Had a great experience with this company. It started at the Lubbock location. They didn’t have the trailer I was looking for, but Ray was a tremendous help, by looking all over the South Plains, and finding what I was looking for at their Abilene facility. With no commissions going to him, Ray entered all of my credentials to ensure a smooth transaction. Once in Abilene, I noticed that my trailer had already been pulled out of inventory and waiting in the parking lot. I was greeted by Barry Gurley. Super nice guy, and knowledgeable. Even with all the questions I had, Barry was able to get me in and out the door in under 15 minutes. In this day and age it’s refreshing to see a company who’s focus is customer satisfaction, and these guys certainly personify that.

I highly recommend this location for your trailer needs… We came across it when a previous trailer had to be repaired unexpectedly. He got us in with no questions asked. Once we began looking to purchase a new one, we called and one had come in the same day, the tires weren’t even on yet…He gave us his word he would hold it for us while my Husband was on the road and three days later we were able to purchase our new 40ft 25GN trailer and it is an absolute beauty!

Very great team of guys here, was in and out with a brand new trailer, with accessories and a great price in about an hour. Barry was very helpful and made sure the trailer I bought operated and attached to my truck without issue. I have looked for months for a Dump trailer and finally found one in Van Alstyne, Texas. After further research I found the same one in Abilene, Texas for over a thousand dollars cheaper. The dealer(Abilene) waited for 30 minutes after closing so that I could drive the 1.5 hours to pick it up on the same day. Thanks Barry Love the trailer!

Was on a business trip across the country delivering product towing an enclosed trailer, brand new axles on my work trailer. After the idiots I hired to replace the axles, negated to torque the lug nuts down, I lost a wheel on the freeway. Stephen the manager, was able to get me in replace my hub and had a new rim and tire for me, got me squared away and back on the road in less than an hour. A must go to place for any all trailer services and products one needs!

Stopped in today to buy a 14ft trailer with no appointment. Barry greeted me immediately and asked what he could do for me. Took me directly to what I asked for and didnt push anything on me. We just had a minor issue with our hitch pulling our travel trailer. The personnel were so accommodating, kind, helpful and courteous. Then they said no charge, offered us a cup of coffee and wished us a safe trip! It was such a refreshing experience. No place like Texas!!!

Barry made my purchase as an enclosed cargo trailer owner so easy. The process was so quick. I picked out the trailer I wanted, filled out paperwork, got financed, trailer was inspected, tow hitch put on, truck hooked to trailer. I was showed how everything worked and hooked up and i was on the road all in a matter of an hour. Barry really knows his stuff. Very knowledgable on all trailers and products sold. Super nice guys very polite, professional, and on the ball to help somebody get back on the road!!Stephen happened to have an axle laying around but was missing a hub, ask him to track one down and Id go pick it up.Enough said Steven got on the ball and made it happen!!Found the part in Odessa, I ran and picked it up but didnt make it back in time before closing.Steven had me meet him at the shop on Saturday (which they are closed on Saturday) we assembled the axle and I took possession of it.I did an axle swap but spring perches needed to move, Isaac (Stephens shop hand) was kind enough to drive 50 mi out of his way each way, (on a Sunday nonetheless) to weld some perches in place for me.Super polite professional and did his job flawlessly!!!The sales man was also very polite and accommodating, made my daughter and me feel welcome!!THESE GUYS ROCK!!!Myself and my daughter are home safe Axel worked flawlessly I cant say enough about these guys and how good they were to me!!JOB WELL DONE 👍I will do business with these guys again!!🤙GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!GOD BLESS TEXAS!!

Great experience with Big Tex. We needed a trailer to move from San Antonio to Abilene, which we intended to do over a week. Unfortunately, an unexpected ice storm set us back. I have call several trailer companies, then i called Big Tex Trailer in Abilene, Tx. Mr. Gurley answered then phone, i dont remember the last time i had such a great person to speak with, he answered all my questions and even took a couple pictures of a live stock trailer so i could see particular areas of the underside of flooring. I wanted 5 rails not including the outer frame it had what i wanted it was a 24 CM stock trailer. He was the greatest sales person i have talked to. So i drove several hours to pick it up. We did most of the paperwork via text. They even suggested a nice place to have lunch. They had the trailer ready so i could get back on the road again. I talked with a few of the other employees they all seemed as if they enjoyed being at work and everyone had a smile on the face. This was my very first time purchasing a trailer. I was very uncertain about the questions to ask and what to expect from the salesman. As I contacted this particular location the entire experience was amazing!! The salesman that helped me was Barry. He held my hand and didnt make be feel embarrassed to ask questions, no matter how simple they were. He made so much effort to keep in contact with me through the entire process even though I drug it out for a couple of weeks. Each person that greeted me inside the office was clearly interested in helping me. I will purchase every trailer from now on from this location, without a doubt.

We were looking for a trailer for our new business. Steven was hilarious and made the shopping fun. Barry way a breeze to work with and found me just what I needed. Though it took a while to get what I needed due to Covid but everyone in the shop made things a lot easier. The mechanic was a cool guy, quick and efficient at hooking the trailer up to our truck.

Big shout out to Barry! Saw what I wanted online and requested a quote. Barry contacted me early the next day. Sent me additional pictures and sold me. A few hours later I arrived at the business and all the paperwork was ready and went seamlessly. I asked for a nut to be tighten before I left the lot and Barry knocked it out himself. Everything about this purchase was great! We did most over the phone and they even met me on saturday(normally closed) for pick up of the trailer!

Barry is the man.Let me preface this review with a few pertinent details that will assist you in better understanding how and why I came to Big Tex in Abilene and why I’ll never buy another trailer from anyone but Barry again in my life.I’m from Houston, I spent Wednesday, Thursday and part of Friday going trailer store to trailer store, only to find that they either didn’t have what they said/advertised and tried to up sell me or they lacked the knowledge to adequately understand why I needed a trailer with such specific features and instead attempted to divert me to something that would have been of no use to me.So it’s Friday, I’m 6 hours away from Abilene and I need to have a a 14GN 28+5 in my drive way Monday morning. I’ve been all over Houston and seem to be just one step behind someone else who was looking for the exact same trailer. I’m being told the closest trailer available is in California, followed by an upscale attempt. So I expand my search to Oklahoma City(They were extremely helpful, understaffed but once I was able to get ahold of them they were great), who inform me that there’s two trailers in Abilene.When I called Big Tex Abilene Barry answered. He was knowledgeable and knew exactly what he had on the lot. He was attentive to my needs and understood what features I needed and why. He was thorough and made sure that the trailer I wanted was in fact available so that I wouldn’t waste a 6 hour drive to find out someone had a deposit on it. And lastly he was personable and didn’t try to tout his extensive trailer knowledge In a demeaning way .So I find the trailer by way of an awesomeSales guy, its 2pm on a Friday, they close at 6pmAnd are closed Saturday and Sunday. BUT I need the trailer to be on my truck, in my driveway Monday morning. Screwed right?Nope. Barry comes in at 8am on his day off, on a Saturday when the store isn’t even open. When he’s supposed to be sleeping or having a nice breakfast with his wife he’s actually sitting up at Big Tex filling out paperwork for a trailer sales for a guy he’s never met before just because he knows I would otherwise be in a bind.That level of dedication and that commitment to derive just doesn’t exist anymore. Most people Would shrug their shoulders and say TS but good luck. But not Barry, he came through and did what needed to be done to get the job done and did it all with a smile. No “maybe you could change your plans and come in Monday” no “Man I’d love to help you but...” just results.And that is why I’ll never buy another trailer from anyone but Barry at Big Tex Abilene again.

They put a flat bed on our truck and didnt even check to see if the brake lights worked! They had it for 2 days. Still waiting on it... And its been over an hour!

It would be lower but there are no zero stars. After a month the wrong adaptor for a controller was sent. Then I was charged 4 hours labor . Long story short. 1 month 2 trips and 500 bucks later I paid for their inexperience. Lost customer 4ever.
