It has not been pleasant living here from the past 1 year. My roommate had schizophrenia and would scream all night long. Police was called several times. Crazy roommate would knock on my room door at 3am in the morning. Felt like I was in a horror movie. Took 3 agonizing months for him to leave the apartment for good. Manager initially contacted me and then he would not reply to my emails nor phone calls about updates. Called the main office 4 weeks ago to inform that someone vomited outside the apartment and on the staircase. Residue of the vomit is still there till today. Main door lock is broken from the past 2 months. Have to change the lock awaiting parts from the past 1 month I have been told. Refrigerator leaking water inside. Roof is leaking rain water inside the closet. Then I see a note on my door to renew my key. I went today and met new assistant manager and when I explained it to her my problems about the lock she simply walked away in front of receptionists. Very rude, never felt so frustrated. It is not what you say is how you say it!!!! No customer service and the manager should have acted professional rather than running away from the situation. Very very bad!!!!!

The second night living here there was 2 flying roaches that came from my bathroom. There was a spider in my room that came probably from the living room and second to last I was sleeping and there was a random black bug on the floor. Lastly, having a “nat attack” in my room. Several gnats flying in my room during the day hard to study and do regular basic things. Overall if you move in here prepare for the worse.

Apartment when I moved in was extremely dirty. The management was made aware and they still did nothing the entire year I lived there. When I moved out they charged me for cleaning the apartment when I had already cleaned, when I confronted them, Cara, one of the managers took off the charge and then added it back on after stating we didn’t have to pay. I still have not heard from her regarding the payment, its been about a month. If you are thinking about living here, DONT. save your money and time.

For starters, I came here because the club house looked phenomenal and the model room looked nice. Study lounge was also pretty nice. Now when I actually get into my room, it smells horrible, base board scuffed up, paint is continually patched. The drawer set in my room broken, the desk in my room has scratches all over it, the door knob on my room looks like it got chewed up. In addition, crickets all over the apartment. The washer missing a knob. The carpet cheaply patched up. The place wreaks and I regret getting a lease here. Dont make the same mistake I did. They fool you with the modern amenities from the club house but the room itself looks like barf. Please dont come here its not a great idea and will regret it instantly. Oh one more thing, room mate matching is messed up, I put on my preferences that I do not want someone who drinks and as it turns out my room mate drinks about 5 gallons of that stuff a day. pretty messed up

My initial experience wasnt great as my room was not in the proper shape as expected. It took some time to get things done; however, after several complaints they addressed my issues. Arch is a great housing options for students; just that it would be great if the issues would be resolved quickly. I am hopeful of better services and responses in future. My friends have had a great time here and I am sure even I will be having a good time. There are still a couple of things which need to be sorted, and I am sure they will look after it.

I lived here for 3 years, the Arch is terrible. For those in college considering living here, rent is absolutely not worth the price they charge. All the floors and walls were really dirty when I moved in. If you decide to live here, take photos of everything in your bedroom and in the common room because the Arch will charge you outrageous maintenance/cleaning fees once you move out. I left the place cleaner than when I moved in and I was still charged over 200 in fees. Maintenance requests are never completed in a timely manner, you have to email or call them a few times before anything gets done. Id also suggest if you move in with friends, move out with them too. If you stay with the Arch after your friends move out, theres no telling if your new roommates will be nice or complete a**holes. Living here isnt worth the stress lol

Worst living experience of my life, do NOT live here. This complex so run down and terribly managed. When I moved in, the carpets were disgusting, the baseboards were stained, and everything was sticky. Maintenance took forever to come and fix anything, and whenever they did come, they never actually finished the maintenance. People constantly are on the basketball court at 3 am screaming and hollering. When we moved out, we got billed $300 for the terrible conditions that the apartment was already in.Save your money and live anywhere else but here.

My daughter was assigned to room B of her apartment. With this being the case, there was no reason for her to request that room. Her roommate moved in prior to my daughter and must have complained about the room/bathroom. They changed my daughters room without consent and the manager, Sadie Van Klaveren, said it was my daughters fault for not specifying the room she desired. Ms. Van Klaveren said it is common practice to change rooms assignments without consent. I have a call into the corporate office to see if they can rectify the situation. If the response is anything like I received from Sadie, Im not holding my breath. On a side note, the place was not clean and the sofa was covered in stains. Theres no way Id sit on it, let alone have my daughter do so. The A/C is also broken and its still not fixed after two weeks. However, they do have a window unit in the common area.** Update ** The manager had the nerve to complain about me to my daughter when she went to check on the apartment. This doesnt display her Passion for Hospitality.

I have lived here for over 6 months and I love it. When i moved in I received an Incentive that was over $1300, and now that I renewed i received an additional $400. I was able to live here for free for several months just because i signed a lease, i didnt have to do anything extra for FREE money. The furniture in the rooms and living room are great. There is plenty of space in the living room for the amount of people we usually have over (1/2 dozen - dozen). I live in a Three bedroom with my two roommates who i had never met before moving in to The Arch, but we get along great and when we all shower in the morning to go to school/work we dont run out of hot water which is a blessing! The gates close every night (they have remote opening and closing) and our front doors have electronic dead bolts that cant be picked so i feel really safe, especially since the only thing surrounding the complex is a grade level private school. The new management is amazing too! The office staff is always putting on events where they give away free groceries, gift cards, LOTS of free food, and things like rent credits (Im talking about them giving away hundreds of dollars worth of stuff A MONTH).They are constantly making improvements to the grounds, furniture, and how they treat the community that they are creating here. The best part is that they are always asking for input from the residents, no matter what it is. This is a great place for students that want to find a welcoming home away from home. I HIGHLY recommend leasing with the Arch.

This is the absolute worst apartment known to man. They charge more than college kids can pay. They do not care about you. They only want your money. Even when I broke the lease I paid my fee and 80% of the rent for a random person, the highest management told me I have nothing to worry about with payments because I was done and they would take me out of the system. They lied and continued to give me a payment i’m not able to pay because they charge an arm and leg for one month for a college student like me.

(#1) Let me start off by saying this is my first review for The Arch. I feel I owe it to everyone who wants to make this place a temporary home. My child has lived here at “The Arch” for over a year & has had nothing by issues since day 1. And by the way, Sadie, there is no need to reply on behalf of The Arch since you’ve been no help and your replies are “meaningless”.Upon move-in, I honestly thought we were in the wrong apartment. THE APARTMENT WAS FILTHY. I believe the only cleaning they did was vacuuming the carpet. It would be my pleasure to text photos (over 50 of them) of the apartment when my child moved in. As stated in other reviews… The Arch will show you the show room, which is not what you’ll get. A picture is worth a thousand words! Here is my cell (559)25zero-657five. I came to find the Arch through two friends that were looking to live together but the other roommates fell through, and they reached out to me. We found that the Arch had just the three bedroom we needed at a reasonable price of $465/mo plus tax! When we toured, we were greeted by two friends I knew from school, and they gave us a tour with additional information of common things residents do or experience on the property, making it super easy to find new friends! One of my roommates moved in sooner than the rest of us because of his job, and while the two roommates prior were utterly disgusting, the Arch team did an INCREDIBLE job of cleaning up the place for us and ensuring our apartment was ready when we moved in, not to mention crediting my roommate for some of the damages they caused, which we used to cover our first month of groceries! When anyone asks me for some recommendations for apartment housing in Abilene, the Arch is my first choice!

The Arch Abilene is a fantastic community to live in, with the helpful staff, awesome amenities, and no worries about my bills other than rent. I fell in love with the place as soon as I walked in the clubhouse, because I was greeted with warm welcome from Andrew a Community Assistant, and the gorgeous steel chandelier hanging in the center of the sitting area caught my eye. I am so glad I decided to make The Arch my home away from home, between the amenities (gym, resort style pool, and the library with free printing!), events held by the staff serving free food or D.I.Y. crafts made acclimating to the new environment extremely easy.My room is spacious, and the closet is huge! I was pleasantly surprised when I found out that each room has their own private full bathroom , and the apartment was fairly easy to settle in to, after getting my bedding and a few decorations. With the room coming fully furnished I did not have to worry at all about getting a bed, desk, in-table, or chair for the room!I really enjoy living here! All I can say is Thank You to The Arch, and its staff for being on their game and making this community one of the BEST in the Abilene area.

They absolutely did not care about my sons safety. After my son and his roommate were held up at gunpoint in front of their apartment, they were moved into another apartment but it didnt seem to be a big deal that the new roommate was making and selling drugs in the apartment. Since my son does not want to spend any time in prison, he moved out of the apartments four months before his lease was up but had to continue paying the rent for an apartment he could not live in.I noticed someone said the furniture was great… I dont know what apartment they got but Ive been in several of those apartments and none of the furniture matches at all and none of it was great so maybe they got an incentive to say that.

They were okay, kind of took a while to get through for maintenance. However the one thing Im pissed about, is that I only had a summer lease, 2 and a half months, and I was still forced to have the carpet professionally cleaned. I even asked before hand if I needed to since I didnt have any pets and I had only been there for a little over two months and I kept it insanely clean and they said I did. Therefore I scheduled a cleaning company, had it professionally cleaned, and turned in my receipt for proof. This place is absolutely horrible. My room was infested with bed bugs and within 1 week of moving in, my entire body is disfigured from bites, rashes, and welches. I contacted management immediately when I noticed the bites but nothing was done until it was too late. Management is horrible, disorganized, and poorly ran. The apt was dirty and disgusting when I moved in, with cobwebs everywhere and urine around the base of the toilet. Carpet and kitchen floors felt grimy and looked like it hasnt been cleaned. Needless to say, I had to pack all my things and get the hell out of that place less than a week of moving in. It was a HUGE inconvenience moving again , in the middle of school, knowing the possibility that I might harbor these bugs with me to my new residence. The itching from the bites is indescribable and Im too embarrassed to even go out in public, looking like i have some type of infectious skin disease. Bottom line, I would never recommend this place to anyone unless you want to be spending a ton of money and looking like a leper. The apt number i was in was 316 so im trying to save someone from having to go through what I had to go through. Its been a hellish nightmare to say the least. This is THE WORST place to live in any city Ive been in. First of all the manager Sadie is very rude and unprofessional. I see on all these reviews the arch has replied and said to contact them with concerns which I find funny because every time I try to talk to management she is always busy. I have told the front desk 3 times that my bathroom door is broken and the first time the maintenance people just went into my room while I was at work! They didnt call text or email me that they would be going into my room unauthorized and on top of that they still didnt fix the door! I complained again about the door and 2 days later I get an email that my maintinance request was closed because it had been completed. Mind you they didnt come into the room! So the door is STILL broken. I was supposed to be getting out of my lease due to the fact that someone broke into my roomates old apartment and held them at gunpoint so as anyone, we didnt feel safe living here. Then when we were moved to a new building we had gotten moved in when we realized our front door had been kicked in prior to us moving in. The frame is messed up and only a few bolts were holding it in place, and our keys wouldnt open it half of the time! This place is terrible. They take every penny they can from you and then some by sticking you with ridiculous charges for things that never happened! Im so glad I have a lawyer to work with me on handling my affairs with these people because they are awful. All of our furniture and appliances are scratched or broken. There are holes in our walls and chipped off paint throughout the house. I definitely will not be re signing next year and no one else should either.

(they have yet to fix the fence from the last time.) The office staff is a bunch of college kids that are disrespectful and think their job is a joke and thats exactly how they treat it. Theres ALWAYS a party at the pool, Im talking 50 plus people, a loud DJ til at 930 pm, puke in and around the pool, the trash from said parties last a few days before its cleaned up. If you want a nice swim, you ll never get it here. Theres only one trash dumpster for the whole complex and the area around it is so gross! People pile trash outside their door and leave it there for days. The amount of dog poo all over the grass is horrible. The credit card system to pay rent is down often making it hard to pay rent on your terms. When i moved in the apartment was extremely dirty. The place comes furnished and the furniture is all scratched and none matches. Lastly, you can say its a gated complex when the gate is never closed... Ive never seen the gate closed once, in almost a year.

Yes they tell you vendors will be coming in to do the make readys on vacant rooms between this date and this date (months away). Upon leaving for my most recent vacation of 10 days the painters just walked into my apartment while I was getting ready WITHOUT KNOCKING! Total violation of my privacy that I thought I was paying for. So this time, Ive been gone for 10 days, out of state, and come home super late at night to find that my apartment that I pay for to keep me and my belongings safe and locked away besides when informed that maintenance or people for make readys will be in my apartment, obviously thats not the problem. The problem is that who knows how long my apartment has been unlocked. Being a young female adult Im blessed and lucky that there wasnt some stranger that had robbed me or even worse, somebody waiting for me to come home and do the unthinkable. Needless to say, Ill be in the office first thing to figure out how soon I can get out of here.

Worst place to live in Abilene. Overcharge for everything. Management is unprofessional. Maintenance comes in whenever they want regardless if you’re home or not. Rent is 480-540 per room. Not including all the fines they charge you. Appliances and furniture are old and damaged. Nothing matches. The “free” WiFi is a joke. My roommate and I have both spent over 200 dollars trying to set it up. Walls are paper thin. You’ll hear your neighbors all night. Don’t waste your time or money here.

I thought this place was supposed to be under new management and improving, but sadly I was mistaken. Recently they had something set up for students where you could pay your rent around the time financial aid was to be given out (around August 18th). What they didnt tell you was that they would turn off services such as internet, until you paid the copay. The copay wasnt due until August 18th and its only August 8th today. My complaints were met with cliche statements of, Im sorry to hear that, and I understand, but in the end the problem (which shouldve never been a problem) was unsolved.

Worst place Ive ever lived at hands down. I could write a novel on the cons, and a sentence in the pros. I ended up leaving 4 months before my lease ended. I disliked the living conditions so bad I moved into a new apartment and paid 2 sets of rent for 4 months. I paid to not live there, basically how bad it was.

Car window got shattered by drunkards. Had no interest in my problem. Zero courtesy. When moving in the place was extremely dirty. Made the manager clean it up before I would move anything inside. The property is always littered with trash.

My experience here has been wonderful. The front desk staff is extremely helpful and kind and in the event of any maintenance issues the problem has been taken care of same day or next day.

They will nickel and dime you at any chance. If you start you lease in the middle of the month, they will charge full month rent. Be warned if you are wanting to sublease, as the staff make the process as challenging as possible. The apartments are subpar as it is, and the complex has a history with violence and criminal activity.
