1 star.Again, not my choice. I would not give 1 star.

I too have had cable one for a long time. Canceled the cable part and have had just internet for the last 4 years. I too was just paying 50$ in the begining and now pay 113.50$ a month. They send me an email that says I have went over, again and will have to go up to the next level. I refuse to pay another penny. It will be cancelled Tuesday

CableONE no-showed for my two hour time slot to set up service at my new location (which was a Friday and they are closed Saturday - Monday). Its not difficult to call ahead and let me know you wont make it. It is also impossible to talk to anyone locally about issues. Even if you call the local number, you get transferred out and around. Its unfortunate that Ada doesnt have other cable internet options -- its that reason that allows CableONE to function like they do and still have customers.

Not super sure why all these low reviews are here. Ive been using Cable One for 3 years at my apartment (just 3 minutes from ECU) and Ive not had any issues with rate changes save for the expiration of the promotional plan I got when I first signed up. I pay $68 a month, and I believe $8 of that is due to me renting one of their modems. My last one burned out due to the brownouts in the area. Every time Ive called for customer service or paid my bill, the help is usually quick and efficient and I dont end up being given a run-around. I only use it for internet, which only rarely lags for me. I stream games, livestreams, and netflix on it all the time.I think maybe if you plan on using Cable One, its best if youre within city limits and you read the fine print carefully. The only time I had a major issue is trying to figure out what modems work with the provider (and the list is sort of difficult to find).

Terrible just terrible. Their internet sucks so bad and they charge you a ridiculous amount of money for the worst internet in Oklahoma. I have had cable one for 8 years ( not by choice) it used to be $50 for unlimited internet and now its $150 and its not even faster and It still drops all the time and is just terrible. If Ada ever gets another internet provider I will switch to it as fast a possible. I wouldnt recommend cable one to anyone. They are a terrible company who doesnt care about it customers
