My experience was similar to Jarrod Scotts. After several unanswered calls I decided to go pay them a visit. It was obvious they had not worked on my engine. After picking it up I discovered parts had been taken off my engine. I noticed one customer said he wouldnt go anywhere else. Maybe he should. I took my pick-up to a shop in Ft. Worth 2 weeks ago and its almost done and for less money.

WE HAD A TRUCK BROKEN DOWN IN THE TX AREA, TOOK IT TO 2 DIFFERENT PLACES, PAID A BUNCH MONEY AND THE WE STILL HAD THE SAME ISSUES. WE ENDED UP TAKING TO A-STAR AND THEY GOT THE JOB DONE RIGHT AND HAD MY GUYS BACK ON THE ROAD WITH NO ISSUES AFTER THAT. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!

Nothing but good things to say about George and the team at A-Star diesel! George did a full build with billet parts on my Allison trans and it’s still going strong after 25,000 miles.Truck was fully built about 16,000 miles ago by another shop that was closer to where I lived at the time and is now making 1000+rwhp and 1600+lbft of torque. I wouldn’t have hesitated to use George if I had been closer to him at the time though. Trans is still performing exceptionally well under high power levels.George also got my truck in and out fairly quickly when I cracked a head on my LML. Back in Nov. 2020. He installed new edelbrok heads and everything is still running flawlessly.Highly recommend A-Star Diesel for any of your diesel truck needs.

Axle Surgeon fixed one of their trucks. Owner was very nice when my husbands oxygen bottle cap broke, he had one of his guys lend one so the job could be finished.

George......what a great guy! Ive just had a nightmare of a wiring issue on a 1st gen Duramax, after spending countless hours and his determination to find this issue, hes once again come to the rescue! Not to mention he also built me a stage 4 transmission about 7 years ago, 100,000 miles on it and still strong as the day it rolled out of his shop. I appreciate you my friend!

A star is a fitting name. After many unanswered phone calls, went to shop, George told me I needed a new engine. Had engine installed. After many unanswered calls, went by shop. Next thing we needed was all new injectors. Installed 8 injectors. Received phone call(only one throughout 75 day period) truck was ready. Go to pick truck up, slow start, no low end power. Employees state George is gone. Take truck back 5 days later. George looks at it, hands me used ipr, map sensor, and a few other parts off of parts truck in parking lot. Says try these, if they work let me know, will warranty the new parts out. If not, I don’t know what is wrong. So, $4900 later. Truck still isn’t right. Took truck and old engine to another diesel shop. Old engine was good. 2 glow plugs were left out when injectors were installed. I think George knows Diesel engines, but he doesn’t work on or oversee all of them. There is no quality control or communication. WOULD NOT RECCOMMEND ONE STAR DIESEL.

A-Star is the place to go for 5 star work! George is an absolute guru...recently paid him to do a CP3 conversion on my LML for peace if mind. Getting better fuel mileage and performance with his tunes. Ive used all the local diesel shops over the years and George quoted me a better price and got my truck out faster than anyone else.Hes usually busy and theres a wait...for a good reason. The best is always busy!

I recently took my 07 classic 2500hd duramax to A-Star diesel for a water pump and let’s say these guys did a fantastic job! Very reasonable on the price probably one of the cheapest in town! Very friendly crew up there! Will definitely use these guys again! Read the reviews on google needing an experienced diesel shop. We are from out of town and nobody we had met had any recommendations. We went to A-Star and spoke with George and it was apparent we were in good hands. With a short description of the problem he knew exactly what our issue was. He ordered the parts, notified us they were in and we took it the next morning and it was out a little after lunch. He took the time with my husband and answered all his questions and then some. We travel for work and finding a good mechanic when you need one can be daunting, but I can truly say A-Star Diesel is a quality shop.

Travelling from New York to El Paso , I starting having problems with my pickup. I was 40 miles from Abilene, TX. not knowing anyone in the area, I called around and was recommended to A-Star Diesel Performance. I called them and they gave me directions to their shop and reassured me that they would see what they could do to get me back on the road. Walking through the door, I was assisted by their friendly staffed and they quickly started working on my truck. The found the problem, fixed it and got me back on the road within an hour! When your traveling and dont know anyone, it is a truly scary experience. I am so grateful to A-Star Diesel Performance for their assistance. I would highly recommend them. .
