I noticed several days after my haircut that my hair on the crown of my head was sticking up almost like it was a chili bowl haircut. I could not see that on the day of my haircut and I did not want it like this. I can tell it was not cut the way I wanted it which was short on top and on the sides and to put it simply, I wanted it cut short all over.I am not satisfied with my haircut.

Oh my, let me start with, Im new to town. Well, the state, and I dont trust very many with my hair for obvious reasons if you see it. I started to go to a different shop but it was appointment only and I needed this asap. So I re-search and Pauls pops up. Decide to go an extra 5mins out the way, not terrible, and let me tell you what, the man is absolutely amazing. Not only did he make me feel extremely welcomed, but he actually took the time to learn my name and a little bit about me. He made sure my hair was the way I wanted. THAT is what I look for in a barber shop. It feels like I never left the one back home. Thank you SO much Paul, and Ill be seeing you again for my next cut. I would highly recommend going here, but possibly avoid lunch time rush lol

First time at this place. Much like the rest of the reviews here-they actually listen to how you want your hair cut. And thats golden! Real friendly too. Jennifer did a great job cutting my hair! Its first come-first serve, but call ahead to get a better idea if theyre busy or not.

Have only been twice and both times were fantastic! Didnt wait but 15 seconds to get a seat and each time the barber (male and female) nailed the desired look I described to them. So glad I have found a reliable spot in this town! Will definitely be going here until I move away!

Ive been going to Pauls Barber Shop for years and have always had an excellent experience. As another commenter said, depending upon who you choose to do your hair, you may get a head/neck massage and possibly a shave with a straight razor!My hair has always looked excellent after leaving Pauls and I always feel like they appreciate my business.Reasonably priced ($15+tip) and always friendly, Pauls is a great place to get a haircut.

Paul and Eunice both do a great job cutting hair. Ive been a customer of theirs for a long time. Even though I only go in once a month, Eunice always remembers how I want my hair cut, but asks before she starts in case I have something different in mind.

I was looking for a place on the north side of Abilene to cut my hair and I just found it. I enjoyed talking to Paul and his staff. They had me in and out quick. Pauls has a great old school barbershop atmosphere and great staff.

A gem buried between the university and the hospital. Paul gave me a great haircut for under $15; while taking care to make my hair look good he was pleasant in conversation but also efficient (the haircut was less than 20 mins). I will be a regular customer.

While I appreciate the haircuts I get here, they are unreliable. I went 4 times one day to get a haircut. The hours are clearly posted but not accurate. I used my lunch to go get a haircut but arrived at about 12:10 and the sign said be back at 1:00. I went back to work and returned at 1:10. Door still locked so I sat and waited for about 45 minutes and gave up. I tried again at about 3:00 but there were 4 people waiting. I came back at 5:08 (sign said close at 5:30) and the door was locked again. Ill go to Clauds even though its clear on the other side of town.

When Paul (original owner) cut my hair in 1965-66 the shop didnt look like it does now, a one chair shop in a white frame building. I lived on Orange, and in those days Orange ran all the way through and dead-ended on Ambler east of the shop. Times do change things. I was surprised that Pauls Barber Shop still existed.

Came here with my guy friend & the barber was very rude. I asked where the restroom was and he pointed to the ground. After laughing at me, I asked again and he completely ignored me. Don’t understand why I couldn’t use the bathroom if I was a paying customer and why he was being so unprofessional about it.
