Not sanitary drop glove on floor and then wants to put them on to work in your mouth needless to say I can see why she got an infection after surgery by them although they say u did something wrong no you left slivers of bone in when u sewed. Her up. they are very nice friendly people that work there dentist is a fast talking guy I glad I was with the patient to see all this and hopefully prevented a little less bacteria. I have never seen such carelessness for sanitary purposes

The office staff is great but the dentist has no idea what he’s talking about and after getting a second opinion I regret coming. I had one visit and the dentist stabbed himself with the needle then proceeded to use it in my mouth! SO UNSANITARY

Dr. Cho and staff are very good at welcoming you as soon as they meet you.The x-rays that are taken and the computer system allows the patient to see what is happening with your teeth and gums.This allows a printout of recommend plan of treatment after the Dr examine.You, the patient is in charge of the priority and even the cost and payment plans.I had gone to another Dr. a couple of years prior who ignored the issue I was having. This in turn caused some major infection under a cracked tooth.Dr. Cho recommended a root canal, which I did have done. Even though his office was closed and he was out of town, they called me back when I explained that I was in more pain.Short version, he went in and cleaned up another crack which I created by clamping my teeth at night.He was not going to charge me for the root canal if the tooth was going to have to be pulled. He did everything he could do and the tooth was saved.I have been back 2 more times since to continue the dental plan we worked out.Dr. Cho even told me on 2 other teeth a root canal was not going to be necessary and just a filing would be fine. Saved even more money.The office is clean as well as all the exam rooms.Yes, there are small TVs but I guarantee you that is for background noise. Food network.

Cold as ICE !! My lady went there for dentures and I have to admit I have never heard more excuses for failure, lies and downright cold treatment. She return her dentures for a refund but now they even want the temporary teeth before they refund her money. So basically they are leaving her toothless because of their own failure. The temporary teeth would of gotten her by until she found a new dentist , now they want them so they can just throw them away. This only proves that Aspen Dental has little regard for dissatisfied patients.

All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The think that I would change is the amount of X-rays and the tool they use as it is very uncomfortable and big.

1 star because it won’t let me give you zero.Made an appointment for a broken tooth repair. Got called in 30 minutes late, x-ray tech was rude. Dentist did an exam, did not repair my tooth. Said I would have to come back another day for the repair. He was rough and inconsiderate. I explained I was there to get a broken tooth repaired not get an exam and he didn’t care, said I was scheduled for an exam.Exam room was dirty.Avoid at all costs.

Dentist is rude! Watched TV while working on my teeth, told me my teeth were all “not good” and was insensitive to my dental anxiety. I left in tears. Please get a second opinion if you go here if they tell you you’ll need lots of work too....

Staff is amazing, doctor is conceded. I sat for 3 1/2 to not even get my procedure completed. Ended up rescheduling 1 1/2 months later. After I get this procedure completed I will not be returning. Wish they would get a new doctor as the staff is incredible.

Dr. Danny was very informative and shared great information with the patient. He was funny and very knowledgeable. The dental assistant was also very good at easing tension and explaining thing. Both were highly professional and personable.

The dentist gave me a nutshell of what is going on with me in the way I understand.

My sons first visit to Aspen Dental was wonderful! The dentist and hygienist made him feel very comfortable, as if they were already friends. Their explanations were sincere and caring. I am very pleased with our experience.

HORRIBLE. Dr. Choi is rude and arrogant. Never listened to any of my concerns but continued rambling not letting me speak. However the other staff were amazing and very friendly! Great office, bad dentist.

I dont leave reviews much, let alone bad reviews, but I felt this is a worthy reason. I wish I could rate staff individually, as I do believe the hygienist and the receptionist were compassionate, knowledgable and helpful. However, the permanent dentist at the Aberdeen, SD Aspen Dental location as of 1/06/2020 needs to be watched. He not only needs a class in tact, he is a needlessly aggressive (and probably freshly graduated) dentist who quotes more dental work than is needed, boosting the cost dramatically. The prices themselves for the work is over-inflated. While on the chair getting an exam the dentist asked me why my teeth were so bad, to which I responded that I had a couple rough years and hadnt been in to see a dentist. He then thought it was appropriate to ask me if it was so rough due to drugs or pregnancy. I am a 35 year old female that is not and was not pregnant or on drugs. There was nothing that could even lend to either being a valid suspicion. When I told him I had Lyme disease and it has been known to cause chronic bacterial infections, he responded with a highly uneducated rebuttal informing me that Lyme was rare and curable. The CDC reports 329,000 new cases of Lyme ANNUALLY in America, that makes it the fastest growing vector-borne illness to date, an infection that is proving to be VERY difficult to eradicate if not caught early. This was all happening while he had his hands in my mouth, to where I was unable to respond until he took them out of my mouth. He told me I needed 9 fillings and a crown (and maybe more crowns if he finds I need them during the appointments for fillings). 2 days later I got in with an out-of-network dentist who I knew personally had experience with Lyme, he did x-rays and exam and determined I did not need a crown, nor did I need some of the fillings that were quoted. They were all very minor and further deterioration could be avoided if I get back on a better oral hygiene routine. Instead of $3676 worth of work I was quoted at Aspen, I will at maximum owe $1497, and that is if I pay out of pocket. I have had negative experiences overall at all South Dakota Aspen offices so far. I wont speak for the other location in this thread, but please be aware of all the added fees and inflated prices. My insurance covers 80% of minor dental work if I go to Aspen, but I would rather pay 50% vs 20% out-of-pocket to go to someone out-of-network who I feel is a lot more educated and compassionate than the dentist at this location. Horrible experience, I was very upset about it for a couple days. I hope he educates himself on Lyme, or at best, on manners and customer service. He has none. I cant speak highly enough of the hygienist there, though. She was the only positive thing about the experience aside from the receptionists that were easy to talk to and understanding.

Just moved to Aberdeen from Arizona. I made an appointment with this dentist to establish service. The appointment has been cancelled three times due to staffing issues at this location, two being the same day. Then they would still call/send emails to confirm an appointment that they have already rescheduled. Today, I had an appointment and was told to come in early to make sure everything would go smoothly. They still didnt have a copy of my insurance card that I had already brought in and gave to them earlier this month per their request. Also, I had all of the paperwork already printed out for them and filled out, so I thought everything should go smoothly. After waiting in the lobby 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment, I told them that I was leaving and that this is a very unacceptable way of doing business. I am requesting that the regional manager reach out to me in regards to this experience with this clinic. Thanks...

I was glad to get my appointment in a short amount of time--I was seen right away and a thorough routine of x-rays and exams from the hygienist and dentist followed. I was given a diagnosis of my oral health and treatment plan along with the costs. I was given an appointment to begin my treatment two days from original visit. ( Not two weeks or months like a regular office. )---So at this point I am satisfied--I will follow up after treatment.

Horrible customer service. Ive been trying for 2 weeks to get ahold of these people about my billing. Ive left multiple messages and have called different times during the day with no one answering. Does anyone work there?!. Besides the billing the work is shotty too. Why would you put bright whire temporary fillings in a kids mouth. Put in permanent! Im not coming back to toture my kid! Avoid this place at all costs!

Worst experience this place is a sham

My father went here for a consult per advise from a cardiac doctor. They quoted my father, in his late 80s, over $5000.00 for dental work. Luckily my father is smart and went to another dentist, had a cleaning, xrays and a dental check to the tune of $213.00... oh and no further work needed except a recheck in 6 months. I am inclined to believe they were trying to take advantage of his age, really no other plausible explanation for such a price difference. Hopefully I change someones mind about this business. The owner should be ashamed of himself!!Signed,A disgusted daughter!

This place is a scam. They said free initial exam , but somehow my free exam ended up in collections. In addition to their free exam that ended up in collections, they gave me an itemized list of work I needed done, some of which were many unneeded items with overpriced expenses.Honestly, I should be billing them for the terrible lies and inconveniences theyve given me. Buyer beware at this place and dont believe the incentivized positive reviews either.UPDATE: While I was very stressed about the collection account that, in my opinion, should have never happened. Im happy to say it has been resolved. Add a star or 2 for resolving the issue.

Im the type of person that puts off going to doctors due to anxiety, but when I started having a bad toothache I decided it was time to schedule an appt. The first visit was free for new patients, so that was a bonus. Everyone there was so friendly and quickly eased any anxiety I had! I appreciate them all so much!

Hesitant to make the appointment, as had never heard of them before. However, the ease of making and getting an appointment was amazing. The professionalism of the staff, yet with a genuine caring was a wonderful replacement for other places Ive been to for dental care. All procedures that were necessary were well explained, the Dr. was kind and assuring, and very professional. I wasnt used to being treated with such kindness and thoroughness in my dental care

Pros:1) The receptionist and the office manager were both very friendly and extremely polite.2) They were able to get me in for an extraction with almost no forewarning. Thank the Gods for a cancellation.3) The x-ray technician, dental hygienist and dentist were all FANTASTIC and did their best to keep me at ease (I hate dentists).4) The hygienist and dentist were cracking jokes and being extremely sarcastic during the procedure, and it made what should have been miserable only annoying - they seriously kept my spirits up!5) At one point, the suction wand wasnt hooked up quite right and the sound drowned out the drill, something most of hate. When I pointed this out, the hygienist kept the wand like that the rest of the procedure - it might have been a little annoying for them, but it seriously helped me.6) Extremely affordable for an (effectively) emergency appointment.Cons:1) The call center. When I called, I was in a lot of pain and they kept me on the phone for 15 minutes answering a bunch of crap that I had to write down on the paperwork when I arrived. Also, when I set the appointment, they said an extraction would be doable. It was only when I got in that I found out it was *actually* an appointment for an exam. If it wasnt for the office staff (like I said above) I would have left in as much pain as I showed up in.

Very professional and courteous. I actually look forward to my next visit as the care is that high.

Very thorough however, I was not happy that it will take another 100 mile trip to actually have my teeth cleaned. They do however, check a lot more than my past dentist and they accept Delta Dental so big plus.

Helped me out when no one else would. Rates are great especially if you do not have insurance! The staff was helpful and friendly when i visited, the dentist and assistants who helped me were very professional and kind, explaining everything i asked them. Would definately go back!

Clinic here sent me down without telling me to fast the morning of, which is a pretty major thing to let a patient know.Also, was told that insurance would cover all the costs and that theyd checked to make sure. Then got a bill for $270. Pretty frustrating.

While the staff was kind, it took forever. I arrived half an hour early for my appointment by mistake. I wasnt asked in until ten minutes after my appointment was scheduled for. The lady who took my x-rays was sweet but kept getting interrupted by other staff members. Then I sat in a chair for 50 minutes waiting for the dentist and only saw him after I stood in the hallway and said I was supposed to be picking up my son soon. Then I waited three days for a phone call they told me Id get that same day. But, sadly I called them three days later. While the staff is friendly, it doesnt make up for their lack of professionalism.

When the lady was taking my x-rays, I was having trouble with my gag reflexes. She gave me the advice to close my eyes and breath through my nose. That and me telling myself you got this helped me overcome my gag reflex.Each of the staff I interacted with were polite and professional. They encouraged me to ask questions and they answered every one.When I originally made the appointment, the furthest out I had to schedule was only about a week. They were also able to get me in that same night for my second appointment.In their patient rooms, they even have small tvs a few feet away from you so you have something to keep your mind off the fact that youre at the dentist.I definitely recommend this dentist office to anyone.

Friendly but unprofessional staff. Several X rays needed to be redone and then another staff member commented about how bad the x-rays were to the dentist right in front of me. Same staff member was openly flirting with the dentist. Several other things happened that I thought were unprofessional but too many to list. Then at the very end I find out that I cannot have done what I need to have done in their office. I have to go elsewhere. Had I been told that when I scheduled my appointment I could have saved my time and theres and went elsewhere to begin with.

I normally despise the dentist because I have either experienced poor customer support or simply terrible people skills from past offices, but I actually looked forward to visiting a second time. I never thought I would ever say that about a dentist. With the discounts their prices are also very competitive. I am so thankful that a place like this is in town.

Lost all of its good people. The new dentist brings back all the reasons Ive hated going to the dentist. His bed side manner is terrible, he talks around the patient 90% of the time, and half of what he does finally say to the patient is mumbled. It took over 2 hours for a teeth cleaning when it used to take 45, ridiculous. I was a patient for years but Ill never go back

I went in for a cleaning, and instead of the cleaning I scheduled they told me to do an examination. (They refused to take my records of my previous dentist). The main staff were nice but their services were slow and expensive even with insurance. The dentist I saw cared more about a profit than the patients care.

I was judged on my teeth that I didnt have was told I needed my teeth clean that she couldnt even tell how bad things were because my teeth were so bad. Asked several times if I chew tobacco. Didnt even discuss the issue I went in for instead was slammed with 5000.00 dollars of work that needed to be done and how would I like to pay for that. The receptionist was the one that went over everything with me. I now remember why I hate going to the dentist

Only has one dentist in the office and theyre constantly booked. Waited two months for an appointment only to have the doctor be out of the office for family reasons and Id have to wait another two months. I went somewhere else.
