My favorite mechanic in Abilene or really any town Ive lived in. The guys here are always straightforward, I never feel like theyre trying to force me into anything I dont actually need done to the car. Pricing is always fair and they always blow away the expectations that I have for a shop.I used to always like to do my own regular services like oil changes and such... Then I found this place, they charge not much more than the supplies already cost and they handle all PITA labor that normally comes with it.My favorite mechanic that Ive ever encountered anywhere, especially in Abilene. Strongly recommend. I especially like that even when I send my wife in, they dont try and exploit her lack of knowledge on regards to cars and motors. Just genuinely good, helpful people here in all my experiences.

I go here because of the discounts I get from leasing my vehicle through 1st Choice Motors. The staff used to be friendly and knowledgeable, but now theyre rude and incompetent. Its unfortunate that there are new people that dont know what they are doing from the receptionist (Carla I think is her name) to the guys in the back. Cody is the only original that I remember, and unfortunately he is unable to provide the excellent service on his own... In one week they managed to go from 5 stars to one star... Dont go here unless youre ok with them keeping your car and doing NOTHING for DAYS AT A TIME...

Customer service is everything to me and I was welcomed very well here! I went in to have my transmission lines replaced and the work was complete sooner than expected. Theyre also very honest and not just trying to make a buck.I will be returning for any future car problems.

We call and told them we knew our Compressor for our car ac was out (another mechanic told us) and set up an apointment. At first I was thrilled the price was right and they even called back a said they could get us in a day early. Then things went wrong. On a job we were told would only take 1 day it took 5. They swore up and down it wasnt the compressor and charges us for several other things while trying to push close to $3000 of other work as nessasary (another mechanic said only 1 thing was necessary to fix $278). We got our car back and the AC they just fixed still didnt work. they had us bring it back in.....2 weeks later......to telk us that the compressor is out and that would fix it for another $637 and theyd drop the labor cost. They use predatory practices. Beware.

They did fix the problem with my truck which I was happy about but it did seem to be a lil pricey for what I had done but I will go back if need be

I am presently searching for a shop to inspect a Jeep at an Abilene dealer. While I am not yet certain as to whether I will use MY MECHANIC, I must comment that the last two reviews that tear down this auto shop really threw me for a loop. Because I am very careful about accepting reviews at face value, I always look at who wrote the reviews, the reviews that the reviews wrote in the past, and then go to alternate sites to see whether the other sites have additional reviews. I go to the BBB too, but never simply assume that a BBB business is good. (All the BBB does is help people find out who is NOT TERRIBLE. If you search the internet, you will find businesses that are Accredited and have A+ ratings, but have a lot of complaints too). (1) THE RESULTS OF MY REVIEW OF THE PEOPLE WHO GAVE THIS BUSINESS TERRIBLE GOOGLE REVIEWS: J.L-P. and D.P. never have said anything good about any business theyve used, but slammed the businesses in their other reviews. (2) OTHER REVIEWS ARE VERY FAVORABLE ABOUT THIS COMPANY. So now it is up to me to decide whether My Mechanic of or one of the other shops in the area is going to work on my Jeep. Since its a Friday afternoon, I must go with someone who can fit me in today. I cannot wait until Monday. So, whether I use My Mechanic or not, is not certain. But what is certain is that bad reviews by people who only post negative reviews, and never any positive reviews, questions the character of the reviewers more than the business, especially when other sites (other than Google) seem to give the business very good reviews. And the BBB? The fact that a company DOES NOT HAVE ANY VERIFIED COMPLAINTS ON RECORD means more to me than whether the business is Accredited. And while A+ seem to indicate an exceptional business -- and My Mechanic has an A+ -- this really is not nearly as important as noting that My Mechanic has no complaints filed against them. No complaints is what I think commends a business better than whether it receives an A+ or not.

This place used to be great over a year ago and has since become questionable. Used to be greeted with a smile and received timely quality work, both of which are gone.
